AYYYYOOOO, So I have a 2016 Silverado 5.3L 1500 High Country with a K and N series 77 cold air intake and a Borla ATAK cat back Dual Exhaust and I am looking for the best/recommended tuner to go with.... Really I just want overall better drivability comfort and power, disable the speed control limit and AFM disable functions. After some research that I have done I have noticed multiple mixed reviews and could not decide which one to go with. Here is a list of the ones that were most talked about and was wondering if any of these would best suit my truck or if there is something else out there: Bully Dog 40417 GT Platinum Tuner DiabloSport 9245 Trinity 2 EX Platinum DiabloSport 7220 Predator 2 Platinum Superchips Flashpaq F5 Tuner Thanks in advance!!

Hello, Looking to upgrade my 2017 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4WD. I am set on the 4" BDS Lift kit with the Fox shocks. Is there any benefit to the BDS Recoil System Traction bar upgrade? Or any benefit to the Rear leaf springs upgrade instead of the 4" blocks? Secondly, I am deciding on whether I should get 33" tires or 35" - Any suggestions. Don't want 33's to look small, but don't want 35's to look to big or not fit. Wanting the Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires and Fuel Rebel 8 D679 20x10 Rims. Any suggestions on the BDS upgrades or Tire sizes is greatly appreciated. First time lifting a truck. Thanks!

I bought a 2015 Silverado 1500 lt double cab 5.3L V8 4x4 with 12,000 miles on it a couple months ago. It now has just under 20k miles and when I went to check the oil there where metal shavings on the end of the dipstick. Concerningly big metal shavings. I brought it in to my local GM dealer and they told me that it's from the dipstick scraping on the dipstick tube. They didnt run any tests on it they just drained it and looked in the oil itself and didnt find any shavings (so they said). Which sounded a little shady to me so I started looking to see if anyone else had this problem and I found a few cases similar but not enough for me to come to a solid conclusion. The pickup runs great and I dont hear or feel any problems but any insight would be greatly appreciated. I thought about sending a sample to be tested myself but I dont know of any good company's near me that do it. Any recommendations on that would great too. Thanks

I have a 2015 Silverado with the 5.3L that just had the number 7 lifter collapse.... Just normal acceleration and lost power. Sounds like this is a common issue with the AFM engines... I took it in to the Chevy dealer and they want way too much to replace the lifter and check the cam for wear. Of course, my warranty was done 20k ago at 160k so I'm wondering what are my best options. Does it make sense to repair and hope nothing else goes wrong or spend the money on a new or salvage engine with low km and pay to put that in?? I'd like to keep the truck for a long time if possible. What would you do in this situation?

I am wanting to trade in my 14 silverado 1500 for something thats rated to pull more weight. I notice on Chevrolet's website that the commercial silverado 1500 w/ 3.73 rear axle ratio has a 15000/16700lbs w max trailering package rating. Every dealership I've called doesn't know what I am talking about so can someone verify for me that this configuration of the Silverado exists?!

Just installed a GM borla kit onto my truck and looking to sell the OEM exhaust system and tip that came with the truck. The exhaust came off of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L crew cab short bed. The exhaust system has about 1100 miles on it, pretty much brand new, only had it a few weeks. I am selling the whole exhaust plus tip for $200, the exhaust tip only for $75, the exhaust system only for $150. The tip is the chevy bowtie tip, $105 new from chevy. I'm willing to ship the exhaust tip at buyer's expense. I am located in Tampa, FL 33763 if you want to look at shipping estimates. PM me any questions or if you want more photos of anything. Thanks for looking. Bob

Got a 2001 silverado 1500 z71. Recently, rebuilt transmission. Since the transmission has been rebuilt the 4x4 does not work. There are no lights in the push buttons on the dash, no "service 4x4" light, no noise when you try to engage. STEPS TAKEN: -Checked/replaced all fuses -Slaved in 4x4 button panel from known good truck. Where to start? I only ask because to me, there's no electricity in the required circuits, so why go mechanical right off the bat... NEED HELP

Just wanted to get some ideas as to what you might have found to be useful or cool to install on your truck. As per the title, I am looking forward to ideas that would fit a K2XX platform Silverado 1500. Mine is a 2016 LT crew cab standard bed. Things that I have been thinking about have been a spray on bed liner from LINE-X and an aftermarket exhaust that would be legal in CA. Hope to hear about quality gems out there and even the sad stories about bad quality parts so that we may all learn. Diagrams and pictures and first hand examples are much appreciated! If you post about exhausts, please tell me for what vehicle length its for please (short bed, standard bed, long bed). Thank you for your participation!

Hey everyone, I am having an issue with my 4WD light. It's not so much the 4WD . It will engage in 4 wheel hi and low, and disengage but the 4WD engaged light never goes out. I tried hooking this up to a scanner to check for error codes and there are none. I have been reading through a few forums and found it might be the front differential actuator? I am wondering if this is the most likely cause of this problem and if there is a way to test it to make sure it is the issue before I buy the parts because it looks like a fairly easy fix if it is. Thanks Nick I should have mentioned. 2012 Silverado 1500 LS 4.8L with manual 4WD

Ok so here is the deal. I bought a 2015 Silverado crew cab Z71. got a leveling kit installed at dealer. Don't like it. I want to trade with someone who is looking for a leveling kit for their 2014-15 Silverado z71 4x4 front coil over spring and strut assembly. Basicly swap front shocks, both trucks get alignment and we go on our separate ways. If anyone is interested in this, I am in Cumming, Ga. Northeast of Atlanta about 40 minutes(on a good day without traffic) send me a message here. My truck is brand new with less than 600 miles on it. Leveling kit was installed Wednesday May 27th.

I have a set of front coil over shocks with a Polyurethane Daystar leveling kit. Just fyi, the studs on top of the shock were cut to put the new studs for the leveling kit spacer. I have the front coil over shocks and leveling kit for sale. you will have to purchase the nuts for the studs. The factory ones will not work. I am sure you can find a lock nut at any hardware store to fit studs. Asking $180 for struts and leveling kit. Am in Cumming GA northeast of Atlanta. These shocks and leveling kit will fit 2007-2015 Silverado's and sierra's. I will upload pictures later.

Alright so I'm going to pick up my 2014 6.2 liter Silverado 1500 Mid-November. I was thinking about putting a 6 inch lift on, 18 inch black rims, and bigger tires for this winter. How much would all of this cost and would you think it's worth it?
