  1. I had a 2022 gas truck that had the battery go down 7 months in from new, I'm in a another 22 diesel and it still has the original batteries.
  2. Mine does the same when cold, usually once and then it stops. The transmission in my truck hasn't been touched so I'm thinking it's normal. I had a 2019 f150 before this one and it would do the exact same thing.
  3. I agree with Pryme.
  4. Wow, that things huge. Thanks
  5. I've noticed mine running a bit rough when it's doing a regen, almost like the timing is slightly off and sometimes the idle rpm will jump up and down. It all goes away after it's done with the regen though.
  6. Seeing as my truck looks exactly like yours you could also use some spray on bedliner across the rockers and the lower 3" or so of the bottom of the body panels. The black is barely noticeable on that dark blue and works well to cover up the chips.
  7. I've had a set of Weathertech and Husky flaps on 2 different trucks, the Weathertech are longer and kept more dirt and chips off the truck than the Husky because of the length. Even with the Husky flaps I have now I still get dirt and mud flung up hitting under the drivers door and into the rear quarter panel just ahead of the bumper.
  8. I don't see many posts about changing or upgrading the media receiver/radio in these trucks. I have a 2022 Custom with the 7" receiver and really dislike how Google or Android Auto blocks incoming texts and the back up camera is nothing to get excited about either. Would an upgrade fix these issues? What about access to the vehicle settings that are done through the radio/screen?
  9. Copied this from Google The ECM detects that the voltage on the fuel economy mode switch signal wire is either too low or too high out of range. The P159F code is probably due to the low battery situation; it will be set on many recent GM models when voltage to the mode control switch (tour/sport/weather in the ATS) drops too low.
  10. Using Hotshot here as well, a little goes a long way.
  11. I went with basically the same thing with the diesel engine, a 22 Chev Custom 2500HD.
  12. You have to admit, this forum is not full of people complaining about emission repairs on these trucks. Or at least I haven't seen them if there is.
  13. I'm a bit new to diesels so can you fill me in? I know the DPF can clog but what about the other 2, especially the fuel pump?
  14. Do you know what parts are needed for the repair? I see Rockauto has lots of oil cooler seals and parts in stock and they are GM parts.
  15. That's why I'm asking if it's serious enough to take it out of service, there's millions of vehicles on the road with oil leaks of some form or another. If the truck goes down I'm out of business until it's fixed.
  16. I have the same leak and would like to know if it is just the leak that put your truck out of service? If I take mine in are they going to park it on me and leave me hanging with no vehicle?
  17. The last few trucks I had I tapped in to the reverse light wire on the round trailer plug and it worked fine, I see you said you didn't want to do that but it's the perfect place for it.
  18. The Weathertech mud flaps are better than Husky anyway because they are longer.
  19. I can't exactly answer your question other than to say I have one on mine and have not had any trouble with it at all, truth is I never considered the air flow to the hood scoop until now. Mine is the kind that mounts to the under side of the hood and has a high lip on it to deflect the air up, not the flush to the hood kind.
  20. Timbrens here too, takes some getting used to when empty but they're great when loaded down.
  21. The bulbs are H11 LED, Lasfit or Seaway seem to have a good name. Both high and low beam take the same bulb and are not too difficult to change.
  22. There is a whole write up somewhere in the mod section about the Lasfit lights, I did them as well and have had no problems and they are a huge improvement over stock. if you order them off Amazon you can put your vehicle info in and they will pick what fits.
  23. I undercoated my last truck and will do the one I have now mostly because I have little faith in the GM coating on the frame, every used truck I looked at that had been through a winter had lots of rust on the frame and the GM coating was pretty much gone. It rubs off anywhere it gets touched and even car washes removes it too easily leaving bare metal exposed.
