    Broke down and ordered one for my 4.3. Only have 2500 miles on it so hopefully It is still clean and can keep it that way now

    If your spending 150 bucks on a nice pnp kit, spend a couple hundred more and go full retrofit route. You will not be sorry you did.

    That's pretty sweet but if you try the RX350 projectors you will never look back to the fx-rs.

    This is the plate that the projector mounts to looking in from the front after the headlight is opened. You can see the square portion I had to remove for the RX350 solenoid to fit properly. You can see the solenoid on the bottom of the RX350 that you need to make room for The blue is what I had to remove to get the TL to fit. The plate broke on the right side where it gets super thin after removing the material. Its a really low quality brittle cast of some sorts. Almost more like plastic than metal but it is indeed metal.

    Yeah I was aware of the slim solenoid but I used the stock one. I truthfully figured that these housings are so huge that i wouldn't need the upgrade. However that was only half the cutting. The projector bowl is so wide on these things that I had to also cut out for width. Its unfortunate because in my opinion the TL is the best bixenon out there for low and High beam and I would have loved to use them. I'm sure it can be done but my wife was starting to get angry with how much time I was spending on them so I kinda had to leave it be. For now.....

    Here are some output pics of the RX350 retro I did the other day. until my splitter arrives I just have the high beams hooked to the Bixenon not the halogen reflector. The output is really nice so I may just keep it this way. These really dont do it justice though the iso and whitebalance isn't the greatest on the phone. Sorry for the terrible quality but my Note 4 is all I got to take pics. About 25 ft from wall Same distance with high beam, different angle Driving down the road low beam Driving down the road High beam Projector fits very nice in the housing, Can't tell its not original.

    I figured you did but would hate to see you go through that muchtrouble only to have them not fit. Love the progress though your doing good work here.

    It really depends on how ocd you are. You could easily buy the projectors from TRS and install as is with no problem. You do have to open the headlight and cut a little bit around the mounts so they will fit but that part is easy. I did however get the projectors, install clear lenses, and tune the output to straighten out the cutoff which took time. I also spent a good amount of time installing the Fx-r's and testing the output, installing the Acura TL projectors and trying to make them fit, and ultimately settling on the rx350. The TL required major cutting to the mounting surface of the headlight just to fit it in the housing which ultimately made the mounting surface to weak and I busted some mounting poles off. Long story short is it all depends if your happy with a stock output or tuning it to your liking.

    On the silverado I did notice that it is a really tight fit for the cap on the side closest to the fender. The way that the cap is designed, you can make the raised portion any wider or it won't clear the radiator support on the fender side. I'll try to show you what I'm talking about

    Retro'd in some RX350 projectors and installed some Denso slim ballasts to run my Osram Xenarcs. Man OEM components make a world of difference in performance! Also installed wireless charging for my phone into my center console mat awhile ago may or may not have mentioned that already. Pics tomorrow

    Retro'd in some RX350 US shield projectors today I to my eagle eyes aftermarket ltz replica headlights. Other than having to open the headlight to cut some area around the mounting posts for the solenoid to fit, it was a direct bolt in replacement for the halogen projector using the non-afs bracket from TRS. I did try to fit a TL BIX but that thing is too massive. Also got the fx-rs to fit in nicely but I much prefer the RX350 performance over the fx-rs. I can post some pics tomorrrow

    Depends what breaks in the future. If it has anything to do with the hid kit you installed then it likely won't be covered. Everything else will be fine

    ^ What he said. I've got a set of FX-Rs in my garage and a set of both TLs and RX-350 bixenons on the way. I'm going to see which I like better and hopefully do a writeup on mounting each type into the aftermarket LTZ housings made by Eagle Eyes.

    Yeah I ended up cutting the raised back off an extra pair and attaching them to the back of another set of caps. Looks ugly but works for now

    Don't think you can go wrong either way. All the "RX350 vs. FX-R" threads I've read over on hid planet seem to be a split on preference of the two. Both being some if not the top performers for bixenon.

    I too have a set of FX-Rs sitting in the garage awaiting the holidays to get over. Also have a set of non-afs RX350s enroute from TRS with denso slims. Going to compare fitment in my aftermarket LTZ headlights to see which fit better and are easier to retro since the mounting posts for the projectors are spaced different than the oem LTZs.

    A relay is a switch. The box that all the wires are connected to. The harness is the whole system to draw power directly from the battery.
