  1. Can't spot them with your eyes, that would be prejudiced (which is a lie itself). So what's in the heart comes out of the mouth, I spot them with my ears.
  2. I believe we do, but a lifestyle of truth in an exposed society is too hard. But as you mentioned something similar in another post, life is an easier existence for those living a lie. I also believe man was not created to tell a lie (failed that test) and don't see any chance of ever getting back to that point. There may be a "man" that could get close, but that existence would have to be totally cut off from other societies and technology that don't enhance survival. If life could be lived inside a "bubble" and dependent only on what you know, easy to survive in truth. A lie would only degrade your quality of life.
  3. Yes, insider info. The frozen tundra is part of GB's schemes. GB coaches constantly check the hardness of the terrain to ensure they get the right size spikes. Usually GB have a 1st half advantage because the other team is not sure of their footing. By time they figure it out, the game is uphill for the other team.
  4. There's really not a great running game in any of the 4 teams that are left. The guys on the D line need to be faster than bigger. You just need to be good enough with the run for your RPO to work. KC with Mahommes, very likely win. KC with Henne, possible win. KC without Andy Reid's brain, a loss.
  5. Man, these guys you mentioned are both classic and classy. There are a few mid 70's guys in this group, but most of them played from late 50's to late 60's. I'm pretty savvy with all sports, specifically into the art of it. With 22 active position guys on the field, that is a lot of art. Part of that art is coaching scheme, talent, wisdom, experience, dome play, and then there is the frozen tundra. As for Alex Smith, I'll just say grit. But he needs to retire based on the injury he sustain a yr or so ago. His style at quarterback is a disadvantage today. He's a pocket QB, you are a liability today if you are not an experienced, wise, savvy pocket QB. The guys coming in to bash your head are bigger, stronger, faster and that's just based off talent. Throw in a scheme and you are toast. The best pocket QBs in the game today; Rivers, Brady, Brees, Big Ben, Ryan, Rogers. Out of this list, Rogers should be the only one playing because he has a scramble along with his pocket presence. Scramble doesn't mean a run like some of the younger QBs do. Rogers got this figure 8 scramble move around the tackle and guard, sweet.
  6. If neither of the 4 teams left lose anymore players, KC and GB makes the Superbowl. KC without Mahommes can take NY. It’s all about the coach. Always did like Andy Reid, especially when he coached the Eagles. Reid is very unpredictable and hard to gauge. I think he’s too much for NY. As for the Packers, I followed them since Bart Starr and Lombardi. The team, offense and defense has finally elevated their game to the level of Rogers. Rogers is my favorite player, prior to him Favre. I follow Packers today as a default because of the player. Although I am enjoying watching team play based on the improved intelligence of O and D. Add playing on the tundra and Rogers playing at the MVP level, I believe they will be too much for Tampa. Tampa will have flashbacks of the game earlier in the year, but hopefully Brady has put playing in the cold in the rear view. KC and GB in the Superbowl, the game will be fun, two side-arm gunslingers. Rogers will prove to be too much of an experienced gunslinger for Reid. Then again, it’s just a ball game. If the Bucs and Bills make the big game, I like Bills. But definite big game GOAT advantage Bucs.
  7. These trucks are nice. Strip down the lights and grille and it looks just like my Tahoe. Build it back up, it's not twice the worth of my Tahoe. There is no way there it's a 56K difference once you put the lights and grille back on. Ok, maybe throw on some designer leather, designer speakers, ...
  8. Not being funny, how old are you? Back in the day this was called "full service". This is not unusual across the country, I know they also do this in Oregon. I told the guy don't perpetrate full service, if you're going to do it you might as well do it right. Check the fluid levels, tire pressure, hoses, and clean the windshield. Or else I'll be looking for a discount.
  9. I noticed that too. Not all mail though, just some. I know the new Post Master General made changes last year around August or so, don't know if that has something to do with it. Never noticed mail ever being this late, I have a package already 15 days over the delivery date.
  10. I read what you wrote, but don't click on untrusted links. Subject got off track for a minute, I have no more comments about rocket launches.
  11. As a member of a Launch Disaster Control Group (LDCG), you are on the ground in close proximity to a rocket launch. I have been a member of the LDCG for over 300 rocket and missile launches. In the best year of the Western Range, there was no more than 3 launches per month. You watching 1000 launches from the Western range is inaccurate. That's an average of 83 per month, not possible.
