Here is an update. After the "update", the CarPlay icon was "grayed out". I went into settings and CarPlay had been disabled or would not connect wirelessly. I don't know exactly what I did, but I reset the settings to allow CarPlay to connect wirelessly and now every thing is fine. The icon is now lit up. I bet the "update" turned it off without a data plan, but I was able to re-activate it. I also checked all the settings in my phone to allow CarPlay to connect. Best of luck to every one

I have a 2024 Silverado 2500 High Country. It is a month old and the initial "free" data plan has expired. I also just did an "over the air" update on the entertainment system (prompted by GM). Now, my wireless Apple Carplay does not work (yes my phone is connected via Bluetooth). Carplay does work if I plug in to the USB port. Has any one else had this issue or does any one have a solution? Thanks

I just finished installing a radar detector in a 2024 HD. Despite what the owner's manual shows--there is not a fuse box on the driver's side in my truck. I routed the wires to the passenger side fuse panel. Thanks to other members posts, I was able to find out that only the F26 fuse position was switched (retained accessory power). Micro3 fuse tap and I was done. Hope this helps to others doing this! BTW, I have the gas/Allison combo and love it (haven't towed yet) as well as the ride quality/quietness. I also love the new screen and ability to customize the lay out. Great truck.

I had a similar issue. Software update did nothing. There is something like a "video display module" that needed replacing to fix the problem. $600 to fix at the dealership

They just replaced my "display control module". Is a $400 part with $250 labor. So far, so good; but it has only been a day. If it starts acting up again, I will update this post.

Mine changes between main radio screen and preset screen. It happens randomly every 1-2 weeks (but when it does it, it does it for as long as the truck is running). I made a video when it was misbehaving and took it to the dealer. They did a software update which didn't fix it. They are now ordering some type of control module for the screen (it has not been done yet so I do not know the exact part). I have an extended warranty which is paying for the new part. There are other threads showing this type of problem, but no good solutions/resolutions are mentioned.

I just had the right front bearings in a 2017 replaced at 48,000 miles. Bad luck for me. My son has a 2014 with 130,000 and no problems

I have had three ARE tops. All have been good with remote locking. Last one was about $2300 new. I traded one truck in and was allowed extra $1000-1200 .

An update to my truck. 2017 6.2L NHT Sierra. It started shuddering after 25,000 miles (and a week of towing). First the dealer changed the fluids and I drove it 200 miles. No change in the shudder. Last week they changed the torque converter. It was at the dealer 4 days and they listed 21.5 hours of labor on the warranty claim!! It now is smooth as butter. Still an occasional clunk when cold in a parking lot (another 8 speed issue). Love my truck again.

I got the new transmission fluid and filter yesterday. On the way home there was still a little shutter (especially going uphill at 25-35 mph). This morning I didn't notice any shutter going to work. It is at least 90% better if not totally resolved. I am supposed to drive it for 200 miles--if there is still shutter I will call them back.

My truck goes in today. They say I should drive it up to 200 miles. If it still shutters, then I get a new torque converter. I will give an update after the fluid change.

A big thanks to this forum for all the information shared. I have a 6.2L NHT with the eight speed. At 25,000 miles I noticed a slight shudder (especially going uphill). Without the info of this forum I would have blown it off. I took it to my local dealer (Everett Chevy in Hickory NC). They made me drive it with Ed, the service manager (who I expected to tell me it was normal). The service manager noticed it more than me and said it was good to address it early. I am scheduled for an inspection/fluid change next week. If that doesn't fix it, then a new torque converter. Thus far a very pleasant experience with the dealer which is why I mention them by name.

Look on pages 27 and 29 of this thread. The 1" pipe clamp is in plumbing. The 3/4" rubber C clamp I found in a plastic drawer of specialty hardware. The fix works!
