  1. Anyone have intermittent issues with the heated seat backlight failing to illuminate at night and then 20 minutes or so later it will illuminate? All other dash lights are illuminated. The three red heater levels work fine when pushed but just my driver heated seat button backlight has this issue.
  2. Wow mine is not as bad as that video. That sounds pretty constant. Mine comes from impacts of the road. As the plastic pieces of the trim and and screen flex from impact, I get squeaks. I’m not sure there is a fix as you can just touch these parts and it squeaks.
  3. Good point. I knew it was electric but didn’t think that all the way through.
  4. I have a 2023 Silverado RST and have what I believe to be a power steering groan on initial take off. It only does it in my initial takeoff and only when the outside temperature is a bit cooler, say under 50 degrees. It didn’t do it all summer and now is doing it every morning. Anybody else experience this?
  5. I’ve read many posts about the plastic trim between the screen and HVAC controls (the one with the ugly wood trim piece on top) squeaking. Mine does as temperatures change or as bumps move it slightly. I’ve had it off twice to try to fix it but it’s literally two pieces of plastic riveted together. I don’t see a way to fix it. I wrapped the HVAC control panel edges in electrical tape but that isn’t the problem. I can just push on that wood trim piece and hear the squeaks. I know others have this. Anyone found a fix? I even looked for an aftermaket piece like with carbon fiber or such and they do exist… however, are covers that you tape to the existing trim piece. That’s probably just something else that would squeak!
  6. Any luck Bikerjon?
  7. Truck is back at the shop now. Initial test drive by technician reports normal operation. There is definitely a hesitation at low throttle. I have a feeling I’m going to be sent home disappointed again.
  8. Someone in warranty claims is doing their job. I tried to tell my dealer that the only report I’ve seen of resolution are injectors and they just laughed at the “social media mechanics”. I stated, no these are owners of your vehicles that know when it’s fixed and what did it.
  9. My dealer must have found the last one with TCC slip however it did not fix what I’m feeling. The only person who I’ve come across that said it fixed was those who replaced injectors. GM does not appear to offer that as a solution.
  10. Dealer told me the TC had more slippage then specd and replaced the TC. It did nothing, as I still have the rumble and even hesitation while shifting gears at low throttle.
  11. Has anyone ever contacted the customer service and actually had a good result?
  12. I got my truck back tonight after torque converter change. I only have a few miles on it but it feels the same. Tech wrote on RO that prior to TC change there was too mush slippage on TC lockup and that shudder is gone and some hesitation is normal due to DFM and 10 speed tranny normal operation.
  13. 2023 Silverado RST with 5.3L 10 speed
  14. I’ve been researching this topic recently as i have a low throttle shudder that becomes almost a stutter in low gear shifts. Most posts report dealers replacing torque converters, transmissions and injectors. I’ve read mixed opinions about all them. Currently my 5.3L 10speed is at dealer awaiting torque converter.
  15. Anyone else have injectors be the cure? I have same issues. Dealer just ordered a new torque converter. Doesn’t sound like that’s the fix for anybody.
  16. What this guy said. You’ll need a micro 3 prong tap which is on Amazon for a couple bucks. You likely won’t find it in auto parts stores. Run wire across liner and down right pillar into fuse box on end of dash. I think it’s fuse 32 is a a retained accessory power fuse. Pull fuse, insert fuses into tap and then insert tap back into original fuse slot. The tap likely will need to be shaved with a utility knife to fit. Don’t know why but it doesn’t fit otherwise. Just scrape off some of the black plastic on each end. There is a ground bolt right behind the fuse box. I had to remove the big blue power plug to get the bolt out and back in. It’s quite long.
  17. I took my Spring Thing back out. I noticed a rougher ride in my 2023, especially at highway speed. There was a constant rumble you could feel in the wheel and seat. Took them back out and it's back to smooth. I'll put up with the small noise on turning from the springs than the constant rough ride.
  18. Found my error. First truck for me. Lifting from axle doesn’t unload suspension on a leaf truck! Rather easy to separate springs once you lift from frame and actually unload them.
  19. I have a 2023 RST and tried this last night. I could not get the springs to separate. I had lifted the rear using a block of wood under differential and then jack stands on frame with tires up. Was your's easy to separate?
  20. For anyone wondering the same question I had, I ended up getting a fuse tap that I could only find on Amazon as no auto parts store sold a mini3 use tap. I used the fuse box in passenger side of dash and tapped fuse F26 I believe it was. It was an ignition switched circuit for usb charge or something. Used the 5 amp fuse that came with the tap and reused the 10 amp fuse that was there. Ran the line across the headliner and down the a pillar. There is a bolt behind the fuse box that is a good ground.
  21. May I ask what wires you guys tapped. I just bought the Gentex auto dim mirror with Homelink. I had manual dim mirror. My truck is a 2023 RST. I have some wires up under the mirror covers as well as access to the overhead console. I think the overhead power stays hot though, I’d prefer something on ignition.
  22. I believe I have the new dash. I have a 2023 RST. Do you think the harness, although the exact size, is actually configured differently and that's why my used part from a 2019 didn't work? If that is true, then I would imagine a console with homelink from a 2023 or a 2022 refresh would work?
  23. Did you ever find out what part to get to add on a 2023?
  24. I know this thread is older but I’d like to ask a question and include information from this thread. I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 without the convenience II package so no Homelink. I’ve been trying to add it. I did pickup a console that had sunroof, slider, and Homelink from a salvage yard. It had the exact same two harness slots that came off my original factory one however when I plugged it in, nothing worked… no map lights, nothing. Went back to my original console and everything workedso the truck is fine. My question is should any of the consoles that are replacement fits work? Did I just get a bad salvage unit or does it matter which console I get? My replacement was part 84816404 which was advertised as fitting 2019-2022. I don’t know of a difference between 2022 and 2023. Any ideas here?
