  4. it was -14 here two mornings ago
  5. I just want it to warm up so I can wash my stinkin truck and enjoy the beautiful silver paint job. The hose in my garage spigot has been frozen for 3 weeks...and yes I disconnected it.
  6. sounds like a good use for that extra bowling ball...wish I had one!! I would be out there tonight setting my trap for tomorrow morning.

  9. how'd she do in the snow today?? I saw your area of the state got SLAMMED.
  10. last night I watched a marathon of North Woods Law on Animal Planet -- all those guys working the backwoods of Maine drive the GMC Sierra. Just an observation.
  11. ha -- not me!! And yes I admit to earning the dinosaur description. The shaky OS upgrades have me standing firm with the factory OS setting. Which reall stinks because I'd love to post up my "Silver Bullet" SLT just so I can show her to you guys.
  12. well...as they say... "it's paid for" -- no new tech instruments for awhile!
  13. agreed on the cartoon but I can't upload pics of my new truck to photobucket without first upgrading my ipad operating system to 7.0...and I refuse to destabilize my iPad just so I can upload pics...so I am stuck. Unless you have a different solution?
  14. nice!! my favorite rims...wish I had 'em!! I have similar 6 spoked rims but mine are ground down to smooth and polished aluminum spokes. I much prefer yours because they have an edge and different surface textures.
  15. Installed DeeZee bed mat and Weather Tech tailgate mat. The Bed mat fits perfect. The tailgate mat needed some stretching to get the pre drilled mat holes to line up...but all is well. "All in" costs for both $130
  16. Fell in the creek and key fob was in my pocket. It was wet but not for long. Eberything is working fine but need to know if there are any precautions I should take make 100% sure its dried out? and if so, how to dry it out?
  17. Cold day here in Ohio and I was wearing a light jacket. When I got into the truck and fired up the seats on "full 3 power" I noticed the high portion of the seat back didn't heat up. The butt and lower back was fine. Anybody else have that as an issue?
  18. Excellent clarification on the topic. However I would like to know if there is a "code fix" by someone with a laptop and access-mods to heat up the seats even more upon remote start? I am pretty disappointed in the "barely warm" seats when the temp dips below freezing. P.S. My Sierra spends her nights outside in the driveway!! Too big to sleep next to mama's car in the garage.
  19. appreciate the reassuring post Jack! This week they are calling for our first "Polar Vortex" of the year so sooner or later we will get dumped on with snow and it's nice to.know the trifecta will hold that much snow. My new truck is too long to fit in the garage so guess who is out in the cold.
  20. Thanks...I was hoping to see a reply like this!!
  21. Since i just picked up the soft Extang Trifecta...but I never researched how these soft covers hold up in the snow. Then I noticed the Extang manufacturing site is Ann Arbor Michigan so I am guessing the developers took northern winters into consideration. Any real world experience out there with soft covers and accumulated snow???
  22. I pulled the trigger on the extang soft. Security does matter to me but it isn't really an issue when factoring in the decision. Thanks for your reply by the way!
  23. Just picked up my new 2014 Sierra SLT Double Cab in Quicksilver so it's a 6'.6" bed. My first post and brand new to these boards and new to GM trucks. I have read 25+ pages on this tonneau cover thread and am stretched on the purchase of the Sierra and want to get a tonneau that fits comfortable but fits the budget too. Please help me force rank the following: TonnoPro soft (item# 42-108) $269.00 Tonno Pro Hard (item# HF-158) $529.00 Extang Hard (#56445) $646.00 Extang Trifecta (#44445) $334.00 Greatly appreciate the input/advice.
