  1. Mine came painted and have held up okay so far. 47k miles and a little over two years old.
  2. Wow, that seems young to have mastered two wheels! Pretty cool. You should get him on a dirt bike. Maybe he can be a motocross champ and get you into a good old folks home when he grows up. In unrelated news I think I'd like a 2012 grill for my truck with the split bar.
  3. How old is he Ryan? I'm pretty sure I was into like first grade before I could go without training wheels. Maybe I'm just bad at learning.
  4. Haven't driven mine all week again. Been in a rental Impala for work. I don't have anything at hole so I'll probably have to go out for lunch. Hoping I can bail from work at noon to go shooting but I doubt it'll work out.
  5. I fill up at 1/4 tank so it takes 18-20 gallons of E85 every few hundred miles. I on the other hand, had a tasty sub from Jimmy John's last night.
  6. Haven't driven it all week. Gonna take it to dinner at some point I suppose.
  7. I am unwilling to make it a matter of record how fast I tend to drive on the very lightly patrolled Michigan highways.
  8. Plenty of states have a limit of 70-75. 78 is perfectly reasonable. Though the speed might hurt that impressive average mpg some!
  9. Went downtown to the car show. Good turnout.
  10. I see what you did there...
  11. That reminded me of celebrity deathmatch on MTV. I just checked and the original series ended in 2002. I feel old.
  12. Yep that's how those places work.
  13. Come to Jackson to do it? Clean my truck while you're at it?
  14. So you mean it'll rain until tomorrow? Weather looks fantastic through Sunday here. 81 degrees currently.
  15. For as little as it gets shot the Magpul stock can stay. At least till 5.56 is easy to find once more.
  16. Drove to Novi to meet some friends for dinner at Tilted Kilt. Nice place.
  17. When I was at the dealer we had the lot kid fill a few VW diesels with 87. That makes a neat noise.
  18. Hit 47,000 yesterday. That's 3000 miles so far this year.
  19. This! Wasn't with my truck but I went with a friend in his '69 Chevelle to a cruise night at the Halo Burger in Grand Blanc. Quite a few nice cars on display.
  20. If you lost five it is likely the high speed blower relay, not the resistor. Check the plug though as they do melt on the resistor harness.
  21. Just got home from Illinois (lock the front door, oh boy! ). Went for a drive to enjoy this awesome weather then did a quick round of shopping. Apparently the Meijer is the ricer hangout on Friday nights.
  22. Glad to help. The sound in the video vs. real life I think is pretty close. It's hard to be sure because the sound in the cab is different than what you hear outside. I will say that the initial startup/rev is a bit more raspy than how it actually sounds, at least now. The bark it makes on a cold startup (especially in cooler temps) is aggressive though. It was around $550 from Summit for the single outlet, I didn't want duals, it just seems like everyone has them. Also, out the back duals will echo like a bastard if you tow an enclosed trailer/camper. I went dB/Corsa over the rest because the drone/resonance is minimal with the dB kit. When you're driving down the highway it is a nice quiet rumble compared to the boomy-ness of exhausts I've heard on trucks with Flowmaster or Magnaflow setups but then when you punch the gas, the truck will clear it's throat and make some noise. As for sound, I think a bigger tip might make more noise but personally I think a 5"-6" tip would look a bit absurd. Again, that's all personal taste though. I've never been crazy about the rolled tip design and the single inlet/dual outlet tip that comes on the Corsa system for my truck is ugly to me. Plus the Corsa is almost twice as much.
  23. Same muffler. dB does not have a flex pipe at the cat connection and some feel that this makes the AFM resonance more noticeable I could hear it on mine but it was not unbearable. The pipes are a lower grade stainless than the Corsa. I have not quite two years on my exhaust and there is some surface oxidation but nothing I'd think would cause rust through any time soon. Also, the tip is different- it is a single wall like you'd find on most other systems compared to the dual outlet/dual wall tip on Corsa systems. I think I paid like $550 plus shipping from Summit. This is a youtube vid I made after installing the exhaust:
