  1. "Ran when parked" aka FUBAR
  2. Says the guy with a mini van. That bar is huge Sarah. I like
  3. I put in the new u joints. The old ones weren't too bad. But I can shoot a little grease in at each oil change now.
  4. If you get rid of it you'll regret it.
  5. Changed oil and air filters in my mom's vehicles for her. I think when I moved out so did general cleanliness and care for vehicles. Picked up new u joints for my pickup. Priced a fuel pump too, ahhhh expensive.
  6. Don't count on the LG lasting any longer.
  7. Switched to 91 octane tune. Giggity
  8. What does a paper filter getting "caked" have to do with anything? Used in dusty conditions a filter should get caked and covered. If it doesn't, it's letting stuff through! I have seen intakes of vehicles running oiled filters and they are never as clean as an intake downstream of a non oiled filter. There are plenty of quality non oiled filters. You don't see anyone running oiled filters on farm equipment. Big diesels demand far more air than a pickup, and most use paper filters, x2!
  9. I think the mods are with me on this Jon: Pics on delivery or ban!! But I hope you stick around, we'd miss you.
  10. The mileage is all that matters IIRC
  11. What would you trade it on? I would miss the boost.
  12. LT tires are 10 ply, P tires are generally 4 ply. LT or "E" range tires are heavier and tougher, usually have stiffer sidewalls and resist flats better the P tires. *Most* people don't need LT tires.
  13. Washed and filled with 91, gonna switch tunes next tank.
  14. I don't know if I've put this one in here. I like it better clean though. I miss having a beater truck that I didn't care had 400 lbs of mud on it, lol.
  15. Lol @ "middle of nowhere" and "dirty". But since you used to live down south I know you know what dirty really is.
  16. Yeah that's what I figured since the 80 is longer. So far my 60 has held up, not sure what I'll do when it goes. But if a 4l80 isn't too bad to swap in I'd consider it...
  17. Wouldn't you have to change both driveshafts?
  18. I feel like a 4l80 would be a bit more work on a 4x4. Tons of parts you'd have to hunt down. Everyone talks about Finish Line trannys. I've never used one. Around here everyone uses Jasper's. They cost more but carry a 100,000 mile warranty.
  19. Forget that place, I'd hit the Arby's
  20. I'd keep her til she blows. Then put in a new motor and keep going.
  21. Thanks CA! It's a great setup. I still need to try out more of the features. The only problem is people keep asking me what kind of "tuner" I have.
  22. You'd be surprised. Troubleshooting is a lot easier on an OBDII vehicle. The only 2 codes my truck has thrown were diagnosed in 20 minutes thanks to computers.
  23. I took a short drive to see family. Truck purred like a kitten. Coming back in the dark was fun with all the lights and the pretty new monitor.
