  1. Welcome to the Forum! Always post the code definitions along with the codes. there are over 18000 possible codes, no one remembers them all and most will skip over your post rather than look them up
  2. Mobil up another dime this am , $3.89, others will probably go up later. Any ideas on the reason for the increase other than greed? I've been working 14 hour days and haven't caught the news in a few days.
  3. Gas on the hi-way followed Mobil's lead and went up a dime to $3.79, Sunoco was still $3.69 though. The truck stop went up twice today, first a dime then a nickel. Diesel $5.35 at Sunoco but $5.79 next door at Gulf
  4. Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
  5. U joints? Transmission mount? 2wd or 4wd? If 4 it could be a transfer case problem. Welcome to the Forum!
  6. Looks like it's riveted to me. What is wrong with that 1? Welcome to the Forum!
  7. Mobil on the hi-way went up a dime this afternoon, now $3.79, surrounding stations no change yet still $3.60s, Lowest price local still $3.87 and up
  8. I get it, I put GMA on at 4 when I'm getting up, they always lead off with a tantalizing story so I watch for about 12 minutes til the weather comes on and head for the shower so I'm not late for work, by the time I'm getting dressed the locals news is coming on and I never get to see what I was interested in. This am it was buried gold discovered somewhere
  9. that's where the ABS module is so it could have been any of the 5 lines that was leaking,
  10. $3.45 is now $3.69, paid $3.57 down the street from them. Hi-way is $3.60s,
  11. The timing marks are ok, that is #1, you can turn it over until they line up and it won't change anything, the crankshaft turns twice for every camshaft revolution, I have always set up SB Chevs as your pic shows using a straight edge
  12. I saw $3.45 just off the hi-way(I-95) at a Sunoco, top-tier 87
  13. Your scan tool should say if knock detected, I ran my 98 K2500 for years with the knock sensor wire broken (notoriously in the way when changing the starter) with no I'll affects, didn't even set the CEL but that was OBDII
  14. Prices on the hi-way are falling daily, $3.66- $3.71, Local has yet to drop, actually some are still going up, $3.87 and up
  15. Is it time to put a piece of tape over the CEL?
  16. Did the dipstick itself break or did the tube it slides into? The stick is easy, just measure the 2 broken pieces, the tube is trickier, install the new 1, change the oil adding the factory spec oil quantity and see where it shows on the stick. You may have to trim the tube with a tubing cutter to get the stick accurate.
  17. yo-yo prices on the hi-way the last couple days, Sunoco was $3.75, went down to $3.74 then up to $3.81, the twin Gulf stations ( 1 on both sides of the divided hi-way, same owner) was $3.84 and went to $3.89, Mobil went down a nickel, $3.89-$3.84 and dropped the plastic price a dime, to $3.89,truck stop went up a nickel to $3.85
  18. Question for you Grumpy, why is diesel so much more than gasoline? Seems to me that it may be slightly a little less refined than gas and it doesn't have 10% alcohol which presumably lowers the price of gas
  19. Diesel $5.42 at the truck stop on the hi-way
  20. $3.75 and up, cash on the hi-way, local lowest I could find was $3.83
  21. Next time you're on a road trip to a state where you can still buy it stock up on 12oz cans, you might look into getting certified so you can buy it where you are as well. When they switched from R12 to R134a the test for certification was easy, they basically just wanted the $25
  22. On vacation up in NH,Maine White mountains area, $3.99 seems to be a popular price, I did find an independent place with Top Tier 87 at $3.79
  23. Inching up again here, places that were $3.59 are back up to $3.79
  24. Same here Grumpy
