  1. You do realize that these exhausts are tuned....as in frequency tuned... Just adding a valve more than likely will not stop the drone.... Notice the valve being before the muffler on the GMPP Borla... There is a reason there is a bypass pipe.... The stock muffler valve is in my opinion to blowout excess back pressure at startup...
  2. Actually the cnc grid is pretty sharp and has excellent grip...unless your wearing a shoe made of metal.
  3. Installed custom cnc billet pedal set.
  4. SO....my truck has been in the shop the last 2 days. I have a loaner truck and I thought I was losing my mind when I first got on the highway with the loaner. It drove exactly the same at the 74-84 mph bracket. I started to think I was just nuts, and had second thoughts about dropping my truck off, because I REALLY dont like others playing around and driving my vehicle once I purchase it. Anyways, they have not been able to figure it out yet.....I had the oem wheels and tires roadforced balance by a local tiure specialist using the GSP9700 hunter, and the results were all single digits. The truck drove alot better than when I picked it up, and I would say it drove as good as with my Black Rhinos on it. But the shake was still there.....I did this because I wanted to rule out anyone saying "it's the aftermarket wheels" as was told to me before. The dealership put another set of wheels on the vehicle, and it was still the same, although they did try to say that one of the tires had runout and needed to be replaced, even though the documentation I provided them from the roadforce had that same wheel/tire at .001 tolerance. I mentioned to the service rep that the loaner truck drives the same way as my Denali, and it truly puzzled him, so he went and drove another truck off the lot, and guess what...it drove the same way....they all have a little shake in them....needless to say, they are at this point trying to figure out what to do next...... ...I did mention new driveshaft / drivetrain balance / R&P...... ...so here I am on day three hoping my truck doesn't aquire any damage/scratches since I left it with them in mint....I mean mint condition.... ...this is what you find when you actually inspect your vehicle after someone else (who oh by the way probably doesn't care...its not theirs....and they drive a volkswagon....) has your vehicle in their possession. (picture attached) .....no offense to the volkswagon....
  5. I believe it has something to do with backpressure. I think they calculated the exhaust pressure needed in order to open the valve in V8 mode, and when in V4 mode it closes and forces the exhaust around through the smaller pipe which maybe allows the pressure to be maintained within the down pipe reducing the drone. Just a thought.......not exact science or engineering on my part.....
  6. Here is the picture as promised.
  7. Yes it does, and I will have to post a picture later. I have zero drone. I had a flowmaster super50 on prior to this, and the drone was very minimal, could barely notice it. Now I have none at all.

  9. Yes, concur. HMMWV, MATV, LMTV, are different, but fundementals are not (and not all motor sergeants are the same, but this one is still building/rebuilding boats, cars, and trucks and can troubleshoot like the best of them). The wheels/tires he was talking about are LPO wheels from GM. Mine came with LPO wheels and bridgestones (LPO's are lug centric). That is what the common factor is. I had mine roadforced at a reputable tire shop where all they do is tires, and they have the best machine in the business of roadforce balancing (Hunter Road Force GSP9700). When you get numbers like 10/12/12/12 then your talking about tires not being round on a microscopic level, the wheels and tires are as round as round can be. The shake I am getting, and most others, is enough to make the back end of my truck seem as if its going to come off. When looking through my rearview it looks like my snugtop lid is coming off. To have a shake like what I am experiencing is a whole other issue. You should be able to see the wheel/tires movement if its the culprit. Visual first, next would be answer why the wheel/tire combination is only out of round at a certain speed segment (73-85 for me).....In the case of the Yukon, it could very well be a bad mount/balance, but with a lug centric wheel you would definately be able to see that its not balanced. (No sarcasm added). Mine is going into the shop this coming Tuesday, and they are providing me a 2014 SLT crew cab until they figure out what's going on. Or at least I will get to drive a vehicle that does not shake/vibrate.....hopefully..... Anyways, my point is that just changing the wheels/tires could exagerate an issue that was earlier hidden. In many cases posted on here, both GM and bystanders are pointing to the easiest thing to point at. Blame the wheel/tire package added. When in fact the wheel tire package came from the same place you got the truck. If the truck is so sensative that just changing the wheel/tire package could screw up your whole vehicle, then why have the option. If the truck is that sensative to change, just wait until it changes 10 degrees outside and your going to have other issues. The list goes on and on, but the reality is that there is something wrong, and roadforce balancing 2 or three times isn't going to change the problem when it's not the easiest thing to blame the issue on. I have sat back on this forum and just read the reply's and not put too much input in. But, yesterday I just had to post a statement because it's just not a good idea to arm-chair quarterback an issue when you don't have all the facts or haven't done the research as to the exact case involved. BTW, both my friend and I are 21+ year US Army retiree's and would like to say to you....Thanks for your Service!
  10. So if the truck you ordered arrives with LPO 22" wheels and there is a vibration issue, the issue is the wheels/tires? Even if they are road forced balanced? Then you replace the wheels and tires with a higher quality (cost twice as much) wheel/tire package with hubcentric spacers that road force balance at 10/12/12/12 and the vibration/shake still continues. It's still the wheels/tires? But only most of the time, not all of the time....I have gone as far as having my best buddy driving alongside me on the highway (23 years as an Army Motor Sergeant) in order to conduct a visual inspection. Nothing shows that its out of balance or round....go figure....(stated with sarcasm)................ "If you don't have anything helpful to add, keep your typing to a minimum." 11. Sorry it took me a bit to upload the pictures. Here they are.
  12. No problem . Will post the hinge setup this evening when I get home.
  13. SNUGLID SL ....... still need to heatgun off the logo decal.
  14. Not NBC, nobody will see it. I believe I am having the same issue. Have yet another appointment Thursday for the recall and to check this out. Went to a local Chevrolet dealer and they drove it. Said it seems to drive just fine. Seat shaking at 78 mph fine. 3 Sets of Wheels 2 Road Force Balances via Road Force Hunter GSP9700 (So I am pretty sure its not wheel/tire issues with 12/12/12/10) Tracks straight as an arrow
  15. Black Rhino Letaba's (MATTE BLACK) with Bridgestone Dueler's 285/45R22 (CURRENTLY) (PREVIOUSLY) Black Rhino Letaba's (Black with Chrome Lip)(Released April 2014)
  16. Ordered it in February, picked it up in April. Snuglid SL will be installed this week.
