  1. Thank you for the responses. Backstory... a buddy lost one of his fobs and cost close to $300 to get a new one and have it programmed at a locksmith. I wanted to get a 3rd so I'd have a backup. Thanks again!
  2. Hi, Has anyone added a 3rd key fob using the on-line suggestions of using your key in the door and putting the fob in the remote pocket in the console on a 2500HD or 3500HD? I've seen where this is supposed to work for Silverado trucks built up to 2020 but I've also seen where the HDs don't work using this method and you need to go to a dealer or locksmith. Thanks, Shimmy.
  3. Thank you for the responses. This gives me some great information.
  4. I've been a big fan of Michelin tires in the past but the LTX A/T's that are on my 2020 2500HD are a bit disappointing. I've done some towing with a 8k pound trailer, a bunch of highway, and the rest of local driving and at 28,000 miles, these tires are looking that they need to be replaced. Can you suggest a mostly highway tire that can get me 40,000 miles?? I'm looking for an all season tire that is acceptable in snow, but that's not my major concern. I'm running the stock 275-70-18's Thanks in advance.
  5. Just got my recall notice in the mail. I also checked the infotainment system and the recall was shown there. My appointment is scheduled for next week. We'll see........
  6. Just came back from a pretty long trip. Traveled 5,200 miles from the east coast to northern Idaho and back pulling a 8,000 lb cargo trailer (shaped like a brick). 2020 Chevy 2500hd. DEF usage was about 430 mile per gallon of DEF with a fuel burn between 12 and 13 MPG. We were on the interstate traveling ~70 for most of the time; keeping up with traffic.
  7. I tried using the antenna from my 2002 truck that is around 6" longer with no real change in reception. The 02 truck has no problems pulling in the same signals/stations that the 2020 has problems with.
  8. Thanks, a replacement antenna is a pretty inexpensive test. I'll report back
  9. I live about 25 miles from a major metropolitan area and all other radios either in a car, battery operated, or stereo have no problems picking up strong radio signals. In my 2020 Silverado HD with the Bose audio system I have poor reception of stations I typically listen to. Using the HD Radio seems to be worse where the station will cut out for 10 or more seconds, the alternate selections for HD Radio won't come in at all. Turning off the HD Radio function seems to help a little bit but I'll still loose the signal for 5 seconds or more. I've never had this problem with other car radios traveling near my home but this truck drops the stations regularly. Has anyone else noticed this, if so, is there a fix? Thinking a new antenna may help but wanted to see if there was anyone else with this issue. Thanks, Shimmy
  10. I've gotten lots of compliments on the color. The most common is that they've never seen this color before. When I told my family I wanted a brown truck, they all said 'that's an old mans' color' Now that they've seen it, they all think it is great.
  11. My 2020 Chevy 2500HD LTZ stickered for 68,120 and I got the price down to 61,800 without any rebates. Tax and fees on top of that.
