  1. Rather jealous. I can only hope they need support for the NAIAS at Detroit in January.
  2. Hah. 2011 bought 3/2011 with 53xxx miles.
  3. On my 2011 the brake/parking lights provide 95% of the lighting. Even with my absurdly bright LED reverse lights they make just a slight difference on camera.
  4. These trucks have six airbags and dozens of related components. It can be pretty much anything but based on their messing with the harness and de-greasing I'd bet some part is throwing a resistance error. If they've had the truck that many times I'd be asking to get GM involved.
  5. Drove the rental Suburban to work (man am I gonna miss this beast!) and worked on programming an automated substrate mask handling system. Never done automation programming before. I'd be kinda ok not doing it ever again.
  6. Been enjoying the hell out of my rental Suburban. We've been using it to take everyone to lunch the past couple days. Rides so nice for such a big vehicle with those coils out back.
  7. Left the truck at the airport. Flew to NH and got a brand new Suburban for my rental. It's black and with that 3rd row come Monday I can take my entire department out on our lunch break and play FBI.
  8. Someone stole my two 13mm wrenches while I was at lunch. Put a real crimp on how much I could do. I ate at a good Irish pub called 9 Irish Brothers last night, started late this morning because the parking permit office had moved since my last visit and then the wrench thing. Rough start.
  9. Missing my truck. I'm on the road this week, at Purdue now in a rental car with a weird smell. I did see a Ferrari 458 today which was neat- such a stunningly beautiful car.
  10. Sunburned the hell out of my arms yesterday at the track. Still a good time. Though the registration renewal from the SOS office was in the mailbox when I got home. At least Michigan registration is cheap.
  11. I'm at Onondaga Dragway today. Plus Jackson isn't terribly close to Detroit and I'd destroy you regardless. I'm not afraid to beat a girl.
  12. Go back and read my post. Zingerman's Roadhouse in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Just off I94 exit 172 I think. Shredded BBQ beef, fries and the best mac and cheese on the planet. The planet! Haha
  13. Visited a customer in Ann Arbor then had lunch at one of my favorite places to eat on the planet- Zingerman's Roadhouse.
  14. That will use more fuel. When coasting most engines shut off the fuel. And unless other years are different, mine doesn't do anything weird in manual mode. Just drive in M6.
  15. Sorry, I'm an idiot and still not used to how Tapatalk now displays quoted posts.
  16. The photos clearly show plugging into a junction box so I'd say its plug and play.
  17. I think its inactive in manual mode.
  18. Drove up to Onondaga Dragway, reopened for the first time since like 1971. Of course it rained this morning so I poked around for like an hour while the drying trucks did their thing before giving up and heading back home. Kind of a bust but nice to see a track with lots of history open back up. Various groups have been fighting the town and property owners since 1985 to make this happen.
  19. Most of these suspension lifts don't do crap for off road performance- you sit up higher but still have lousy flex, lousy suspension travel and likely poor suspension control. It's all for looks but even so, I'd never want any of the wheels lift makers seem to chose to show off their stuff. I could potentially accept 20s on a big tire but I generally don't like black wheels and hate the over styled stuff. My taste is old school I guess.
  20. Cute kiddos but they're wearing the wrong hats.
  21. I did like 34k last year.
  22. I had a V6 rental Camaro sometime in mid-2010 and they were still new enough that it turned heads everywhere. Didn't help that it was bright yellow. I was actually here in Michigan that week (before I lived here) and met some friends for dinner at a BWW in Brighton. I pulled in and there was some kids birthday party in the outside dining area because as soon as I parked there where 5 or 6 sets of little eyes poking above the fence. Then my buddy showed up in his 69 Chevelle that you can hear from the moon and I was no longer cool.
  23. Not a mod. It was a factory option for a few years. Not sure if you can retrofit it since the parts don't exist anymore.
  24. I did like 900 in two days and over 2000 the past three weeks. Drove MI to NH. Then NH to VT. Back to NH, commuted to the office for a week (60ish miles a day) then back to Michigan. My bank account is hurting from all the gas the past few weeks. Just added that up. 168ish gallons of gas. Payed between $3.65 to $4.22 for 93. I just realized why I don't take vacations often.
  25. Made it back to Michigan.
