  1. Believe its 10sp only. I have a whine also while driving or in park. Not sure where it's coming from but they didnt seem to concerned. If you take yours in and they fix it, let me know. Maybe I'll hit the back up and ask again. Mine has sounded like this since day one and it never gets louder or lessens the more it heats up. Its all a constant.
  2. Since I’ve seen a lot of posts mentioning this noise and GM seems to elude to its normal, I am just leaving it be. If it gets worse with time etc I’ll make them do something. I didn’t want them to swap the transmission out if the next one was going to do the same thing.
  3. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11012007-0001.pdf It has a few items on this list but about youre looking for the below portion. Reaction Gearset Whine (Gearset One) With variation in gear tooth finish and positional control, some customers may experience whine from the reaction planetary gearset during light to moderate driving conditions. Most common conditions to hear whine from the reaction gearset is in 4th and 5th gear (20-35 MPH) (32-56 KPH). Reaction gearset is active in gears 3-6 and 8-10 so depending on severity it may be possible to hear in gears other than 4/5. Frequency of whine will change as transmission shifts gears due to component rotation speeds being changed. Utilizing manual tap to shift through gears is a good way to verify what gears whine in present in. Note: Whine from the reaction gearset should not be present in 7th gear due to the 1:1 ratio and gears being locked. If whine is present in 7th gear, issue likely lives with some other component.
  4. Mine has made the same noise since new. There is a TSB about it. My dealership said the same thing, it's normal. Its generally around 3rd to 4th gear and its gone around 38mph.
  5. Haven't had a single hard downshift in my 2026 2500HD LTZ TB. It's been pretty smooth. The only thing mine does is have a whine around 3rd and 4th gear up to about 38mph. This is supposedly normal operation too.
  6. I owned a 2022 Silverado 1500 ZR2 and those seats were firm as hell. It was like sitting on a rock. Drove a Ram 1500 when my truck was in the shop. Seats are way move comfortable in those. I will say though my 2026 Silverado 2500 LTZ TB seats are better than the ZR2 was but the Ram's were still better.
  7. Isnt the lock cylinder for the door hidden in the handle?
  8. I could handle 1 second. The amount of time it is right now is just too much considering it’s a $75K truck. They may tell me to pound sand though. We shall see.
  9. Yeah I feel you. I think I’ll bring this up and tell them we will be waiting on doing anything since it shifts fine. Unless they can produce something saying it shouldn’t be. That TSB didn’t seem to allude to doing anything. On a side note, I want them to replace my driver side mirror again. They recently replaced it to stop a whistle. Now it tastes 2-3 seconds longer to fold than the passenger side. Figure Ill get a good one eventually lol
  10. Yeah I saw a tech service bulletin say the same thing. Gonna bring it up with then. Rather then not have to replace the transmission if it’s going to do the same thing.
  11. Mine is a 2026 and yes, it's gas. As for build date, I think it said Aug of 2025.
  12. Count my 10 speed in there for the 2500 HD Gas. Has a whine around 3rd/4th gears. They are thinking the planetary gears are not right. I have read a few post theirs has done this since new just like mine has. They are talking about getting an entirely new transmission. The truck has less than 4K miles on her.
  13. I believe you said a gas ZR2 2500? If that is the case, it's BS 100%. I have a gas 2500 and get around 11 in the city. It sure as hell isnt jumping to 18 on the hwy. Most likely, if youre talking hwy MPG, it will get 14. That would put you at 504 a tank.
  14. Let me know how it turns out.
  15. I did get in touch with BA. They said due to the curvature of the cab, it's the way it's supposed to look. They did say if I slide the boards all the way forward it would take of it out. I just cant have them sitting all the way like that. Would drive me nuts looking off centered.
  16. This is what it looks like from the side.
  17. This is from directly above. there are no adjustments on the brackets. The boards were all the way to the rear originally so I moved them more to the middle to try to take some of it out but it didnt help much.
  18. I just had their Lumastep M2 installed on my truck. Dont care for the way the guy wired up my engine bay at all Id play hell trying to decipher through it to fix it. The boards seem fine so far. The only thing I dont care for is the fact that the rear of the cab has a curve inward so the boards stick out on the backside.
  19. Personally I wish they would go back old school. Every vehicle I have owned that has had AFM/DFM and I disabled it, didnt change my MPG that was anything noticeable. The previous 1500 I had, a 2022 Silverado ZR2, had the AS/S and DFM disabled along with 0W40 oil and no noticeable change in MPG. IMHO, most of this stuff seems more gimmicky and cost more in the long run to both the OEM and consumer Luckily, this time around, I just purchased a 2500 with the 6.6L gas so nothing but engine there.
  20. My question would be, considering both former attempts at deactivation most people hated and had issues, what makes them think third time is the charm? I kinda expect the same results with it as the previous two attempts.
  21. I am selling the steps that came on my truck (2026 Silverado 2500HD). They were on the truck for less than 300 miles. As you can see from the link, new they are $1,195. I am asking $900 for them if you are in the Pensacola area. https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/crew-cab-off-road-high-clearance-assist-steps-in-black-85654359?body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&bodyNumDoors=5&bodyNumDoorsId=5&make=Chevrolet&makeId=47&model=Silverado 2500 HD&modelId=494&wheel=Standard Box&wheelId=349&year=2026&bac=288285
  22. I looked yesterday and mine did not come with a manual. I downloaded it day one so no big deal to me.
  23. Absolutely hate the headlamps. Remind me of an older model GMC.
  24. I thought that there were two different modules there, one for the standard back up and one for the hitch. Well then, maybe the new module sucks or they didnt actually change it. That sucks. That's also weird considering every other vehicle I have owned with this, all cameras looked the same. You can even see the shading of the rear camera from the "overhead" view too.
  25. Since I purchased my truck in October, the rear camera has always been darker compared to all of the cameras on the truck. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the backup camera, however, it did not fix the issue. When I showed the SA it wasnt fixed, we looked at the trailer hit camera and it was dark also. He said he had to open a case with GM to try and figure it out. My question is, if anyone knows, what is the common connection for both cameras. I assume they both connect to a central point somewhere and maybe that is the issue since it doesnt appear to be the camera itself. Thanks
