  1. Good news….after the truck being in the shop for almost four weeks and not being able to find a valve body, the service manager called to advise that he has found a transmission, should be in this week. Starting to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
  2. My service manager said that GM will only pay a set amount and it is low. Anything over that would be my responsibility.
  3. But happening while in the shop…..
  4. Update: I decided for the preventative maintenance based on the dealership recommendation and recommendation of users here. It did not go well. Put the truck in the shop three weeks ago. Dealership did the maintenance and buttoned everything up. Then it would not go into reverse. Was determined that the reverse solenoid had went out in the transmission valve body. Valve bodies are on back order. Reading other posts on here it will probably take three replacements and failures, then a new transmission to fix. Looking at three to four months. Thinking should have never broken into a sealed system.
  5. What year/model?
  6. What obligation does the dealer have to provide a comparable loaner vehicle while yours is in for these repairs?
  7. Take a look at this thread, Your issue sounds a lot like a valve body issue. Mine went out after transmission service. No indication of problems before the service.
  8. Reading the above posts is not making me feel good. Have a ‘22 Sierra Limited, 6.2 10 speed, 50k miles. At the recommended of the dealer and users here I took it in for routine transmission service (fluid and filter). They finished and it would not go into reverse. Diagnostic says bad solenoid in the valve body. They trying to find a replacement valve body but so far no luck. Has been a week. What is irritating is that I was not having any problems. Take it in for preventative maintenance, not required maintenance, and it breaks.
  9. Has anyone tried the WeatherTech TechCare FloorLiner and FloorMat Cleaner/Protector products? They say they are non-slip.
  10. Looking for a non-slip cleaner/conditioner for use on running boards and floor mats. I have asked this before but cannot find the thread now. Any product suggestions?
  11. Update: phone is now automatically connecting to the onboard Wi-Fi. Appears that the latest Apple update, 17.4, had something hidden in it that solved my problem. Thanks to all for the advise/help.
  12. My ‘22 Sierra Limited did that a couple of times. Had the truck in the dealer for some routine maintenance and they advise they had an update for the cameras which they installed (had not told the service people about it braking). Truck has not done it since. No idea what the update was about.
  13. Mine does that. Noticed it happening when going towards the sun. More often when going up hill. Apparently the sun aligns with the lane keeping cameras and the distance sensors causing them to shut down. Seems to reset in about 3 minutes.
  14. Thanks for the responses and I agree that regular service is a good idea. But, still wondering what is GMs recommendation for normal, not severe, use.
  15. Follow up on post above from March 23, 2023. Dealer replaced the SD card and problem went away. From some other posts the dealer had to replace the card reader to get the problem to go away. Basically the problem centers around the SD card.
  16. What is the regular service schedule for an automatic transmission? Have checked my owners manual and found the schedule for the transfer case (change transfer case fluid at 90k, if severe use then at 45k) but cannot find anything on the automatic transmission. Dealer is saying I am due for trans service at a cost of about $500. ‘22 Sierra Limited, 6.2 with 10 speed and 4WD. Update: found it for severe use, same as transfer case, every 45k. But still do not see any service requirement for normal use maintenance.
  17. Update: have tried everything I can think of. Solicited advice from other GM forums and Apple support. Nothing worked. So guess it is something I will just live with.
  18. I was getting that message. Took it to dealer and they said it was a bad card. They ordered a new card, installed it a week later and all is okay. Done under warranty. My understanding is that the card is coded to your vehicle so cannot be copied or used in another vehicle.
  19. iPhone 15 Pro Max and 15 Plus. (See first post)
  20. I updated to iOS 15.2.1 and thought we had a fix. First time in the car it auto connected like it should. But since then it has failed to auto connect again. Open to any additional suggestions.
  21. I am currently on iOS 17.2 so should be okay there.
  22. Bluetooth works perfectly, even the onboard Wi-Fi when I tell the phone that it is there. Only issue is it is not logging to the onboard Wi-Fi automatically.
  23. Yes, tried that.
  24. My iPhone 15 Pro Max will not auto connect with the onboard Wi-Fi on my ‘22 GMC Sierra Limited. When I get in I have to manually select the onboard Wi-Fi, apparently the password is stored so it hooks right up. Just won’t do it automatically. Auto connect is turned on. Wife’s 15 Plus will sometimes hook up automatically but not always. Settings on both phones are the same. What setting am I missing? (also asked on Apple support forum)
  25. On the phone charging issue there is a known issue with iPhones running IOS 17.1 and later not charging in GM vehicles. (17.1.1 and 17.1.2 did not solve the issue). Hopefully there will be a fix in 17.2.
