  1. Just discover with technology package equipped truck the rear view mirror can be switched to show rear camera view. watch from 11 minute mark
  2. I got a 6.2 LTZ Z71 on order and really dislike the location the Z71 will be at. They shortened the engine bay, then in that small space on the fender decided to cram a huge 3D emblem. I mean not into debadging, usually like the location of the Z71 DECAL on the back bed panel behind the wheel. Im just curious how it’ll look, and how odd it’ll be being the only person with the decal in that location. I also have have the dealer installing the 2 inch lift, black grille pieces, black handle, mirror covers, window trim, bumpers, and wheel(black 22s though). But essentially I’ll have a completely loaded down 6.2 LTZ that’s a trail boss. So also pondering the idea of just putting the trail boss decal back there, but feel like a fraud if I do that. I just love the look of the trail boss. I just ordered the the truck a couple days ago so I got time to ponder
  3. Man I’ve had the rc 2.5 level kit on my 2015 for over two years. Mine came with the top and bottom spacers for the front, and block in the back. The dealership hip has always known it’s there and been cool with it. Recently I’ve noticed some heavy squeaking upfront when in motion or turning the wheel. Took it in for service and they told me the control arm is causing it and that the level kit might be causing it. Said mine is unusual because it has the top and bottom spacers. essentially he indicated to me to get the top spaced off and bring it back, like he would take care of it. I’m guessing I got to do it, I like the stance but don’t feel like doing all that work, esp because I plan on getting rid of it when the 2019 comes out. should I just attempt another dealership? Or take the top spacer off, get it fixed and throw it back on? If I remove the top spacer I’ll need to put the original rear blocks on to make it sit level
  4. Man this thread has got a lot longer. Question, I did the RC level on my 2015 that came with the blocks for the back and spacers that went above the coil over and spacer below strut. To me thinking about the geometry of everything it was perfect. Fast forward to now, fixing to help a buddy do his ram. His assembly looks identical. Now rough country makes you compress the coil over and add the spacer there which seems a$$ backwards. Went to look at mine and also pull it up on their website. On the website they don't offer the same kit now. Is there a reason they changed it up? I'm sure y'all have spoken about it but there's 340+ pages in this thread now.
  5. Yeah there's no rubbing at all and from all these pages and doing the size comparisons from people who posted their set ups with different wheel sizes etc etc I found that 275/75R18 would be the max size. I was going to go with those but last minute decided to go with 275/70R18. For a ref you can got to the site in linking below and see what size compares to your wheel size. When people post what setup they have, as I'm sure you know, won't be the same when they have different wheel sizes. The site below make it VERY simple to figure it out. http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-comparison/
  6. I have the 5.3. I'll have to ride alittle but and get back with you. I just got them out on.
  7. I was curious about eBay having them. I found where you can get stick on cover for the bow tie on the wheel. Is that what you meant? I didn't see anything for the unsets.
  8. It took a little bit I'm not going to lie. I did make a templet that I moved from each wheel that blocked off a lot. I then just had to do the fine taping. Once I got the hang of it it wasn't bad. I also did it more than needed cause I would have to redo from it peeling. But again the key to it is heavy spray and peel when it's still wheel.
  9. Plasti dip. The front and back bow tie are easy. The wheels were kinda tough cause they wanted to keep peeling off with the tape. So what I did was tape them off, spray a real think coat and before it dries(like as soon as my finger leaves the spray can) peel the tape.
  10. Here's my truck the day I picked it up.
  11. Got the tires put on a few days ago. Tires are 275/70R18 Toyo Open Country M/T. I also have a RC 2.5 leveling kit, with the rear blocks that came with the kit installed(some people didn't use them).
  12. Sorry I haven't responded in awhile. We're you able to get it working Keeper? And if so then was there anything you'd like to add to the instructions? I know you mention the extensions plugging in to the bulb and was wondering if you had a solution. I'm about to go ahead and order mine too.
  13. Correct, there are three wires feeding the parking lamps, so one should be for the blinker function
  14. Hey keeper and LTZTom, since you might be getting to it before me here's what baking said when I asked him if turning on the blinker will trigger the DRLs. "It does not being your tied Into the parking light side of it not the blinker" I think what he's meaning is there are 3 wires going into the parking lights:1 pos, 1 neg, 1 signal wire that triggers it to blink when blinker is engaged. The power wire he tapped into only charges when the parking light feature is on. The blinking wire is strictly for the blinker. In case it can help
  15. I was going to go ahead and do the delete tomorrow but I just got home from vacation and my truck was at the dealership getting some stuff done while I was gone and they closed 45 minutes ago. So I have to wait till Monday to get it back!! Sucks I was going to go ahead and do it car keeper had me wondering about the blinker question. Baking said it doesn't make the DRLs come on tho:/ so far he's een right, just want to see. If the blinker somehow caused the DRLs to turn on I was thinking that you could find the positive from the light above the rear window and use it instead
  16. Sounds cool, I know baking said he used only one relay at first for both lights but it got alittle hot. So he ended up using one relay per headlight
  17. Keeper, I messaged him and he said no it does not turn the drls on with blinker. I'm guessing the parking light is the bottom set of Amber side markers, and the top pair of Amber side markers are the blinker set. I'm out of town or I'd of went outside and looked.
  18. I'm not sure, good question. I'll have to ask baking since his are already set up
  19. Yes but then the auto headlights won't work, and while you may not mind turning them on every time you go to drive at night so do like it(like myself). The solution created by baking lets everything function as normal except DRL. So auto headlights, and all controls by the knob operate as normal also. Your solution is a really good one tho, I might use it once I have HIDs as my front window is tinted. As of now the sensor hasn't been kicking my headlights on during the day like my last truck that had tinted front window.
  20. Ok here's 2 videos I made describing how baking did it. The first video is me telling why we would like to do the DRL Delete since there always seems to be people who post not understanding. Also say why we can't do it in other proposed ways, along with the last minute or so explaining in general how relays work. Second video gets into how the DRL delete is done with the relays. Sorry for making long videos(about 15 between the two), I just hate watching a video and having questions when it's done. So I try to cover everything best the first time so that it's settled and understood rather than leaving anything for the imagination. And also sorry they aren't great quality, did them sitting in my truck at sonic on a lunch break. First video Second video
  21. Thanks to Baking83 I got it figured out. My biggest hang up was relays in general. Never really got a feel for them. Tomorrow I'm going to try and make a video explaining it. I hate youtubing or googling how do relay work because they start trying to explain the coils etc etc, and I have a simple way of understanding it now. His set up is real easy and flawless, judging by the lack of excitement tho I feel like many others some how don't get it or feel comfortable with it. Maybe I'm wrong:/ but non the less I will try and get a video up tomorrow to help. Again all thanks to Baker tho, it's his fix
  22. Yep, saving up now for tire upgrade
