  1. No light currently. The case was just under $400. And the Sig was just what I used for the photo, I carry my G32 or my HK45C.
  2. I'd expect that would fit fine as I think my Aimpoint is taller. The case is awesome, waterproof, durable, etc.
  3. For the pistol they had options for the M9/Beretta 92, 1911 and the M11/Sig P228. I got mine with the Sig cutout and all of my pistols except for the Beretta fit decently enough for transport because they're all the same size. For the rifle I got the M4 SOPMOD version, it has large cuts to clear optics and such. This is it: They can do custom too. Browse the site, they have tons of options.
  4. casesbypelican.net. Not cheap but it fits a rifle and pistol like a glove.
  5. You get to lock the case with real locks, not stupid TSA locks. They keep a tight control of firearms in their care. I spent a lot of money on a Pelican case ($400) and it keeps t protected. Can't say I blame ya for not wanting to, I'd much rather drive places than fly.
  6. Never been a fan of heavily tinted windows. Can't really explain it but I've never been able to convince myself that the perceived benefits outweigh the fact that they suck to see out of in the dark and that the tint up front wouldn't fly here in Michigan or back in NH.
  7. You going to the dunes opening weekend or something? I hate stickers. I'll get my ORV sticker for my June trip and probably scrape it off after.
  8. X2. One of the guys I work with had a SCAR that he sold when his son was born. I got to shoot that a few times. So damn nice! So if any BlackBear customers visit, they get a turn behind the rifle, right? Especially customers who are moderators too?
  9. The 5.3 is by far the most common of the engines. For the Gen III motors it was produced at a 2:1 ratio compared to the 4.8 or even the LS1. So to say dealers only have a few is absurd.
  10. No one is trying to hide anything. It's simple fact that some here have blown whatever issues exist with AFM (if any) way the hell out of proportion. GM has sold hundreds of thousands of trucks, SUVs and cars with AFM and if it were truly widespread as some would lead you to believe then this place would be full of people complaining about the system.
  11. I didn't do mine for a while on my truck and they got choppy within like 10k miles or so.
  12. I rotate mine every time I go for a drive. Didn't you just put those on?
  13. To Ann Arbor for work then tonight to UPS to return a package to Amazon. Then some old man pulled out in front of me. Nearly hit him.
  14. Not worried about having to be near the trigger to use the BAD Lever. I know what I'm doing with the gun and its not like I'll ever use it for more than target shooting. BCM charging handle vs standard: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Will do. I'm supposed to fly home Thursday. Been a long three weeks without my truck, my guns or bacon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I can try and get ya a side by side pic this weekend if you like. I s have the OE charging handle kicking around I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I'm very satisfied with mine. That and the BAD Lever are two inexpensive but great modifications. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Ford took govt money too and unlike GM, is not paying the feds back (they weren't required to, but still...). And I've lost some serious faith in Ford- their models do look good (the Fusion is probably the best looking mainstream sedan on the market) but there have been lots of recalls surrounding the engines and their new infotainment system is horrible to use, just like almost every review mentions. As for the comparison between your truck and an EB F150- the Ford probably weighs 1000 pounds more than your truck which does help the ride, the F150 is truly solidly built but I've never been able to get comfy in one, the seats are always too firm. And I'd expect/hope the EB could pull away from a 5.3 considering it makes nearly 100 lb-ft more than a stock 5.3. The F150 seems like a decent truck, but it only just became one- I would never go near one prior to 2011 with the old 4.6/5.4 motors- no power and the whole issue with plugs causing problems in the cylinder heads. That and Ford trucks are horrible to work on.
  19. Again, you act like GM is the only one to make certain repairs difficult when I can speak with first hand experience that they ALL do that. And I can't blame them- if they're responsible for warranty coverage for years and tens of thousands of miles, then it is well within their rights to protect their products from incompetent hands. As for your second point, I agree that seeing a (insert model here) with a pile of miles goes a long way toward the image of quality/durability. That said, I know several people with GM vehicles with over 200k on them. Can't say the same for Fords and absolutely not Dodge. And I definitely see more old GM trucks on the road than anything else, both here in Michigan where domestics are heavily favored for obvious reasons and back east. As for the health of GM, they aren't going anywhere. Even with one of the oldest platforms in the segment, GM sold more half ton and 3/4 ton pickups than anyone else. The biggest hurdle for GM is the media- most of them hate GM and will jump at the slightest chance to slander the company even though most of their models compete with, if not surpass the media's beloved Toyota and Honda.
  20. You act like GM is the only one who does this. Hybrid systems are massively complex and a battery changeout on a Toyota, Honda or anyone else will be just as involved.
  21. Went for a quick drive to grab dinner. Then nearly hit someone who stopped in the middle of the intersection to let someone in the opposing land make an illegal turn. With the roads as slippery as they are it's amazing I didn't hit her.
  22. I hate it when people put HIDs in halogen housings. You get glare, even of someone has the mindset to adjust them. But I will say purposely leaving lights where they'll blind other drivers is stupid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Still new! I have like 45k on mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. That's cause that fancy Canadian gas costs so much more than the American stuff. Nevermind that the gas in my tank now likely was made from oil recovered in Alberta. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
