  1. sorry im just now seeing this, i had it soldered on for a little while but it didnt hold long and currently still doesnt work. the location is hard to get to and old solder gun on without burning a seat or something in the truck. did you find a fix for yours?
  2. I took the cloth off my seats on my 2020 chevy silverado and installed leather seat covers by roadwire. It was a pain in the a$$ but most of the pain was from trying to salvage the cloth only to sell them a year or 2 later for $100.
  3. i have a 2020 silverado with 57k miles, 5.3 V8, 8 speed transmission. A friend that has a tire shop in my town said to get the dealer to do a transimission flush, i had transmission flushed about a month ago and i think it has fixed the shudder/vibration.
  4. you can check with mvi and see about adding a module to install if you want to add a front camera like i did.
  5. there is a radio module under the dash on the passenger side if thats what you are referring to.
  6. I dont know if its the easiest but I got a module from MVI at Gm-navigation.com which ties into your trucks radio module under the passenger side dash and the camera connects to that. MVI sells cameras but I think I got my camera from ebay. The camera and module were fairly easy to install. I also added an option to the moudle where i can mirror my phone to the radio screen which is nice for watching the Braves when I am on the road.
  7. Sorry I didnt not comment on this, I am just now seeing this. Did you ever get a camera installed?
  8. Sorry just seeing this but I think it was around $500, it comes on like the factory rear camera, when you put in drive it comes on until you reach a certain speed, you can also turn it on anytime with the phone button on your steering wheel.
  9. I installed one on my 2020 silverado LT, i purchased a front camera from ebay I believe it was and a module that connects to the trucks radio module under the passenger side dash, I got the module from MVI navigation. With the module from MVI I went ahead and spent a few extra bucks to have phone mirroring added and now I can mirror my iphone on the radio screen and watch videos and stuff on the radio screen.
  10. I have 295/55R20's on my chevy oem 20's. I have a leveling kit but I think they'd be fine without the kit.
  11. I have a 2020 silverado with 45k miles and it was leaking a month ago, I looked quickly one day when i noticed a puddle on the driveway and didnt see any obvious leaks but a day later i went under and looked closer and it was due to the oil filter not being put on tight enough, i could turn it easily with my hand.
  12. did you have to cut and splice any wiring? find a wire diagram for your radio and see what color wire is for the door speakers then trace it down where you cut and spliced and make sure there is a good connection.
  13. I swapped out my cloth seat covers for leather seat covers myself in my 2020 silverado LT. My neighbor owned a truck accessories shop so he sold me a leather kit without having to get install by him which most I think make you use them to install. I got a roadwire kit which have been good kits in my last two trucks. I have heated seats and they still work after swapping out to leather. It wasnt very fun doing the install, I had a work truck that I could drive anywhere so I didnt have to rush to get the truck done in a day or anything. What I would do different would be to cut my cloth out instead of trying to salvage it because in the end it caused a lot of extra work and Id probably say the install was easy if I had done that. I ended up selling the cloth out of the truck for about $100 a year or so later so it wasnt really worth taking time to get that out. The other part that was a paint was the flip up console/center seat in the front. So if you have bucket seats this job will probably be even easier.
  14. I installed a front camera on my 2020 silverado LT. try mvi at gm-navigation.com
  15. good deal, nice feeling when you find out something you feel like is very bad turns out to be an easy fix lol
  16. are you sure the t taps broke through wire jacket and have good contact with the wiring for the signal wires?
  17. If you have trouble again, try resetting the network settings on the iphone. Mine did this for a little while and i wouldnt notice it until i had been driving a ways listening to music for awhile from the phone eating up data. Im honestly not sure if the network settings reset on the phone fixed it or not but it has started back autoconnecting.
  18. I like a clean tire look also, if you wash your truck and the tires are still a little dirty then the truck just doesnt look or feel clean. I like just a little shine but I cant find any that doesnt sling on the side of the truck, which I cant stand because then dirt sticks and my truck looks dirty not long after washing it. I just take a hard bristle scrub brush and scrub them down real good when I wash my truck to get the clean look. I use to work for the county (local gov't) years ago and they had some kind of foamy cleaner that gave the tire a clean look but didnt sling off and it went on real foamy but I cant for the life of me remember what it was called and it still bothers me this day because it was exactly what I need now.
  19. I have a 2020 silverado LT (if that matters) and when I am listening to the radio and recieve a phone call while I am jamming out I cant turn the volume down on the radio until after I answer the call which is annoying when a client for work or something is calling or anyone really and they hear it blaring in the background until i can get the volume to turn down. Does anyone know how to fix this problem other than letting the call go to voicemail and calling back?
  20. I have the kicker 10" subwoofer with the amp that has a box made to fit under the backseat of these trucks that I purchased through chevrolet accessories on their website and I also added a Kicker key amp 200.4 to run the door speakers. I have a non bose stereo in my 2020 Silverado. This setup sounds pretty durn good to me.
  21. The heat shields/dust sheilds could be bent inward and rubbing on your brake rotors. This may not be the case but its worth checking, When I installed my leveling kit on my 2020 Silverado I set the rotors on the ground when I had everything broke loose to get the struts out to install the kit, then when i put everything back together I heard a grinding noise when i was driving at low speeds and I thought for sure I had torn my truck up but I checked the sheilds and they had bent in where I sat the rotor on the ground and I believe i bent them back outward by hand but I may have used a screwdriver, they are just thin metal sheilds and anything could bend them pretty easy. I took the wheel off and just ran my hand around the rotor to find where it was contacting the rotor and causing the noise.
  22. what Niklasbraun said and if those checkout, is the amp one that has to be programmed or calibrated? i added a kicker key amp and had to play a certain sound through the radio to calibrate the sounds from speakers.
  23. sounds like the dust sheild around the rotor is bent. take wheel off and spin the rotor and if you hear scraping then make sure the dust sheild isnt in contact with it, bend it back away from rotor if it is.
  24. I have a 2020 silverado and just recently noticed the rear defrost quit working and I found that the wire or cable that connects to the rear slider broke loose from the glass. I took it to the dealer to have them look at it and even told them what was wrong and they told me when i picked it up that everything was working fine but I didnt have time to argue but I was like if they didnt do anything there is no way its not working. It still doesnt work, anyone fixed this by soldering it back or any other method?
  25. I have a 2020 Silverado with 5.3L V8 8speed transmission and I think mine has just started doing it and I have 43000 miles. My ex wifes 2015 tahoe did it but I couldnt ever tell it did but she sure could.
