  1. It just happened to me this morning which is the third time it has happened. The first at 123 miles, the second at around 2,035 miles and now at 2,175. Two of them were at my driveway in the morning when leaving to work. The other at the grocery store which was embarrassing after some people kept looking at us while the truck cranked endlessly with no start. Reading the latest posts tells me that GM still has no clue on what is causing this and there is no fix. Very disappointing.
  2. After almost ordering a canvas soft rollup tonneau cover, I decided to order a Gator vinyl soft rollup cover. The canvas one is mounted on the side of the rails and that makes the multipro grab handle inoperable forcing me to pick a cover that mounts on top of the side rails. So far I like it and it was a simple and fast installation. The quality seems better than the Tyger brand I had on the Ram I traded in. Also, it flutters less in the wind.
  3. I also traded a '19 RAM Classic Bighorn 4x4. The only reason I traded it was the insane trade in value they gave me. I made over $7,000 from what I paid for it even after almost two years of use. Couldn't refuse it. It was a great truck with absolutely no issues but it was a gas guzzler. I now have a '21 AT4 Duramax and I love it. Drives smooth and great gas mileage. The Satin Steel Metallic color is beautiful. The only hiccup so far is one incident on "crank no start" at 123 miles. Fired up immediately after the second try. So far the only mods are running boards and Gator soft rollup tonneau cover. Next I will upgrade the audio system. Will start with the speakers first. Beautiful Denali by the way!
  4. Seems like all three engines have their Achilles heel. When I was researching GMC Sierras, I mostly concentrated on the 3.0 duramax and I almost didn't buy the truck based on what I was seeing. Right now I have a little over 400 miles driven since new. Knock on wood nothing major happens. I already had one crank no start incident at 123 miles. Hope your trucks get back on the road soon! I love my AT4. It drives nice and smooth and you can't deny Sierras are the best looking trucks out there.
  5. Today, I installed a set of running boards I ordered through Realtruck. I had the same Steelcraft on my previous truck. On the AT4 the installation was easier than the Ram Classic I traded. I like it that it came with 4 brackets for each side. I don't notice any flex on them. I think they look great and are tucked in. The way I like them.
  6. The reason was that I was going on vacation and since I had placed a deposit and they required me to take delivery within 48 hours of the truck arriving at the dealer, they recommended I complete the transaction before I left that way the truck was mine. I got a call from the dealer today that it had arrived. It is sitting on my driveway.
  7. I am planning on asking GM to pay the first payment if I don't have the truck soon. I never planned on installing the A/C on the Wrangler since most of the time I drove with just the top on, safari style. Also I'm retiring (early retirement at 51-52) in a year or so and we are moving to our mountain house. No need for A/C there. Just heat.
  8. And congratulations by the way!
  9. I bought my '21 AT4 Duramax on July 3rd. It was supposed to arrive that same day but I'm still waiting. I chatted with GM today and they have no clue when the truck will arrive. Same story with the dealer. I'm not happy since I'm driving my wife's car to work and she is unable to do errands. My other car, a Wrangler YJ runs great but it has no A/C so it is out of the question because it is too hot in Hell Paso TX. Hopefully I'll get the truck soon. I suspect I will be making my first payment without a truck.
  10. I reached out to GMC through chat and they told me the truck is still sitting at the train yard after being offloaded from the train. They couldn't give me an ETA for transport to the dealer. The wait sucks!!!
  11. Hello! I purchased a 2021 Sierra 1500 AT4 Duramax last Saturday while the truck was still in transit. I had to scoop it before it got the dealer since most trucks are selling before they arrive. Today is Friday and the truck still hasn't shown up at the dealer. It had an estimated ETA of July 3rd. The latest update shows as being delayed at the train yard in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Anyone has had the same thing happened to them?
