  1. I know I'm going to sound like a broken record, but I would love to see what would happen if the service department would remove the fuse for the "active noise reduction." I don't even know if it has a fuse, but it would be the fastest way to see if this headache feeling would go away. With two microphones in the vehicle trying to listen for road noise--and then the system actively trying to send out sound waves to "actively" offset/cancel the noise, this buffering sound could be a result of this new noise cancelation system. Worth a try before the service shop starts removing panels off the ceiling or side pillars. Just trying to offer up ideas before a $65-77k vehicle is torn apart looking for the needle in the haystack. I'm a 2009 Chevy Suburban LTZ owner who was waiting for the new body style. I won't buy until some of these issues get resolved.
  2. Has anyone asked any questions about the "active noise canceling" system these vehicles are using? As the vehicle attempts to put other sounds into the vehicle to offset tire, road, and wind noise, it can sound like an open window effect. I've heard that noise before when trying out active noise canceling headphones and when I saw this thread, the first thing I thought of was whether there was a way to shut off the active noise canceling system and see what that does to this sound. Just a thought.
