This is my first post here so cut me some slack if it's in the wrong place.. Anyway, I recently bought myself a 2013 Silverado 2500, gas 6.0, 4x4 & on the drive home taking the highway I noticed there is little shake/vibration when on the gas when going 40+. Nothing bad at all, just seems to run less then smooth while on the accelerator going 40 & over. It completely stops when I let off the gas & just coast. It feels like its coming from the engine but if not then idk where it could be coming from.. Up till this point I've read it could be the driveshaft or U-joints, which are not looking to healthy, very rusty. Anything else it could most likely be? Odometer currently reads 50,500. Thanks in advance!

Hi I've just recently bought a 1972 chevy C50 dump truck. Driving it home the emergency brake seizes up and both driveshafts blow out the bottom. The drum for the e-brake is destroyed along with the rear driveshaft. There's a 16 spline as well that was damaged. I'm trying to find lengths of rear driveshaft, what drum they used on the e-brake and the 16 spline, female side, any info will help thanks

Who has replaced their factory rear driveshaft: Why? What brand or what type of custom build? Type of mods to driveshaft? Steel vs. Aluminum heavier/thicker walled/stronger Length added to accommodate lift kit? Heavier U Joints? Two piece? Cost? Results? Additional Advice or comments? Feel free to add in any field I neglected to mention. *I searched, but did not find a dedicated replacement driveshaft thread.

Hey all, sorry if this is the wrong area. 2008 Suburban 4WD here and I bent this weird clip on my u-joint, curious if I need to replace u-joint or not? I have 4 u-joints and only the one on the front diff has it. Very thin metal that I can’t imagine does much. New ones don’t come with it. What’s this things purpose? Can I just pull it and forget it? Never seen one of them before anyway. Thanks guys!

Trying to pull the front driveshaft on my '07 Sierra 1500 (new style). Front of shaft is free (out of front diff) but at the back end there is a pressed u-joint (no bolts) with a short rubber boot clamped over the spindle end and it is not sliding out of the transfer case as easily as other driveshafts I've pulled in the past. Dont want to force it if the boot is what's holding it back. Do not see any videos or explanatary photos online showing how the DS removes from the transfer case. Anyone help? See photo. Much thanks...
