  1. Thanks for the response guys, but what I meant for the regulated voltages are thr fact that any where I measure under the steering wheel is constantly 11.8 to 11.9. Nothing above 12 This makes me think that all the voltages goes through to any components has been protected to prevent over power. But battery will go as hgh as 14.5. So why not take advantage of the regulated safer voltage instead the kits advise to use power directly from battery. My HID kit never asked or needed a relay and it works just fine. Still, i would like to know if anyone did not use a relay for theur HID kits, especially if it was a 55w kit
  2. So I was discussing with Mike1220, and I have noticed that my 35w HID kit never needed a relay harness. My connection goes like this: stock power -> Ballast (Hylux) -> HID bulb Noticed, I dont have relay, and nothing goes directly to the battery. Anyone with 55W HIDs that did not use a relay? From my experience, hooking up anything directly to the unregulated power source is always a bad idea, and I was surprised that so many of the kits asks the user to use them. I am hoping the ballast has some sort of protection.... Many has: stock power -> relay harness -> ballast -> HID bulb
  3. Some places give you a higher rate when they think you have no idea what it should cost to do certain things in automotive. This has been a trend and done to female almost all the time. Yeap, as soon as the level is done, that is coming off. It looks funny when not level to me i think.
  4. $875 CAD + tax all in, I am sure it is a 2.25" level in the front from Ready-Lift, anyone had ready-lift done? hows the quality? advertised to be the same as stock. I still think it is over priced, I want this done soon, snow is deep here where i live.....
  5. I am referring to any law preventing dealers to refuse to repair if I mod the truck. like MAGNUSON-MOSS Well, I am sure i am not breaking any law I have a buddy that did 6" lift without any issues. but I want to know if I will be denied for warranty as I modded my level WHAT DEALER!? In the states I am sure.... Canada... so expansive or they treat me like a dummy and rip me off :S
  6. Anyone in edmonton or knows who does leveling in edmonton for Sierra 1500? I am looking for 2.25, but dealership wants $875 CAD + tax for labour and kit! Anyone has clear warranty coverage on leveled truck in Canada? What is the law on mods in Canada anyway?
  7. I see what you did there ;)
  8. These are what i have so far, mostly visual and features
  9. I have a canopy, so I end up using the puddle light signal! My lights will be off like normal when key is in run position
  10. Hello, Good idea, but I took your step little different. I have the puddle light and I tapped into that. This way, when vehicle is in "run" position, puddle lights and the cargo lights will be completely off (as would the cargo light switch would too) I also have a overhead canopy light, so it HAS to be off when backing up. I have attached the diagram, REMEMBER, the orientation of the diagram is with the plug out, and the plug end facing you with clip fastener facing up! **** TIP**** I have had trouble keeping the leads of the diode in the wire socket, I end up sanding it sharp so I can get it in deeper next to the exposed area of the wire. IT ALSO HELPS if you wiggle the wire to the opposite direction it is leaning on to and insert the leads in that side. Wiggle the wire to the other side allows it to push back and keep the leads of the diode in the pressured position to maintain a solid connection.
  11. I have installed LEDs of 7443 in my sierra with the error resistors in parallel with the bulbs for signal line. No issues in size and they fit ok in socket. Backup was 921, no error resistors needed. Good luck!
  12. ohh... you went that route.... I almost took the plunge on them too but I hate the matrix of LED panels. I like a little designs, not so "2D" looking if you know what I mean. The whole point of LED is to improve the driver behind you up to 30% faster reacting to you braking. That is why I chose to replace bulbs to LED instead of the entire thing, but I hope you like them! Center light, I meant the center backup light lol, part of the the tail light you are about to replace entirely. I have a canopy on with LED light on top, so I could care less of the original one lol Here is my canopy
  13. I have ordered some 30W 7443 LED bulbs (6 in total, 3 pairs about $110+ CAD with shipping....) I am hoping these will fit in the 7444 like the advertised "equivalent to" They should be here within couple of weeks, have you changed the 921 center lights too? I have changed my head lights to HID and fogs to LED, both 6000k and match when HID is at full brightness. I also did the mod where the fog lights will stay on when I have high beam on, thanks to @spurshot 's posts