  12. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is the Eastern Range launching into a different orbit than the Western Range. He said he remember watching these launches from the West Coast. There is no way he could see these KSC launches from LA?
  13. In the last 30 yrs, launches from the Western Range have never been more than 36 per year, 20 of which had nothing to do with satellites. Your information source is grossly inaccurate. During my glory days, I was a member of a rocket launch Disaster Control Group.
  14. A troop being "fresh" is a Cold War concept which is more effective today with all the technology. This is not an even or, technology will keep a troop fresh whether military command structure knows it or not. Troop numbers have downsized a bit because of technology, but won't be replaced because of technology. Hollywood is the only place technology doesn't need a troop on the battlefield. In the real world, human intelligence can't be replaced. Although, it would be nice to have an android like "Data" (Star Trek Next Gen) working next to me.
  15. Any technology that has the capability of doing grunt work for the troops is good, keeps them fresh. Wish AI was around when I was digging foxholes. Determining what's hostile or not is another story. If AI gets to that point, it better be equipped with a self-destruct button.
  16. You may want to post the same message on the Sequoia forum to get an honest assessment, then make your comparison. As for third row seating in the Tahoe while owning the previous 3 generations, the third row is not designed for an adult. The new gen may have more third row leg room, but it would have to increase at least a foot from the previous gens to be comfortable for a small adult.
  17. I'm sure that suspension is proven on exotic and performance sport cars in general. However, I think the jury is still out with that type of suspension on a truck the weight of a GM Fullsize SUV. In time, more research and enhancements in the technology may show that type of suspension could be better for the heavier, non-performance type vehicles.
  18. She needed a "professor", not a doctor.
  19. Some point in time I may need to service the suspension, probably not at the cost of the Magnetic ride. But similar to the Magnetic, my ride is also smooth. I don't believe there is "air" associated with Premium ride, but the ride is too bouncy when hitting dips or bumps at 75+ speeds. I'll never like the suspension, but adjusted to it.
  20. Back in 2014 when I bought my truck, they came with 2 suspensions. Magnetic and Premium rides. My truck came with the Premium ride and almost 7 yrs later, it still rides the same way.
  21. I know you've read about the paint on the the earlier year Tahoe models, same generation. It will get worse, have you looked at the roof? It's gonna cost me 2Gs to get my hood and roof painted.
  22. Born and raised in the deep south, never lived above the Mason-Dixon. Dealing with this stuff would be totally Greek to me. Don't know the first thing about managing in the snow. Now a heavy rain, thunderstorm, hurricane, bring it on. Pretty set with my schedule and routine, other than less visits to the hardware and auto parts store, covid 19 didn't really spare me any time. I have a couple of pit bulls that are benefitting from more time at the house, but there are a ton of things about the house that keep me busy. Right now, I live in an area in which we would be unlucky if temps fell below 35 and rose above 65, year 'round. No snow, ice, or rain, 365 sun. Therefore things like plumbing, electrical, painting, landscaping, auto work, are continuously in the schedule, regardless of what's going on.
  23. The wire is about 2ft, but is goes from the battery to the chassis. From the battery, down the shroud and radiator, onto the chassis, behind the bumper. All on the driver side (battery/shroud/radiator/bumper/chassis). Didn't get on the ground to get the exact location, being over 60 anything I can't get to from the top or on a lift I don't too much bother with. Look at the picture of my truck, eyeball a line between the outside of the grill and the inside of the headlights, straight down to the bottom of the chrome bumper. The wire is connected on the chassis behind the bumper.
  24. Excellent question, I was thinking this when I posted my previous message. I'll check my truck when I'm back in pocket in a couple of days, let you know. In the meantime, type your question into you-tube to see what shows up.
  25. What would you do if one of your 250 employees came to you with the same safety issue on one of your 12 fleet vehicles? You wouldn't want them to appear it was picky and not care about little things. You should want them to have the time to complain because they just want a safe vehicle to work in. I suspect you want the best for your employees, just as you would for your family. The moral of this post, take the Tahoe to the shop, get a rental vehicle, and replace the truck if they can’t fix it.
