  1. I got these. Powerbass OE-690D 6x9 Midbass OEM Replacement Speakers/Woofers (Pair) https://a.co/d/aeT4H3U I've got the Bose system in my truck.
  2. The PowerBass 6x9's I've got coming today are 2 ohm. They have dual voice could that are 4 ohm each. They can be wired to 2 or 8 ohm depending on how you wire the voice coils together. I'll update how they are later today when I get them installed. 4 ohm speakers will lower the volume when the amp is looking for 2 ohm. It is weird that the other speakers are 4 ohm but the front door speakers are 2. Yea, the dash speakers made a huge difference. The only drawback is the dash chimes (turn signals, etc) are lower. I think that has to do with the bass blockers I installed.
  3. I went with these baffles front and back. NVX XBAF65 Foldable Silicone 6.5" Speaker Baffle with Egg Crate Foam, one Pair/Box https://a.co/d/5xKRqMw I used the Kicker KS Series so far in all 3 locations (6x9 in front door, 6.5 in rear door, and 2.75 in dash). The dash speakers came with the plates to mount them. I also went with these rear door adapters. They are a lot sturdier than the ones Crutchfield sent. They also move the speaker out closer to the door panel. RED WOLF Front/Rear Door 6.5" Inch Aftermarket Speaker Update Install Speaker Adapter Bracket Spacers for Chevrolet 2006-2021, GMC 2006-2020, Some Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac https://a.co/d/7pDReV6 I do have a pair of PowerBass 6x9's coming to try in the front doors. They are a dual voice coil that can be wired to require 2 ohms from the amp. Since the front door speakers were 2 ohm, I'm hoping these help with the sound. The Kicker 6x9's sound better than the OEM speakers, but still not what I'm expecting. I know my expectations shouldn't be high without adding an amp, but our 2020 Equinox factory Bose system rocks (granted the Equinox is a 7 speaker system). If I can get the truck close I'll be happy.
  4. I didn't take any sound samples. It would be hard to tell on a cell phone video anyway. I did do the doors. I did Kicker in there as well. I've got a pair of PowerBass 2ohm DVC 6x9's coming to see if the front doors sound better vs the 4 ohm Kickers. I've also got baffles coming as well for all the doors. That should make a difference as well since they have cones on them to get the sound directed towards the door panel grill instead of letting sound filter out behind the door panel. The dash speakers had the + marked on them so it was just a matter of plugging the wire clip back in and seeing which wire was on the + side. I left enough wire on the factory plug so I could go back to it if I wanted to put the factory speakers back in. The only down side to the bass blockers is the turn signal sound is quieter than without. I may take the blockers out to see what it sounds like without them.
  5. The dash speakers are super easy in the refresh compared to the 19-21 trucks. In my 2022 refresh with Bose, the front door speakers are 2 ohm while the dash and rear doors are 4 ohm. If replacing your dash speakers, there isn't a wiring adapter available. The driver side + wire is the blue with purple stripe. The passenger side+ wire is the white with yellow stripe. I used the PAC BB-2PR 600hz at 4 ohm bass blockers on the dash speakers. To get to the dash speakers in a refresh interior, both A-pillar trims have to come off, then the speaker trim will pop up. The grills are connected to each other by the panel all across the dash. It pops up really easy. The HUD or Driver Alert trim comes off with it. There is enough wire that you don't have to unplug the Driver Alert light. See the picture for reference. Just an FYI for those interested.
  6. I will do mine this weekend. From my research you have to remove both A-pillar trims and then the speaker covers pop out. They are connected across the top of the dash with the piece at the base of the windshield.
  7. I ordered Kicker 6x9's for the front and 6.5's for the rear. I got Pioneer 2-3/4's for the dash. The reason I asked was because I ordered them for a 2021 since Crutchfield says they don't have wiring adapters for the 2022 refresh. I may go back in the future and add a 4 channel amp for the speakers.
  8. Did you ever figure out how to get the dash speakers out on the refresh dash? My new speakers should be here Thursday and I would like to install them this week.
  9. I'd say technically yes since you get reward points based on the purchase price. I wish it was that way when I bought my 2022 refresh. I subscribe to the service anyway and would even if some features didn't require it. For me, I like paying upfront and possibly getting a discount for paying in advance. It locks in the pricing so if there is a rate hike down the line, I don't have to pay it.
  10. Does anyone have the instructions to remove the door speakers and dash speakers from a 2022 refresh Silverado?
  11. You can make any of the gauges show temperature in either F or C. If you are talking about oil temperature, that gauge isn't an option. My transmission gauge in the picture above is shown in F.
  12. You'll have to replace the grill as well, but this is an option. https://www.gen5diy.com/products/2019-2020-1500-silverado-led-headlights I actually like the 2022 Silverado refresh headlights better than the ones I had in my 2020 Silverado and 2021 GMC.
  13. If you go into cluster settings, there is a lower gauge option that will say "Maximum". That will show Fuel, Voltage, Coolant temp, and oil pressure across the bottom. It will not display it in degrees, volts, or level % though. You can put the transmission temperature on the right or left gauge center. However, if you put the truck into Tow/Haul Mode, the Coolant Temp will change to the transmission temp on the bottom. See my cluster layout.
  14. Your Custom has the same programming architecture as the pre-refresh trucks (same dash, same programming). The digital cluster from the refreshed trucks will not work.
  15. That's what I was reading as well. I'll let GM replace it under warranty. Thanks
  16. No, I do not have the GM or Curt hitch protector installed.
  17. The Multi-flex tailgate on my 2022 refresh will not open the upper portion of the tailgate. I've tried to enable/disable the upper portion by holding the button for 3 seconds, but the taillights will not flash. I've got an appointment next week to have the dealership look at it, but was hoping it was an easy fix I could do at home. Anyone have any ideas?
  18. The refreshed 2022 trucks have the same hood. Unless you have a 2022 Trailboss then the only difference is the center of the hood.
  19. Anyone need/want the OEM turbo boots and the PPE airbox boot? The OEM boots are from a 4k mile '22. The PPE boot has never been installed. New from GM Parts Direct the OEM boots are $150 plus shipping. $50 plus the ride in a USPS flat rate box.
  20. I installed the PPE turbo to intercooler and intercooler to intake boots today. These were super easy to install. It took all of maybe 20 minutes to do. I haven't driven the truck yet with them, but I don't expect much of an increase. The main reason to get them was to get rid of the OEM boots that are made from rubber and are prone to blowing. The OEM boots are very soft and squishy compared to the PPE boots that are very firm; there is no squishing them together. I already had the PPE resonator delete installed.
  21. I like your wheels better than the 20's on my refresh LTZ. The refresh LTZ's got a painted silver wheel instead of the polished wheels the pre-refreshed LTZ's got. I'm trying to find a set of the pre-refresh LTZ wheels for mine, but refuse to pay $1200-1500 for wheels alone (and I don't need tires with 4,052 miles). However, if I can find a set with tires for less than $750 I'll have them and have a set of winter wheels/tires.
  22. Those are standard features on the HC refresh trucks.
  23. Sharp looking truck. I've noticed that there are not a lot of them on the road in my travels. The only thing I don't like on the HC refresh is the wheels. I like the pre-refresh HC wheels a lot better.
