  2. Hey everyone, hoping someone can help, I am looking at buying an 07.5 Duramax vin 1GCHK23677F501774. The truck has 200k+ miles on it, which is common here in Montana, but looks really well maintained. Of course the current owner states that injectors were done but does not have any receipts. I am wondering if anyone has access to a service record lookup and see what they can find on this truck that has been replaced? Thanks!
  3. It is knocking horribly bad, beyond any further draining and refilling to fix. As I stated earlier I left everything uncapped overnight to try and dry it out after finding fuel in the cylinder. I agree that the pump would have shut off and it would have eventually stopped dripping, however in the few days between starting the vehicle I did have the key on and off multiple times while checking other items. The day I cranked it over after siting it did seem to crank when it froze. I at that time turned the key over a couple different times as well. I assume the multiple key turns, full gas tank, and no place for the gas to go eventually washed the oil off the pistons, started leaking past that and draining down. I am no master tech to determine the exact damage once dissasembled. Just know my motor ran perfect before the fuel injectors, and is now worthless. I spoke to the seller injectordyne on ebay, his previous name was fireball injectors but it appears changed after multiple bad reviews as you can see with a simple google search. He basically told me to go pound sand this morning, and rambled on about how there is no way it could have leaked that much etc etc, eventually stating injectors fail all the time and engines are tough, whatever that is supposed to mean. Just devastated. Pursuing legal avenues isn't cheap but I feel I have no other option and simply can't just let this slide. How many other people will ruin motors with this same issue. If he did as advertised, there is no way I would have received a leaky or corroded injector.
  4. Upon researching I also see that a buyer had this happen to him in 2005, but was told on another forum he was s.o.l. Same seller of same injector type.
  5. Looking for some advice from anyone on what they think I should do. About a month ago I decided my 2005 Yukon Denali LQ4 was getting pulled into the garage for some major maintenance, as I needed to replace the faulty oil pressure sending unit anyways, and planned on removing the intake manifold. My denali has 265k miles on it. The parts I ended up replacing included intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires, and fuel injectors. After some research I settled on some injectors from ebay that were refurbished oem. Long story short I put everything together, and had the wife fire it up. I inspected from the outside and let the denali run for a couple minutes and shut it down. It smoked lightly while running, but I assumed the new oil change, new parts, and the general cleaning of everything while off was simply cleaning it out while running. I let the denali sit for a few days until I could get back to it, as I was busy at work and figured it wouldn't hurt for it to sit a day or two for everything to seal. A few days later I went out to start it, it cranked a few times and then locked up while cranking. My throat sunk. I pulled the plugs and in cylinder 4 gas drained out of at least a few ounces I would think. I hand cranked the motor over and it shot out a rather large amount again while doing so, the motor was filled with gas. Of course my first thought was a leaking fuel injector. Upon pulling the fuel rail I could immediately see that injector on cylinder 4 was leaking horribly internally. You can see this in the video below. I of course at this point put some brand new delphi injectors in, dumped the oil and let it drain overnight of course with filter off and a new filter as well. Upon draining I captured well over 7 quarts of fluid, thin gas filled oil. Filled up oil and new filter, attached fuel rail and started it up and it is knocking like crazy. I assume cylinder is washed and I lost something inside, either a bearing or lord knows what else. I am really bummed, I don't make a ton of money by any means, and live month to month which is why I spend the time to do my own repairs. I am also lucky enough to have a company vehicle to be able to take the time and do repairs without being rushed. This injector which was advertised to be "professionally cleaned and tested and warrantied for 5 years." My nice 2nd owner highly maintained denali is now dead in the street, my wife is very bummed this holiday season. Long story short the injector ruined my vehicle. I now have a ruined motor and feel this faulty part was the problem. I was worried about the injectors initially as they had some corrosion on the connectors, contacted the seller and he refunded my money. I took the time to eraser clean the connections before installing. Do I have any recourse from ebay or the seller? Has anyone ever had anything like this happen? What would you do? I haven't yet contacted the seller on ebay, figuring I would first gather some opinions. Thanks in advance.
