  1. I assumed this was all in regards to the Silverado and Sierra since it is in this forum section.
  2. Sorry for all of the probably dumb questions but does the HUD project through the crash avoidance display? Can't imagine cutting a hole in the top of the dash..that would be a deal breaker for me. Anyone have a pic of where the switch mounts in a Tahoe? Just wondering how the switch placement would work in a Sierra given the different dash setup.
  3. Thanks. Now just need to track down the harness so we can connect everything...That seems to be the trickiest part of this.
  4. Just confirming...will this fit in a Sierra or Silverado? The part description shows Suburban/Tahoe/Escalade. Where does the unit and switch mount in a pickup with the different dash configuration? Just doing my homework first before spending the money..Thanks
  5. Does anyone have the part #'s for the HUD unit and wiring needed? I'm sending my cluster in to get programmed on Monday. 2017 Sierra Denali. Thanks
  6. I put these on my black 2016 Denali and also my white 2017. 22" OEM Replica wheels. Basically a Tahoe/Suburban LTZ wheel except chrome with black inserts in every other opening. Been very pleased with them and a set can be had for about $900.00..
  7. I've yet to have a dealer charge me for this service.
  8. So all new trucks will have the exact same issues? I guess I'm missing your point in using this cliche phrase.
  9. Thanks AMX...That's basically what I was asking. I have never ever torqued the wheels and have never had an issue with balance, warped rotors or a wheel coming off but started to wonder after seeing some threads discussing the importance of proper torque. I suppose the manufacturer puts it in the manual to cover their butt for the guy that installs the wheels finger tight compounded by not alternating the order. Thanks to everyone's feedback on this, I'm actually going to check the torque on my wheels after I rotate them and tighten the old fashion way just to see how far off I really am.
  10. So it seems getting the lugs too tight is more of an issue than people not tightening enough. If they have been over tightened thus stretching the studs and possibly warping rotors, is the damage already done? Is there any reason after the fact to go back, loosen and re torque?
  11. I saw a post the other day talking about the lug nut torque specs and it has had me thinking..Is it really a big deal? I know they need to be tight enough so a wheel doesn't fly off but is there more to it than that? I have changed wheels several times over the years and have never had an issue not putting a torque wrench to the lugs. I personally haven't witnessed a tire shop do it either...So help me understand if there is a good reason to torque exactly to the recommended number or is it enough to make sure they are tight. Is using the impact wrench too much or not enough? Thanks
  12. I think something has changed or been "fixed" on the 2017's. My 2017 has been flawless so far..not one shake, shudder or slam between gears like my 2016 had...It is literally the smoothest shifting trans I have driven, not kidding. Hopefully it stays this way (1100 miles now). It has shifted great since day 1, no "learning curve" needed. Time will tell..but I'm very pleased so far.
  13. He said no in an earlier response to someone else that asked.
  14. Chrome 22's with matte black inserts. Bridgestone Dueller A/T's
  15. How do those tires ride compared to the oem set? Comfort and noise level?
  16. I didn't like mine at first...It has 3000 miles on it now (6.2 8spd) and now that it seems to have "learned" I'm actually really liking it.
  17. They are replica 22" wheels similar to what is used on the tahoe and suburban LTZ's.
  18. Ahh..see that now, the reverse view helped..Looks great!
  19. Welcome..Looks great but what changed in the before and after?
  20. Yes it is...Blizzard power wing, works awesome.
  21. 3500 LTZ. Wheels are Worx Beast PVD with Nitto Terra Grapplers 305/55/20
  22. Could this be related to the aero dynamics of the roof? Our last (09 Denali XL) had no noise at all but from time to time I would tow a buddy's enclosed trailer and that would cause an extreme buffeting noise around 40 mph. I could tow other trailers with no noise what so ever. Just has me thinking that if all of the new trucks do this perhaps there is something aerodynamically with the roof line that is causing this?
  23. Its happened to me twice on my 2015 HD. "Service Theft System". I had to remove the keys and open door to reset. It has happened twice. I wonder if its due to the key being new and not 'broken in' to the cylinder?
