  1. Up .30 + overnight, $3.40ish now
  2. I saw a few of those down in FLA, I don't get it, it looks ridiculous.
  3. Yeah still going up slowly here.
  4. It may have 2 radio fuses, 1 for the memory and 1 for power
  5. Unusual to lose 3&4 in a 700, usually it's pump problems, possibly repairable without a rebuild
  6. you can lead a horse..... turn the regulator all the way open or eliminate it for filling tires or using alr tools. Regulated pressure is useful for spray painting and some nail guns. Most automotive tools work best around 180 psi even though the directions say 135. Commercial compressors do not have built in regulators, they shut off at the pressure set by the switch and kick back on when the pressure falls to the pressure set in the same switch. The regulator not only reduces the pressure but reduces the volume as well
  7. the problem seems to be with the crimp failing so you can cut the crimp off and use a/c type hose clamps. I don't know if the replacements are any better than the factory, I went through 3 sets of GM replacement lines on my 98 before I got rid of it. Driving the hi-way assistance truck I have seen many Chev Traverse/ GMC Envoy on the side of the road with a trail of oil and a big puddle under them from the lines coming apart
  8. How are you planning on replacing it?
  9. Up 4 cents on the hiway to $3.12
  10. There are 2 types and I don't know which they use, 1 type uses a sheet metal cage , the other is just the nut tak welded to the tube so if you can't move the bolt up and down it probably has the sheet metal cage and whacking it with a hammer before cutting it may break the cage free so that it will come out with out too much trouble
  11. You may have to chisel the cage loose but unless you can get in there with a wrench or vice grips cutting the bolt is probably the best option. You could cut a window to access the nut also
  12. Check to see if the whole rack is moving when you turn the steering wheel. If the play is internal then the bearing for the pinion is more than likely gone and it's time for a replacement rack assembly, Taking for granted you have already checked the tie rods , ball joints etc
  13. Same here
  14. Phew! that's expensive!
  15. Up again, $3.03 local $3.09 on the hiway. I saw $3.99 close to Boston. AAA says state average $3.35, news says it will keep going up through the summer, speculated that it may get over $5
  16. CAUTION!!!! ANY YELLOW WIRING OR CONNECTOR is air bag related. Mess with it and risk accidental discharge. Get a service manual and follow it to the letter before fooling with it
  17. Check out the utube video for the bad ground behind the power steering pump. Not positive it will cure your problem but it fixed the same problem on my friends truck that was driving him nuts. 10 minutes and a couple wire connectors fixed it. I dug the black wire out of the harness ,cut it and spliced in a ground to the firewall. Welcome to the FORUM
  18. What engine is on it? The Amsoil should be fine, it's not likely to be out in warm temps that would require the 10w30. Some air cooled engines use a splash oiling system and require non detergent to keep the foaming down but where the recommended is a synthetic the viscosity shouldn't be a problem
  19. Same here but we don't have 88
  20. I bet those are glued on. Very few badges use the old speed nut mountings these days. Heck, they use glue now instead of welding to put the vehicles together.
  21. With the projector type headlights if a car approaches on a slight incline the lights shine right in our eyes, not so much with the regular halogens. I was reading in the AAA newsletter that the automakers are aware of the problem and that in Europe they have a self leveling system to fix the problem but here in the USA the regulators will not approve the system for use in this country.
  22. Welcome to the forum! With that amount of miles on it it is due for a complete rebuild. Could be excess bearing clearances causing the low OP. Might be more economical to look for a parts truck than an engine or try LKQ yard if there is 1 in your area
  23. Going Up- $2.99 local now, $3.06 on the highway
