  1. I dont get it. The old ‘ Action unavailable while indexing’ has been going on since like 2019 or something!! They havent figured out how to remedy this yet??? My 2021 silverado has done this from the get go. My theory is it cant handle the size of your music library in your phone/ipod. It never does finish indexing. If they wanted to fix it, they would have done it by now, theres these guys called ‘ programmers’ who fix stuff like this every day. They would have fixed the issue when it first happened, then released an update and everybody would be happy. Instead they just keep releasing the same glitch year after year till they finally stop buying their stereos from the same miscreants this build these. FIX THIS ALREADY!
  2. Bulletin No.: 21-NA-089 issued March 23 2023 states that a sh!tty caliper design allows dirt and debris to get in there and cause early pad wear. They say there is a revamped version available with a mud shield of sorts. They also say its the customers problem to pay for it. And the caliper itself runs for close to $600! EACH! Screw these guys! I have the ‘YOU REPLACED PARTS DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE ALERT SCREEN’ thing going on now, even though the brake monitor screen says 60 70 wear left. Ive got 39,000 on the 2021 Silverado RST so I decided to check it out and the rear pads are indeed quite low. So I guess the YOU REPLACED PARTS DO YOU WANT TO RESET thing is actually your pad wear indicator, not the screen with percentages on it, cus thats full of ******. THIS SHOULD BE A PAID FOR RECALL!
  3. Sept 2021, and this 401 error code shows up when hitting the apps button. Lame.
  4. Sad part is this thread starts in 2019! I have a 2021 that has had the infotainment freeze up on a few occasions. A few times in 20 months isnt a huge dealbreaker, but IT HAPPENS AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME. I’m not talking just the radio, but the GPS maps freezing up. A convoluted highway ramp exchange coming up and FREEZE. The only remedy is pulling over, shutting off the truck, and waiting for it to TIME OUT before restarting and hoping it fixes itself. So far it has, but… what a nuisance. You would have thought they could have fixed this stuff already!! INFOTAINMENT is $#!t.
  5. My wi fi hotspot sometimes comes up with a no internet signal on occasion, and I have a 2021! Its not a lack of signal availability in the area, its just WONT CONNECT TO WI FI. Its a bug!! If you shut off the truck and wait ten minutes, it magically starts working again. I had this happen four or five times. Your issue was in 2017!! You would think four years later they would have fixed this.
  6. Would be nice if there was a computer flash, or some gizmo, that could disable the timeout. The diagnostic mode keeps the dash lights on, ruining it for my purposes ' THE DRIVE IN MOVIE'. And even the diagnostic mode times out within the hour. Let me choose whether to drain my battery or not.
  7. Another of those “ WHYYY??” questions I have with this truck. You should be able to turn the radio off and have it stay off till you want it back on. I should also be able to turn the thing on ACCESSORY MODE and have it stay on till I turn it off and not TIME OUT after ten minutes. The DRIVE IN movie feature! If I want to drain my battery…let me! ( I know you can put it in diagnostic mode and have an hour time out, but that leaves all the dash lights on). Makes me wonder what rocket scientist they have designing these stupid features we dont want.
  8. My 2021 5.3 with 7000 miles did this to me today. Tried four times. Sounded like an electric machine gun until I buttoned it back off. Let it sit a few minutes and it fired up like there was nothing wrong. Hasn’t done it since, but now my confidence level is out the window. What if it works a while and then strands me in the middle of nowhere by some fishing lake? Totally blows. Any updates?
  9. My 2021 5.3 Silverado RST has it on the invoice, but I have no clue when its doing anything. No change in sound or performance. I would assume it would throw a code if it wasn’t working. My 400 mile trip gizmo tells me I average 16.1 mpg, which is four mpg better than my 89 ford bronco with its V8. That’s 32 years of performance advancements for ya!
