    GM doesn't allow AFM at idle because it would be too rough, though the noise would likely be unpleasant too.

    He may be talking about the gas. He lives in CA so he pays too much. Hell I think regular is like $3.2x here. No idea why the Jackson area is always more than elsewhere. Hell even Ann Arbor is cheaper. So weren't the gas stations I passed in Detroit yesterday but I decided to wait, didn't feel like stopping there.

    Probably for a bike rack or something. I doubt those can tow much.

    Unless you do as Won suggested you won't find a better price unless you buy used. Not sure you can get them anywhere but the manufacturer. If you live near them (Cincinnati I think) you can even pick it up in person, or at least you used to be able to.

    Filled up with premium instead of E85. Gonna be driving back to NH for Christmas in a bit and want to maximize highway range by flushing out the ethanol. Marathon station by my apartment has ethanol free gas. May keep it on that for a while. For the time being gas has dropped enough that E85 isn't cost effective anymore.

    Plenty of available housing in Michigan where often on summer weekends I end up behind people running race gas on late model built cars.

    That's weird. Even on the coldest of days mine will be ready to go in a couple cycles of the remote start.

    I worked at Circuit City in high school. I'll never partake in Black Friday and absolutely oppose retail places opening Thursday.

    Well I'm doing E85 and as of late with using the remote start to warm the truck I've only been getting 9-10 MPG.

    You're brave making that drive on a messed up trans! I'm at Detroit waiting to push back. Flying to NH... via Chicago.

    All projectors seem to be like that. Even the Subaru I had before my current 2011 had a very sharp cutoff and there was no shutter- the low beam was projector and the high beam a normal reflector.

    Be glad these trucks don't need friction modifier. I did my internship in a Ford shop and whenever I popped the cover on a truck with a LSD the smell made me gag.

    I helped a coworker do a fuel pump in a Walmart lot in like January in his g/f's BMW. Pump is easy work- pull the seat, remove the panel and then you have the pump right there but it was single digit temps and crazy wind. Not much fun.

    They absolutely use the same camera. Only differences are in trim and such.

    If you're getting a significant tax return without owning a home or having children, you're paying too much in taxes.     You need a tool or dealer visit. The air down procedure no longer works. Hasn't since mid 2011.

    Wasn't test hill. Just a regular hill. I did perfectly fine drag racing on the flats dammit!

    BB tune and low range will let you smoke most things. Off the line anyhow. lol

    Never was. I can't understand why people don't like the Z71 being available on 2WD. It never has been anything hardcore, just a catchy name thanks to GM's RPO system.

    He's being a bit blunt but he's right. With the bigger tires and the dune visits you need to do something to strengthen the trans otherwise the next break may be catastrophic. A rebuild on a non-blown trans will be cheaper than one that has scattered parts.

    I miss mine. On a work trip and I have a Mazda 5. Hate it. Seat doesn't go back enough so driving is crazy uncomfortable.

    Detroit is very close to me- the Cobo center is a little over an hour away.
