    I understand that it was there, I was just saying what the dealership said when I asked about it. I was told no extension. Maybe it's something GM itself will add? I can only relay what I was told. Granted my truck fell under the 0000 recall. Not sure if that matters or not. According to My Chevrolet, the recall is still open. Maybe due to the fact they had to order the cap. LOL

    Mine was completed just a bit ago. Passed the test and they changed the oil. They have to order the oil cap. There was NO extra warranty included according to the dealership. So there is the end of that rumor too I suppose.

    Mine called me then texted me days later. I finally called on Monday and scheduled it for Friday. Figured even though I changed my oil about 1500 miles ago I might as well get this out of the way. I needed a couple of warranty items looked at anyway.

    Id say mine isnt too far off judging from the readings on the Autel scanner. Unless they get their readings from the same place that is. The scanner does absolute pressure too.

    My dealership called me Friday wanting me to bring mine in. The lady was like this is so important because its a safety recall....lol I told her Id get back to her since we were building desks for our office at the time.

    Maybe. However, I am sure not switching it back just to do this test. The test can pass and they change my oil for all I care. At the end of the day, when any of them still go bad it's on GM to fix it. We all know it's a bandaid fix and the engines are already worn and WILL still go bad. They will say they did the recall and want to "investigate" again. Just further kicks the can. Luckily, I have a warranty until 99,950 miles. So Im good with it.

    Nothing that I have noticed. Seems pretty on par IMHO. Granted this is going off the DIC as I stopped hand jamming the numbers a while ago cause I stopped caring lol. I saw more MPG drop from switching from 91 Oct no ethy to 93 Oct with. LOL

    I already changed mine out to the 0W40 oil. I was due an oil change when all this started.

    Guess the recall against my truck was updated and now can be taken in. I think I'll wait a month or so since I just changed my oil. Might as well get my monies worth out of it lol.

    Too bad the updated recall doesnt mention extending the warranty.

    At this point, I would rather them just give me a 10yr 150K mi warranty and send me on my way with the 0W40 oil. As for worrying if it will die, she's gonna go or she's gonna blow. Why sweat it every day.

    Do the 6.2Ls in the Camaros use the same bearings as the trucks?

    Yeah I saw the gmdexos website. But when reading the bottles they don’t even mention dexos or have the emblem. I thought the Supercar said it. My bad, maybe it doesn’t. It does have the dexosR emblem on it though.

    According to that 0W40 oil you listed, it's not Dexos R certified. No where on the bottle does it state or mention it. The only one that does that I have found is Mobil 1 Supercar. I found some local on sale for $8.99qt. Still more expensive than the Pennzoil Platinum 0W20 I was using.

    I have thought about that also. However, could they really? I mean they issued the recall for the vehicles on the dealers lots. Can they really tell us they wont cover the engine at that point?

    I am due for an oil change, I wonder if I should just swap out the 0W20 I recently bought for the 0W40 and go on from there.

    Glad you posted that 0000 was for all of us and 0001 was just for dealers. I tried to get answers from two dealerships today and they said they dont know what to tell me lol. They see the recall but say there is no remedy for it. I said It says at the bottom to inspect then change the oil. They stated again it says at the top no remedy so there is nothing they can do.

    I put KO3's on mine and they ride great. Better in the rain that the stock GY tires were. No noticeable drop in MPG either.

    I have E rated KO3's on mine and run them at 35psi. Chalk test says it's good at that. Rides great IMHO. Tires are def better than the garbage GY that came on it.

    What does the recall address other than the radio?

    Others on the ZR2 specific forums have said they have had issues with the new update. Glad I waited on getting it.

    Mine seems to work just fine for reading me messages and me telling it what to do.

    From factory yes, but that makes it stock for the ZR2.
