  1. My truck is hiding in the parking garage again until everything is gone
  2. I think that boat is a Denali, lol. Sweet.
  3. #droppinbombs #minefield
  4. Drove to KC for the Royals game. Got a cool bag.
  5. Yeah I didn't hear about it til later in the day. My phone went off and said hail was possible soon so I went and hid the truck lol. Wind warnings all day, then storms all night, welcome to warmer weather in Kansas. Although it's been calm with light mist two days straight now.
  6. I went and hid my truck in a parking garage last night when the storms rolled through, haha.
  7. Well y'all already know how I feel about it. In 2010 over $7bil went to ethanol subsidy. No idea what it is today. It's fine as race fuel but as "sustainable energy" as it is today it's a joke. I remember reading it's about 167% return, not sure which # is closer. Could ethanol "pass" imported/domestic oil? It very well could if not for one factor, which is that you have to burn fossil fuel to get it. Another fun fact, while it's better in terms of particulate pollution, it's actually worse for smog.
  8. The thing is ethanol is made using other fuels, mainly diesel. If the government quit subsidizing the ethanol "industry", no one would be able to afford it.
  9. That little black Sub would have set a much better time with a different driver... Thing flew when he opened it up. That Chevelle is pretty.
  10. You can still buy Jordans for $100
  11. They had crews in the 90's though
  12. I used Direct and had my local garage put the tires on. I was impressed with how new the tires were, according to sidewall 2 months old when I got them. I have noticed if they sit too long they can be harder to balance. I may stop at the Denton area DCT next time I'm in Dallas to have them siped, but I'll make sure to see if I can find any dirt on that location before I do. Thanks for the heads up. Scratch that, there's one in Carrollton.
  13. Yep that's why I got one from Discount Tire. I'm hoping if I need it they hold up their end...
  14. Not saying it will, I carry a plug kit in my truck after all... Just saying I won't leave a tire like that long term and it may void your tire warranty.
  15. Plugs in an on road tire? Braver than me. I will use them temporarily but only til I can get a real patch. Just FYI plugs aren't recognized as a valid method of repair by any manufacturer I know of; if you have trouble with the tire under warranty they may not cover the tire.
  16. That's part of the reason I wanted a Duramax, very good resale. But that's the same reason a couldn't afford one. When I was looking, many of the Fords comparable to my 2006 were ~50% less.
  17. How can you compare a truck from mid 90's to now? No airbags or newer safety stuff, no fancy radios, 50% less efficient... They're a whole different animal now with infinity jillion airbags and XM and 8 inch nav and sensors both ends and backup cam. That's why the price is so much higher. Hold on to your cash if you don't like it. I would never buy a new vehicle myself simply because it's financially stupid even if you pay cash. Wait 3-4 years and pay half.
  18. Buy used, problem solved. My 2006 has an option no 2014 does, rear vents. No pesky traction control. AM/FM 6 CD, iPhone jack, dimming power fold mirrors... Plenty for me.
  19. Oh I'd have no problem with a tuned Dmax running 3.73's on 33's lol. But I couldn't stand it in a gasser.
  20. My 1990 with 160 horse wasn't the fastest. I want to buy 2 LQ9's eventually, one for my 2006, one for the ol 1990. Giggity Why no minivan in that pic Ryan?
  21. I'm just saying... There's no way I could tolerate less than 4.56 with 35's in a half ton
  22. You must be used to being slow Sarah, 3.73 is the lowest I'd go on stock tires lol
  23. Got this ready to go. Fired right up.
