Just curious as I live locally here. Do you do installs on the side if I were to buy the needed parts? Would love this upgrade but don’t have enough faith I would not mess something up on my brand new 2020 Sierra 1500 elevation, this feature is the only one I couldn’t get when I purchased that I really wanted.

...Ouch. What’s the current lead time for the parts?

Ok thanks. So what is the cost of the whole thing (GM mirrors, harness, replacement switch (unless I’m missing a part). Do you have a complete kit price? -matt

Pgamboa- I think I may have messaged you a while back about this same thing but couldn’t locate the message. Sorry if it’s repetitive. i have a 2018 Silverado 1500 lt z71 with the DL8 mirrors. I want the tow mirrors with all the functions (including power fold). Does your complete harness provide all that functionality? If so, could you link me to the mirrors i’d Need to purchase? I was hoping to get ones with smoked forward facing Markers in black (not chrome). Also, do you have any experience with boost auto parts? They sell a tow mirror with all the functions plus a switchback style led instead of the standard Amber forward facing led marker. Was curious if your harness would work with that specific mirror? any guidance is appreciated. -matt

Bought a Range AFM disabler
RadoRage replied to Hoginedgewood's topic in Modifications & Accessories
So does this thing still have problems throwing trouble codes on the 2017s? I am interested in one but I have a 2017 Sierra 1500 with the flew 5.3 v8 a heard stories of people constantly dealing with check engine light coming on. -
Heated steering wheel
RadoRage replied to Dennisfiremanny's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
I have the 2017 base Sierra w/ elevation pkg so steering wheel is non leather and only have cruise controls. Really miss the leather wheel so I’m curious if there is a higher trim level that has the leather with only cruise controls? Is it possible to easily swap them to get the leather? -
So, I have a 4.5 in zone lift on my 2017 Sierra 1500. Currently using the spacers that were in the kit but would like to upgrade to fox coil overs or another like brand. All I seem to find are the coil overs that fit a 0-2” lift or 0-3” lift. Does anyone know if a coil over is made that will work on a 4.5 inch lift without the need of a spacer? Part number? thinking about maybe bumping up to a 6-6.5” as well so if you know of and that work at that height as well it’d be appreciated.

That color and those wheels....beautiful. -
Quick question... I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere but I want to do a low cost exhaust (cut out stock muffler and install new). I dont know much about the dos and dont but can I revert to stock after doing that? If I have a shop cut out the stock parts (muffler and flapper valve) and install a new muffler/straight pipe filler can the stock parts be welded back in pretty easily? Noticeable change in tone when reverting back to stock? Curious because I dont want to be stuck if the drone noise is really bad and I'm not ready for a tune (still have factory warranty left).

Im sure this has been answered but I cant find it in the search and just want confirmation I understood the write up at the beginning before I start buying stuff. I have a 2017 Sierra 1500 base model elevation. My mirrors are power adjust only (Im in Houston so I doubt they have heat) so I do not think I have an official upgrade option. All I want is to replace them with the black smoked lense style tow mirrors and retain my power adjust and add turn signals to them both (puddle light would be a bonus if possible). Do I just need a custom harness or is mine too basic to upgrade? If possible to upgrade, do I have to buy the oem tow mirrors or is there a good aftermarket set that will provide the functionality I want at a more reasonable price? Any insight is appreciated.

Nah...I think it just looks like it fits better because of the angle of the photo. If you zoom in on the right you can see the same separation. I have a dark slate metallic 2017 Sierra and I bet it would be a lot better looking when seen up close due to the darker color grille and hood. If this mod catches on I could see a company selling an OEM style grille surround that solves the issue by extending the top portion of the grille back a 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Silvarado 1500 Zone 4.5" / 6.5" lift pictures
RadoRage replied to jroyston13's topic in Modifications & Accessories
Wait, is this really true?? I would have figured the crossmember or something would have been taller on the 6.5 compared to the 4.5. If true I am definitely going with the 4.5" zone now and keeping my 33" toyo r/t's. Once those wear out I can bump up the lift and get 35" tires if I want more lift down the road. Anyone else know about this or research this? Didn't see a conversion kit on the zone site. Sent them an email for confirmation but will probably take a while for a response. -
Ok, so I've been skimming through this thread looking for an answer to this question but have not seen it yet. Does anyone have any experience with a 6-6.5" lift with 20" wheels and 33x12.5 tires? I bought 33" toyo RT tires a couple months ago thinking I'd be happy with the level lift but am moving forward with a zone lift now. I was going to get the 4.5" lift but now think I may like the height of the 6.5". I really just want to make sure the 33" tires will look ok on the 6.5 until I am ready to buy 35" tires. Does anyone have pics of the 6 or 6.5" lift with 33" tires on these 2014 and up 1500s? I can't seem to find any on here or elsewhere.

Figured I'd throw up a few pics of my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 dbl cab with level lift, 20x9s, and 33x12.5 toyo r/t tires. Reused the ready lift 2.25 from my 2014 silverado on this so I could buy the wheels and tires I wanted now. Plan on bumping up to a 4" lift in the next 6 months or so. What type of rails are those? Are the pieces that touch the bed rails oversized? Curious about fitment with by bakflip g2 cover. -
Popping sound from rear end
RadoRage replied to WJones8725's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
It's funny you mention this. I've had my 2014 Silverado 1500 dbl cab (lt tx edition 2wd) since July of 2014. No issues really until about 2 months ago when I first noticed it. Now whenever I go over a speed bump or a driveway at an angle I hear a metal to metal noise sorta like a popping noise. Not sure what it is but I plan on letting the dealer look at it in a week or two when I get my next oil change. Mine only happens when going over a ramp or speed bump at an angle and sometimes I can faintly hear it when I climb up the side of the bed or get in the cab in the am. Going Head on over a speed bump and it's as quiet as the day I bought it. Pretty strange. Also, I mentioned this to a coworker last week who has a 2014 crew cab Silverado 1500 high country (2wd) and he said he's had the same thing happen for a month or so now. -
Those tires do look good.

Tungsten Metallic paint fans

What did they do as far as prep for spraying on chrome? Or did they use work truck parts? -

Do you work at rock bottom customs here in Houston? If so, how much do they charge to paint match the chrome grille and headlight surround on a black 2014 silverado dbl cab? I eventually want to do the chrome bumper front/back but figured the grille and headlights would be a start.
