  1. Dropped it off for window tint, xpel PPF and ceramic coating!
  2. Got the new hood on, all is good now and looks great. Anyone that hat has or is looking to purchase a 2019 black Silverado, check out the hood lip to the right of the drivers side head light.
  3. I bought mine from Watson in Murrysville. I’ve bought the last 4 vehicles from them. They always treat me fair and the service department takes care of me. Victor Olive is the owner, great guy.
  4. Good info, thanks for the input. It’s stuff like this that I normally don’t even pay attention to.
  5. The paint defect/hood saga continues. The sent the truck out to have the hood painted and the end product didn’t go very well. Rather than send it out again my dealer is going to pull a hood off of one of the three black trucks in stock. This is where it gets interesting. Each of the black trucks seem to have a blem on the drivers side front of the hood. Almost like where the hood was hung when it was sprayed at the factory. None of the other colors on the lot have this blem, just the black. There is one of the three that the blem is minimal and isn’t visible. I was there after hours so I haven’t brought this finding to the dealerships attention yet. I’m courious to how this will play out.
  6. cQuartz Professional, by car Pro. I’m having the Xpel PPF installed on the hood and bumper as well.
  7. No it’s not, especially with black. Ceramic coating really makes a difference though. It adds a level of hardness that the clear coat lacks.
  8. Yep, they are using PPG Waterborne clear coat.
  9. I don’t have pics but fortunately the bed liner doesn’t stick well to an un-prepped area. It comes off pretty easy.
  10. Absolutely, I didn’t have it done on my last truck and within 2 months I was repairing rock chips in my front bumper.
  11. I did not want to be the first to post in this section, however here I am. I took my truck to get an xpel and ceramic coat quote and lone and behold we found some paint defects. The worst being the hood. It looks like there was either dirt in the paint, a run or both on the front of the hood. Second is multiple areas where the bed liner material was over sprayed onto the bed side. I dropped it it off to the dealer yesterday, the entire hood is being repainted and the bed liner material is being removed. Having the hood hood repainted one week after ownership isn’t exactly ideal, but may be a blessing. The factory clear coat is now water based, which is soft. There is a good chance that the repainted hood will have a harder finish.
  12. I actually just posted in the mods, accessories are pretty hard to find unless you buy GM direct. However Xpel just released film kits.
  13. Sorry for the.ate response, but mine are dummies as well. In my High Country the one on the far left was for pedal adjustments and the one on the right was for lane assist.
  14. The way you see it is how the Trail Boss trim comes. It’s a 2 inch lift from the factory so it’s also covered under the warranty.
  15. I don’t think the realease would affect the depreciation rate. The only thing would, is the supply. If they limit the number of certain models they would hold better value. I personally chalk it up as the woes of buying a new vehicle
  16. Nope, it’s destination is a Trail Boss LT.
  17. I haven’t noticed any lag at all. Everything feels tight.
  18. Oh ok I will check when I get home and let you know if mine are blanks or not.
  19. No, power mirrors, leather seats and park assist are the only options this does not have that my High County did.
  20. 8 speed I believe, it’s very smooth. Nice acceleration.
  21. Correct, LT 275/65/18. They could be a bit bigger in my opinion.
  22. Yes, that is actually where the trailer brake controls are now.
  23. So far so good. Picked it up on Friday. Comfortable ride, drives nice. There is more leg room in the back seat than my ‘14 crew cab LTZ 1500 or ‘15 crew cab High Country 2500. Truck is 3 inches wider than the previous model too. Sunroof is also wider in proportion to the cab width. I have a few hundred miles on it and am seeing pretty good numbers. I’ve got nothing but compliments everywhere I’ve gone. 2019 Chevy TrailBoss 5.3 Motor 16.5 around town, 21 on the highway @ 70 mph. Not bad considering the OEM 2” lift and off road tires.
  24. Aluminum isn't going to rust, I'd have to agree with brake dust. Whatever you use, make sure you don't use something that is too strong (like purple power). It will turn the clear white. If you can't get it to come clean take it to the dealer, have them warranted
