  1. I think the color is so good I had to paint the rest of it that way
  2. That's a interesting idea. Can you still get your hands on it to lock the cap in? I was surprised how much force was required to turn them.
  3. I went to install the TRS kit today with the H11B bulbs and they hit the caps for the headlights. Truck is a LTZ and has the stock projectors. The bulb isnt in the cener of the cap so I can't just cut a bigger hole. Did I get sent the wrong bulbs, or do I have to find a more creative way of installing these?
  4. Make sure you put some painters tape or other low adhesive tape under the trim on the door and above the part that extends past the window, I have a couple hair size scratches from the first one I did.
  5. They are a gm accessory made by EGR. You can buy them through any online place like autoanything.com or realtruck.com as EGR sells them directly.
  6. Dropped the hitch, then took out the bolts for the bumper only to find out the brackets won't fit out between the frame rails and the bed. After swearing and cursing out GM engineers, I put the bumper back in with a couple bolts and proceeded to remove the eight bed bolts and shift the bed so I could get the bumper back out.
  7. I tore my truck apart in an attempt to remove most of the chrome.
  8. I used that nipple on the gromet where the main wiring harness goes into the cab for the kicker sound gate. It absolutely sucks 100% to get wires through, but once done is very clean. There is a black junction box with several plugs that i had to remove under the dash to get to where that gromet comes. I had to push a bunch of wire into the gromet from under the hood, then go under the dash and jam my fingers in there and pull it out because there is a gromet on the interior side to form a chamber. I also used the gromet under the floor where the emergency brake comes though for the pop & lock.
  9. I did debate that, but I couldn't find a place that would sell me the cover without installation. I got the cover with the keyless entry and a tailgate seal for $1413 from autoanything. Retail is $1650 plus installation/tailgate seal so it all depends on what the warranty is worth to you.
  10. Got my TCUSA American Roll cover and Undercover Swingboxes installed.
  11. I like them, they keep the back of my cab free of junk. On my old truck I had so much crap on the floor people couldn't sit there.
  12. Put on my TCUSA American Roll cover and mounted the Undercover Swingboxes
  13. Little bit of sibling rivalry. I bought my Max Tow 6.2 the day before my younger brother bought his 5.3 All Terrain
  14. What color is that? Also, that tailpipe doesn't look stock.....
  15. Shock the hell out of poor unsuspecting sports/muscle cars. It's quite fun to do with a truck :-D
  16. $2,300 for catted y pipe and headers, then you have to have it tuned..... but man does it sound good
  17. Isn't that the cubby for the trailer brake controller?
  18. My elite E2 was $165 through JDP Motorsports
  19. Size, the E2 holds more
  20. Just ordered the Elite Engineering E2, now all I need is for my truck to get built!
  21. Do the AN fittings provide any benefit over the hose barbs besides the obvious and quite nice aesthetics
  22. It will be quite loud with catted headers. Loud enough that it hurts your ears when you have the windows down and sound reflects off a close building or overpass. Of course it the tone is absolutely amazing though.
  23. Potting? do you mean putting the whole thing in a water tight enclosure?
  24. I have their gen 1 can on my 03' top quality for sure. Could you post a picture of the battery tray mount when you get it in?
  25. I was talking to some reputable shops on the camaro side about what to do for the clean side of the PCV. I already have a elite engineering E2 can ordered for the dirty side. They said the clean side separators work great, but in cold climates they tend to collect moisture and then dump that moisture back into the engine which would be bad. I know of my dirty side can on the 03' in the winter months I have to empty it often and it's always more water than oil. They suggested putting another catch can on the clean side instead. What are peoples thoughts on this?
