  1. Are you using the remote start? These can e programmed to come on with remote start. Once you get in and press start they will go back to normal manual control. This can be changed in the Settings.
  2. The GM ones are much better. I have had many sets of weather tech. The GM ones are more pliable and clean up better. Perfect fit and they were actually slightly cheaper.
  3. Just use the fog light to trigger a relay. The relay can switch power to the light bar. #30 to Power #85 to ground #86 to fog light switched power #87 to Light bar
  4. Check the owners manual to see what fuse would power the 12 volt outlet and check see if the fuse is missing.
  5. Mine is very easily scratched as well.
  6. Here is how I taped into switched and constant power in the passenger side fuse panel.
  7. I was able to grab both constant and switched power in the passengers fuse box. I will try to find a picture
  8. Here is my experience as a mechanic. You don't get 4 bad parts. Either there is something else wrong and they are replacing the wrong part and thinking its fixed just because it starts now (the issue is intermittent by the sounds of it). Or the part is failing. If the part is failing they need to determine why. Again you don't get 4 bad new parts. Is there a voltage drop on the supply or ground circuit causing it to not spin fast enough and short internally/ overheat? Or is there a missing shield that is allowing water or excess heat from something cause this. Have they ever actually been able to get to not crank while in their shop? It can be very tough to diagnose a fault that isn't present at the time but throwing another starter at it isn't likely going to get you any closer to fixing your truck. Try to note everything to happens when it wont start: Will the headlights work? Does the radio work, what is showing on the display? If you have a code reader connect it and see if you can retreieve DTC's during this time. Any additional info you can gather may help the technician determine the overall cause.
  9. 180 Celsius has to be wrong. That would be 350 F.
  10. Remote start with the app or enter the truck and wait more than 5 minutes before starting. This occurred to me while routing the charger for my dash cam. I was sitting in the passengers seat for a while and it got cold so I leaned over to remote start it. The light cam on shortly after, There has also been times when I returned to the truck to waiting for my wife and kids and didn't start it right away.
  11. You know that is logical. You wouldn't trim the outside windows of your house without a flashing. Why isn't there at least a drip edge on the spoiler?
  12. I don't understand. If you are assaying the spoiler is the issue (at least most of the time) while does this issue seem to occurring only on trucks with the sliding rear window. What is different on these trucks other than the rear window?
  13. Makes you wish we had a lemon law in Canada too doesn't it?
  14. Sorry Shane I can't help much. As a mechanic I find this response from the dealer to be ridiculous. Does this issue happen with both key fobs? Have you tried placing the fob in the section between the 2 front cup holders? This is the location used when the battery on the fob is dead. It will be able to pick up the key when placed there even if the battery in the fob is dead. (Location may very. This is where it is in my 2019 Elevation with center console)
  15. I have read in previous posts that when they determine (or guess) the spoiler/ grommets are leaking the dealer is using seam sealer for remedy this. How are we going to get the spoiler off in 2 years if needed if they glue it on? This sounds more like a band-aid and not a real fix. I'm almost afraid to wash my truck anymore in case I find out its started leaking...
  16. I haven't been able to get it to the dealer yet. I'm not experiencing any noticeable issues with my brake. If I had I would just get it towed.. The MIL has not come back on in over the week either.
  17. There is another thread going on this.
  18. 100 days? What are they hand crafting the parts for it? You must be more patient then me. I would have gone sideways way before then..
  19. I had the MIL on. U0100, U0101, U0146 and P25A2. The light went out before I could get an appointment with the dealer and didn't feel like driving all that way to hear the "well we don't see anything wrong" BS and then I saw the recall for the brake module and wonder if they are related. I will try to get it in soon. Keep us posted.
  20. I did this to my 2011 Sierra. I used Katzkins and was very pleased with the qualify and service. I bought the base model which is leather in the seating areas and leather-like in the others. Almost impossible to tell the 2 apart. I had the truck for 8 year with those seats and they still looked great when traded. It was hard use too. 3 kids and 2 dogs. I will say it was a lot of work to install. I think I spent 10 hours total. And to qualify it I'm an automotive mechanic. I took my time because I had never done this sort of job and didn't want to break anything. The headrests were tough. Its like forcing a basket ball into a hole the size of quarter... I'm debating if I should upgrade my 2019 Elevation.
  21. I would notify the dealer right away about the sag in the headliner. Even if you don't take it in right away let them know so that it is on file. This should help avoid issues later. Plus if their tech is doing sloppy work its best to let them know so they can address that before he/ she does 100 more vehicles....
  22. I bought All Weather Floor Liners for my Elevation and the rear mat had be cut to fit underneath the rear storage box. What you have in the front is the All Weather Floor Mat and not the Liner I believe. Not sure about the rear.
