  1. Mine was built in late March. I bought it in early April. I'd like to see a picture of your sub, if one is installed. You can get under the center console pretty easily by pulling one of the side panels off it. I've been in a couple HC's that sounded exactly like my LTZ audio wise.
  2. I've got a LTZ. This picture is from scanning the QR code on my door jamb. There is no sub in my center console. I've had it apart and been under it. The Bose in my 2020 RST had a sub in the center console and sounded good. My 2020 Equinox does not have a sub but puts out excellent bass from the door speakers. The 7-speaker system (3 in the dash) in the Equinox has put done the 2021 AT4 I had and my current 2022 LTZ refresh. The sound outside the truck is different from inside, before and after changing the speakers. I will generally roll the windows down and listen to the stereo from the truck if I'm working in the garage. It does sound different (better) outside than in.
  3. Must be a AT4x and Denali Ultimate package then. The other trucks do not have a sub.
  4. I'm almost 100% positive. There is rumors of one in the AT4x and Denali Ultimate, but no confirmation.
  5. Where is the sub located? I don't have 7 speakers on my refresh LTZ and I have the UQA code. I have almost zero base from the stock Bose system.
  6. Must just be a AT4x and Denali Ultimate option.
  7. Those are the ones I put in the dash along with 600mhz bass blockers on the + wire. I can tell a difference with the Kicker KS 6x9 2-way front door speakers. I can agree that the bass and treble up and the mid turned about 2/3 of the way up does sound the best. I do plan on adding a 5-channel amp after the first of the year to power the door speakers and a sub.
  8. I don't think the Silverado or the Sierra ever came with a 12 speaker Bose system in the T1 platform. They did have the option for a 7 speaker Bose which had the sub in the center console. The 2022 refresh trucks do not come with the sub in the center console.
  9. Yes, same principle in the non-Bose trucks. They have adapter plates to mount the tweaters in the dash speaker spot. You would need to run wires from where you mounted the component cross-overs in the door up to the dash speaker location. I don't think it would be hard, just time consuming.
  10. There isn't one in the refresh trucks.
  11. I did not use a cross over or component set for my door speakers. The speakers for the dash I got are replacement 2-3/4" speakers. They wire up using the factory wiring. There is no plug adapter for the factory wiring so you have to cut the OEM plug off. I left enough wire on the OEM plug to add it back if I sell the truck and take the speakers out.
  12. No separate sub in the refresh.
  13. They make the best harness available to just plug into your factory harness. Theirs doesn't require any splicing at all to add an amp.
  14. I have the Bose and it sucks compared to my wife's 2020 Equinox Bose setup. Her car will rattle the mirrors on my truck parked next to it in the garage. The Kicker speakers I went with are rated up to 150 watts RMS on the 6x9's. Eventually I am going to add a 5 channel amp and a small sub under the back seat. I've just not decided if I'm going to remove the Du-Ha storage and build a custom enclosure with the 8" sub in the middle and storage pockets on either end OR if I'm going to go with the Kicker powered sub and put it inside the Du-Ha storage and NOT do an amp for the door speakers.
  15. Cost. I wanted the best bang for the buck. If I wanted to put a little more money into the speakers, I would have went with the JL Audio. I also wanted a large dash speaker than what JL offered. Kicker has the 2.75" speaker for the dash were JL would only have been a 1".
  16. Every single time my shoes are the slightest wet I about bust my ass.
  17. They are the OEM ones. My dealer ordered them and had them the next day.
  18. I swapped the chrome mirror caps on my LTZ for a painted set.
  19. The wiring adapters are for both non-Bose and Bose. The wiring adapters don't care. There are no adapters for the tweeter.
  20. The door speakers were not marked. However, if you get the wiring adapters for the 2019+ Silverado they will be set up properly. The small terminal in the wiring to the small terminal on the speaker (-) and the larger terminal on the wiring to the large terminal on the speaker (+).
  21. Yes for the door speakers it is that easy.
  22. Would 2 ohm speakers in the rear door work? Probably. The OEM speakers are 4 ohm, so if you are going to replace them, why not go with 4 ohm so you have a wider variety of speakers?
  23. Not going to say the Kicker's sound better, but there wasn't much difference with the PowerBass speakers. For the cost difference, I'll go with the Kicker's and add an amp to make them really sound better. I did replace the rear door speakers with 6.5" Kickers. All 6 speakers in the truck match. The rears made a difference over the OEM ones. There was even more difference when I went with the baffles. The OEM rear and dash speakers are 4 ohm. Crutchfield didn't send rear speaker adapters so I went with these instead of the adapters that came with the Kicker speakers. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0811YYTNY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details They are much better built and move the speaker out closer to the door panel. With the baffles installed, there was a significant difference in sound from the rear speakers.
  24. I installed the PowerBass speakers and ran them for a day. They sounded just ok. They almost had the same sound as the OEM speakers. They wouldn't fit with the baffles under the door panel. The PowerBass speakers specifically say in the instructions "Do not use with aftermarket amp". They also only have about 1/2 the RMS power handling that the Kickers have. I wound up going back to the Kickers with the baffles. My plan changed a bit and probably next month I'll add an amp to power the door speakers so I get the full sound from them. I'll just have to keep in mind the volume will be a little louder until I add the amp.
