If you like the Tahoe that much, I'm sure you can find a credible shop willing to install a set for less than 10K.

Growing up in south Georgia, anything more than a bowie knife and a pit bull was unacceptable boar hunting behavior.

Man it has to be a lot of lipstick on that truck to be at least 5 yrs old with 19K miles. Some of the issues in the previous posts were not the bulk of the problems with that year, most of the conversation dealt with some form of buffeting, pressure, shaking, and vibration. There was a lot of conversation from the same folks about those issues and if you were an owner with any of those issues, most got rid of the truck. If the truck was bought from an older owner, maybe the 19K miles at that age could be believable it might not have any major issues. But buying that truck from other than a major dealership or older owner, I would be skeptical. Personally I would not have bought the truck. Now don't get me wrong, I have Tahoe LT and never had any transmission, suspension, mechanical, or any engine issues and my truck is over 6 yrs old (bought Feb 2014). I've had a couple of aesthetic things go wrong. My truck is actually the best new vehicle I have ever owned. So you might get lucky and the truck could have come off the assembly line next to mine. But 19K at 5yrs from a non-dealer or older owner, make sure you read the posts on this forum that dealt with the bolded items above.

Funny post. I wanted to see if that new test would work with Cognac, it does. Didn't wake with a headache, so I had to repeat as necessary.

I am no means an expert with Go Pro's, but I bought a Go Pro Hero 4 model a couple yrs back to use while the wife an I go power Biking. For how I use the camera, it is good as advertised. My shots are mostly motion, but the camera will work fine for what you want to use it for. I bought a separate mounting kit off Ebay which had straps for the helmet, handle bars, wrist, chest, dash, and glass. The kit also had extensions and a waterproof case. I have a backyard pond and tried the waterproof case. Extended the camera down about 4ft, the shots of the fish were amazing. I think they have Hero 8's out now, probably twice as good as my Hero 4 and double the resolution.

I resemble that 70's crowd. The only way you find that bike now is through American Pickers. Regardless of how you cut it, a single covid non-compliance event throughout the country combined at one location can't end up well.

Everything opposite of covid compliance we have been seeing across the country wrapped into one location, Sturgis. Crowded bars and campsites, no masks, concerts, touching. 60% of the town residents didn't want the event to happen, city council disagreed. Didn't matter if 100% of the town disagreed, a town that size is not going to stop that many bikes from rolling through. Could be worse, read the crowd is projected down from 500,000 to 100,000.

That's roughly 33 "city employees" north and southbound, three shifts, 24/7, one bridge. If any city can do it, why not NY. That state took the virus serious in the beginning and is still looking at it the same way. Someone mentioned earlier about crime in the city. Although this will be manpower intensive, I don't think there will be a change in criminal response. These are not terrorist or criminal checkpoints. A traffic cop should be available if needed, but if they do it right, any designated city employee can conduct state verification checks. DMV employees comes to mind.

They have been talking locally about the numbers count in Ca for a few days now, the count has been frozen until they can get it right. As for the checkpoints in NYC, we mentioned this a number of pages back. If this checkpoint is on a road or major highway, this will be very manpower intensive if a 24/7 operation. If not 24/7, why do it?

Saw the result of a study on the evening news conducted in Pennsylvania, NY, Florida, California, and a couple other states. The team swabbed arm chairs, lobby doors, pin pads, mail, packages, and some other things and sent the swabs in to be tested for the covid virus. The results were reassuring that they didn't find any positive results in California and Pennsylvania. NY had a small percentage of hits in the subway. The most hits were in Miami, where they found 20% of the testing was positive for the virus , still small percentage. This could suggest the virus may live shorter on surfaces than reported or folks are doing a heck of a cleaning job. Good to know but still doesn't change anything I'm doing.

With the government fast-tracking a vaccine from so many suppliers, a lot of folks I know will be hesitant to be the canary in the coal mine. Folks tell me they believe the government have the economy versus their safety at heart and will not be willing to take the first vaccine from a company that was in it to win a race rather than get it right. Good vaccine or not, folks will probably take it with the same percentages as a flu shot.

Listening to the late LA news, they reported predictions of 11,000 deaths per week in the US for the month of August. That's an increase of about 800 per week from July.

I'm not a statistics guy, but the explanation and graph makes sense to me. The answer to the question above is NO.

One county opens, next county closes in part, next county closes in full, one state opens, one state closes, etc, etc. Regardless of which side of the fence you are on, shut it all down or reopen everything, neither will work. America doesn't have a unified plan to do either. Whatever you believe is the right thing to do, press on. At this point in the game, nobody's opinion will change unless death affects them personally, primarily if that death is a son, daughter, wife, or husband.

Individual sports like golf and tennis will probably be competitive, but team sports like basketball, baseball, and football is a wash for me. The champion will be the team with the most players left standing. I feel this way about school, attendance will be in the classroom as long as the staff can stay healthy. Heard on the news that senior staff members in the high risk category are retiring.

LA county daily covid brief reported in the past month, hospitalizations for the age group from 0 to 17 increased 50%, the age group from 65+ decreased 12%. That's a flip, 65+ has been in the crosshairs for a while.

Quarantine at home is safer than going out in public, well that's what the experts are saying. As for my situation I agree, but I read a study that said a person is five times as likely to get the virus at home. I can believe it if social distancing, masks, and hand washing is the rule of law for the virus because that's not going to happen at home. Maybe increased hand washing. Also, the rate of infection at home was highest between the ages of 10 and 19. The house for me is the safer bet. If it wasn't for monthly meds, we could dive and not come up for air for at least 3 months.

Probably could work for sterilization as long as they stayed away from food aisles. Saw on the news that drones are being used to sterilize outdoor stadiums in a few hours. They could probably outfit a crop duster and do that in minutes.
