  1. 2.7T is the new base engine for the RST. But...like the LT TB 2.7....pretty much any option requires the 5.3 or up...at least on their configurator at time of this post I get that it's the base engine...cant even get the all star package. But a regular LT can be well optioned with the 2.7T. What's up with that??
  2. Cool! I did not know about the BD lightbar being able to fit in the RC grille location. You can directly tap them, or use the fuse to trigger a relay, and power the lights with the battery. I just directly tapped the fuse. The backlights don't use much power.
  3. I heard Ford quit doing the rear button on many trim levels couple of years ago. Data showed they were not getting used that often. Cost cutting. My guess is that GM did the same, for the same reason.
  4. I wonder if the BD and RC have the same mounting points? Fuse 40 in the underhood fuse box. Misc ignition. Not exactly the location you're after, but will work. I do not know if they will be on with remote start. I tried it a while ago but dont remember the results. Went back to my original wiring setup. I have most of my accessory lighting on the parking light circuit, which is used during remote start. I also have some LED's that I want on all the time on fuse 4. Fuse 4 has power more often than fuse 40. I also have the RC grille lights, and many others installed. The description says it's a flood beam pattern. I too expected them to be more. Chalk it up to their good marketing I guess. They are hooked to a relay, triggered by the hi-beam fuse.
  5. Still curious if those plastic pieces can be removed. Can't find a parts list/diagram of the refreshed sierra's online.
  6. My 2.7 has the defrost on full blast using remote starts regardless of where my fan knob is. I think it's normal for the defroster to be on below about 45-50 degrees F. Fan speed seems to vary with outdoor temps. Ive had it be almost off when the cab temp is about 65 in spring/fall. The A/C will kick on in if cab temp is above a certain number. Dont know what that is though.
  7. I had this a few times last year/get this message if I do not put the truck (2.7T) in my garage on very cold nights. It seems to operate just how the 8 cyl description says. Just raises the shift points some for a short time.
  8. Mine does this too. Even at 60, it is not guaranteed to be in 8th. I'll bump up to 61, then drop it back to 60 and it will shift to 8th. If I drop it down to about 56, it will go to 7th. Maybe the RPM would too low to be useful in 8th at 55?
  9. Yes, correct. I searched again yesterday using different words and found Harness Doctor also. I will give him a PM!
  10. Looks like those are pre-refresh only. I dont know of a true "kit" as of yet for the refresh trucks. I would imagine they're in the works though.
  11. Are the plastic pieces removable circled in red? I would think Diode dynamics SS3 similar from another brand would fit there. I would bet DD has a kit for that area in the works. Diode dynamics SSC1 might fit in the factory fogs location.
  12. Paint matched my 2020 fogs lights, and pod light bezels Cajun Red. Painting the remaining 2 pods, and bowtie soon. Outer bezels of the pod lights are getting redone. Those were brushed on a few months ago, and realize now they look bad with the new paint!
  13. Was the link above the correct pins/terminals? I want to run a few wires for accessory lighting through the door harnesses instead of just through the boot and over the harness.
  14. I looked at the earlier also. The map looks good. It says on the bottom it's only an approximation though.
  15. What power level did you go with? The sport version can use a PWM module from Diode Dynamics to be dimmer on low beams, and full power on hi-beams. You'll most likely need the boost auto parts fog light mod.
  16. Plenty of areas of no service on the FS roads I frequent. Neighbor must be in a good spot.
  17. Huron National Forest where i'm at says otherwise about finding areas without cell coverage
  18. Data is provided by AT&T cell towers for wi-fi. No AT&T service = no wifi. Key fob remote start works for me. No need for the subscription.
  19. I have the Diode Dynamics kit waiting to be installed in my garage. I will be putting a PWM module on the SS3 sport model. To have an OEM brightness on low beams, and full brightness on high beams. Then i'll have the SS3 max laser taking the ditch lighting where the SS3 sports currently reside.
  20. My 2020 2.7 did the same when it was very cold out also. Not doing it anymore though.
  21. Does anyone know what terminals are used for the door harness connectors? I found the GM upfitter manual, but it doesnt give part numbers. Just the general description. I could find Delphi metri-pack that look similar. But i've already purchased the incorrect terminals once....
  22. These are the LED strips many of the builders use. The trick is probably getting the slot uniform across all 4 handles....some type of jig to hold them and run them by a dremel? I am assuming the slot is filled with clear acrylic and sanded down/polished. https://www.morimotohid.com/profile-pivot-switchback-strips?quantity=1 Putting an LED on the inside of the exterior handle would be simple. Drill a small hole for LED and put this in: https://www.amazon.com/EDGELEC-LED-Emitting-Multicolor-Automatically/dp/B07PXYYTY4/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=RGB%2BLED%2B5mm&qid=1673295236&sr=8-13&th=1 with this retainer: https://www.amazon.com/Honbay-Pieces-Plastic-Mounting-Holders/dp/B01LX8JVG7/ref=pd_bxgy_img_sccl_1/138-3583625-9289345?pd_rd_w=QVFJ3&content-id=amzn1.sym.7f0cf323-50c6-49e3-b3f9-63546bb79c92&pf_rd_p=7f0cf323-50c6-49e3-b3f9-63546bb79c92&pf_rd_r=YHC9HQGD9BVFD5H12A3T&pd_rd_wg=jJnsq&pd_rd_r=e4fe0471-c979-490e-a491-dbc6d1a4917c&pd_rd_i=B01LX8JVG7&psc=1 The wiring is simple. For static lighting, T-tap into the lights of the window switches. For turn signals, T-tap to BCM turn signal wire and run thru the door connector (not easy, but doable if you're careful/patient). Maybe there is more to it than what I have posted??
  23. My tester showed 0V when I tried that fuse. The truck was on too. I think this one needs a BCM command to get power.