  6. Yes, I actually picked up knock sensors and harness from ebay pretty dang cheap, really impressed with the plug wires I received from the bay as well, great price and look quality. I guess I would rather just get it all done in one swoop while I am in there, don't mind spending money on parts if they will eventually need it anyways. I will check into the cam position sensor while I am there.

  9. Hi all, I have a recently purchased 05 denali xl with the 6.0. I broke the oil pressure sending unit upon replacement, and am planning on replacing the intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets as I am removing the intake manifold and have gunk buildup around the valve covers. Motor has 265k miles on it, runs great. Wondering while I am in this deep if there is anything else I should consider? Thanks all!

No emissions from the factory to deal with, and considered to be the best model of duramax ever made. This is a very clean truck, I looked long and hard to find this, and it is my 3rd lbz GM truck. No leaks no drips no check engine lights nothing. Ready for anything and will last forever, I see these trucks on the forums over a half million miles getting beat on daily and running forever, this has been babied. Yes I am asking over book and considering offers, please realize this truck has had a lot more than the average truck has had put into it. Really like buying a brand new truck with everything completely done. Truck is awesome all around. The front seats are showing light wear but no rips, rears and rest of interior looks like new. A couple light paint chips on the front bumper, and I have all factory touch up paints. That's it for imperfections. THIS TRUCK IS CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. I hate selling, however this truck is such a garage queen it makes it hard for me to justify keeping. I started a new position shortly after purchasing the truck and have a work vehicle I use the marjority of the time. The truck is only used for weekend soccer interstate trips etc. I am the 3rd owner, first was in california and second was in billings and was an oil worker, and it was a garage queen its life. I purchased the truck and did extensive upgrades and reliability modifications to make it the perfect truck in my eyes. I have spent thousands in upgrades and countless hours and extensive labor charges to get the truck to where it is today. This will make someone a reliable powerful vehicle for many years to come with everything done. Always ran premium diesel and Stanadyne with every fillup. Truck is fully loaded slt model, every available option except leaking sunroof. Bose stereo, power heated leather etc etc. I will do my best to list everything I can think of about the truck. I am sure I will miss much as so much has been done it is hard to even remember it all. Everything was done with reliability in mind first, and performance second. I have most of the stock parts as well that have been removed. Upgrades and performance modifications... Allison deep transmission pan and new gasket with all new filters. Transgo jr shift kit. Fleece all on module Duramax store transmission cooler line kit upgrade (replaces notorious oem leaking lines) Professionally installed rough country 3" lift kit, including new steering stabilizer, 4 new shocks, new rear block, new upper control arms with better angle for ball joint lift, new torsion keys. Also did new pitman and idler arm at this time and full alignment. 16" XD wheels with 33" Cooper AT3 tires, maybe 5k miles on tires. If you are not familiar with efi live tuning take some time to read up on google, it is amazing what it does for these trucks and Idaho Rob is considered among the best tuners in the business. Truck was tuned after all modifications were completed and comes with 5 tunes that are able to be shifted on the fly with the dsp 5 switch mounted in the cigarette lighter spot and is tuned for the transmission with shift kit. Tunes range from optimized stock, tow tune with turbo tow brake, 90hp eco, 120 street, and 150 hot race, and are changeable simply by turning the switch from positions 1 through 5. I have used the tow tune and the eco tune primarily, as I get older I enjoy cruising more than speeding. The truck does have the ability to really pull however in the higher tunes. Very clean tuning with almost no smoke except in tune 5 where it will smoke a little when getting after it. Truck has not been rodded, adult owned and driven always. Maintenance items completed... All completed within the last 6 months. Repeat drain and fills of both differentials with 500k mile synthetic delo dif fluid.   14. Rough Country 2.5" leveling kit with the rear 2" spacer swapped for the stock block spacer. Fuel Maverick 20x9 +1 wrapped in bf goodrich ko2 in a 275/60-20. Love the look overall, the tires look amazing in person. I do still surprisingly slightly rub in reverse only at full lock. Haven't heard it going forward. Again, night and day difference and I love the look of the truck now. Offset is where I wanted it. Stock. To 2013 sierra wheels in the midterm, to the current setup. Seems to ride just a bit bouncier than stock, but nothing bad, I am still on the stock rancho's. In montana the stock chromes where awesome when clean, but hard to keep clean.
