  1. You would need to get the specific camera model for that year of vehicle. Check with the dealer to see what part number it is as this seems to be a common thing where the part number changes year to year with the year of the vehicle. Some may fit a range of trucks, but I had a similar issue and only until getting the correct model camera it had the same back screen.
  2. I ended up getting a GM one on eBay. There are usually several on there, just make sure of the right part number as they all look identical.
  3. My guess is you may have the incorrect camera model for the year of your vehicle. I hit this issue twice. Apparently between my 2022 truck and the 2024 I have now the supported camera version changed. I have since sold my trailer.
  4. Very nice. Yeah, I was thinking of 3D printing something and selling, it looks like this has that covered. This listing seems to have pretty much everything needed for getting you up and running.
  5. @stevenblomquist, yeah, I had the original kit too. After never getting the camera to work, I ended up cutting the cable and buying the kit to repair the end of the OEM cable on eBay, along with a specific crimper. I later found this forum post and realized that the camera I had did not work with the 2024 truck I have. I ended up purchasing the DIY cable from segmart and it worked great. I would say ditch the OEM cable and purchase a new one with the additional 15’. Purchase some flex conduit and it is almost the same as the one one. The only downside is the you would not have the housing that connect to the truck, but the cable will connect fine and I traveled almost 2000miles and it worked fine and never fell out. I also traveled through a hurricane on the way back to FL and had no issues with it.
  6. @stevenblomquist, did you already purchase a new cable as mentioned in the original post from Segmart? That seemed to work great for me and they can make it in custom lengths. I did not try connecting them end to end, but it may work or they may have an adapter. https://www.segemart.com/1651055116553?search=FKR-TV-F%2FS-FAKRA%2FA-F%2FRA i had also saw a post somewhere where the location of the camera connector can be moved from the hitch to inside the bed, not sure if that would help in your case or not. The calibration does take some time to complete and you have to do the instructions to a “T” for it to work. After that mine was fine. That said, I really did not even use the transparent mode that often, the backup view was enough.
  7. Happy to report I finally got this setup working. What and absolute pain, not the hack for the camera setup, just the setup in general. It seems like GM could have made this a bit easier and less error prone. So for me, here was the fix. Camera Not recognized: - Delete trailer profile - unplug 7 way and camera - wait about 2-5min - plug in the 7 way - plug in camera - close driver door and then start the truck - enter setup and trailer specs While this got the camera to show up, it was just black, no picture. This turned out to be due to the model of the camera. I did not realize that after buying the $650 camera setup that it would not work on a newer truck. I ended up ordering part number 85573256 for the camera. This was perfect for my 2024 AT4. Transparent trailer issues Even though the camera was detected and working now, the transparent trailer would not calibrate. It immediately went to “check owners manual” and that was it. After trying various angles, I finally set it and just kept driving. Eventually it finally started to calibrate. After a few min it completed. Not fully sure how helpful the view is, but I am happy to have it working, finally. Thanks to everyone here and the original poster.
  8. Thanks for the reply @JP642. Yeah, I went ahead and ordered two of the 85573256 cameras. I am hoping from @DmaxRum post above this will be correct. The truck I had initially was a 2022 AT4 and the camera kit did work, although I did not get to do much with it as we ended up taking a different vehicle for that trip. With this one being a 2024 AT4 it sounds like there were some significant changes in wiring? At any rate, I think I have the fix down for getting the camera connected and detected now with the door sequence. I just get the black screen or the blue hourglass when trying to see a picture.
  9. @RonnyR, is this something that you sell, ie… the camera sleeve and mount? I do not have a 3D printer, but would purchase this if you have an eBay link, etc… The only catch is I am needing it by this Friday. Thanks in advance. Andrew
  10. @Saloonwarrior, do you have any more information on where you found that certain camera will not work with the 2024? Maybe that is my issue too? Mine show connected and then disconnected after about a second.
  11. Hello, this is a long shot, but I am needing urgent help. I am headed on a trip and having a heck of a time with my rear trailer camera. I purchased the transparent camera system setup with the camera and cable about a year ago. Unfortunately I did not get to use it because we ended up taking a different vehicle that did not have the trailer package. Fast forward to this year and I am trying connect my 12’ cargo trailer and my 2024 Sierra AT4. Here is what happens, I connect the camera cable and then start the truck, the camera shows connected for about a half second then goes to disconnected. I have tried everything I can think of, and am assuming it may be software or something on the actual truck. - tried a new end on the camera cable, official end/repair kit - tried a new cable mentioned in the article here - tried a second camera (from the front grille of a 2021 Yukon - tried both the rear and the interior ports - tried removing the trailer profile, then re-adding - tried plugging the main 7 pin harness, then camer, then shut the driver door, then start the truck. All result in the same issue. I am going to call the dealer tomorrow, but am not sure they can get me in on short notice. Please help. thanks. Andrew EDIT: so, I want back through and deleted the trailer profile, removed the camera cable and harness, pulled the f11 fuse and reseated after 30 seconds. I reconnected the harness then camera and then shut the door and started the truck. Now I get the new trailer setup. I setup the trailer and the camera is showing connected now steadily. But… there is no picture, but the blue hour glass. Shouldn’t it show something or do I need to go through the calibration first? Thanks.
