  1. I’m waiting for a 2-3” kit from BDS and will replace with their fox shocks. Put some 35s or 37s on the truck too. My last truck had fox shocks that were much better than factory. That had a 6” lift. Don’t want to go that big because I’m planning to go from a bumper tow to a 5th wheel. Will see if that takes care of the sound. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I posted on this in the 2020 HD forum. I had this exact thing on my AT4 HD. It started around 2k miles. Seemed to be the back shocks. Checked everything. It stopped doing it around 4K miles. I never got it into the service department because they were too busy the day I went in for a recall, then I went on a long trip. I was considering just replacing them with aftermarket shocks anyways. If it comes back, then I’ll take them for a ride and show them this post. Thanks for sharing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Thanks for sharing. Fortunately, mine installed without an issue. My trailer tires are 225/75R15. Must be smaller than yours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I saw this on my IG feed today. Not my truck, I visit the snow often but don’t live in it. No plow for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks all. I knew I could get power to the camera whether it was an extension or the original power cord. Happy to hear it’ll reach. Will buy one, shorten the stats on the trailer to the max allowed dimensions in the system, and see how the camera angles look. Will report back. Where’s the best place to get the camera? Didn’t see it on GM accessories. Right now I have a Furrion wireless camera with a separate monitor. Works great and has Night vision. Good for lane changes and backing up in the dark. Interested to see the difference with transparent trailer. The cameras on the truck are a much higher quality and resolution than the Furrion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. My trailer is 34’11”, exceeding the feminisms for transparent trailer. Has anyone attempted to rig the camera and get the feature to work for a trailer that’s longer than the spec? I think the limit is around 32’. Can’t recall. I haven’t purchased the camera yet. I’m sure the first issue will be getting the wiring all the way to the plug. Can sort that out. Second would be what’s the camera view like? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’m supposed to get mine I stalled tomorrow at America’s Tire. Any update on this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. 2020 GMC Sierra AT4 2500 Duramax towing 9k bumper pull travel trailer. I’m seeing about 10 MPG all around, when I haul from sea level to Eastern Sierra Nevadas (8k foot climb) and back. Averaging 65-70 MPH. If I drop down to 55-60 MPH, as the speed limit in CA is 55 MPH when towing, then I see a couple MPG pickup. Towing up and down the coast at mostly sea level, I see more like 14 MPG. I also didn’t get the truck for MPG, the big difference over my gas truck is a rip right up 6%+ grades at 60 MPH at 2k RPMs with the trans barely heating up. My old truck struggled up grades when towing (35-45 MPH) and I go to the mountains often with the trailer. 8-10x per year. More importantly than going up, I can safely come down with my wife and kids. The old truck concerned me about breaks over heating. Not anymore with the “exhaust break”. That back pressure from the turbo brings this whole setup to a crawl on step inclines. Love the truck. The tech, the power, and control! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Upgraded the truck to a 2020 AT4 2500 HD Duramax. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I had the same with the DEF, I keep some in the bed at all times now. Mine said 1k miles left. At about 300 miles later, it gave me the low DEF warning and said it would limit speed soon. I was towing a trailer through the desert and had fortunately made it through about a 200 mile stretch already where I would not have been able to get more. Grabbed some about 10 mins after the low warning and it took 2 2.5 gal and said full. That was about 1k miles ago. It’s showing it’s about 1/3 full on the gauge now. Seems this truck either blows through 7.5 gals every 2k miles or the gauge is off. How many miles should you get on a full tank of DEF? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have the same truck. It’s 36 gal. If you wait until the refuel light comes on, then you’ll have about 5-6 gals of fuel left in the truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I had a 2014 Sierra SLT 4x4 5.3L. I also had a 6” BDS with 35” Toyo RTs. Stock gears were 3.42 and I swapped them for GM OEM Yukon 4.10 gears. Added a super spring and tuned the truck. Lots of other goodies on the truck as well: AMP power steps: cover, sound system, etc.. Absolutely loved my truck. Had it 5 years and 70k miles before going to the 2020 Sierra AT4 HD 2500 Duramax. The 1500 did great off road and towing a 5k lbs boat. It really is a big difference when towing with the Dmax though. I have a 35’ 8500lbs trailer. I always wanted the Dmax and should have got it last time around. Didn’t have a reason to until I sold my much lighter boat and went to a heavy trailer. For towing, it’s night and day difference. I highly recommending getting all the trailering packages and tech if you plan to tow. Happy to provide a lot more comparison info if you message me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Mines ticked since day one. I’ve never owned a diesel and thought it was normal based on what I’ve read online. Odd that yours only just started now... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Had the truck detailed, paint decontaminated, buffed, polished and ceramic coated. A crew worked on it for 3 days. Paint is looking flawless! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I drove a loaded 2500 HD diesel without the heavy duty spring and then with it. It feels just slightly stiffer with it. The one without was a Denali. The one with was an AT4. Both fully loaded. Not sure if there are any other differences to suspension elsewise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Research the lemon law in your area and force them to buy the truck back. I have a 2020 2500 AT4 HD 6.6L Duramax. I’ve had it 7 weeks and 2k miles (about 800 of them towing from sea level to 8k ft elevation and back). No transmission issues. Transmission is the smoothest I’ve had out of the 7 GM vehicles I’ve owned over the years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. How much did that cost you? I get mine back today. Had a guy go through and take all the defects out of the paint and ceramic coat it with crystal serum ultra. It was $350 more to use this crystal serum ultra over his own ceramic coating; however, he warranties the coating for 8 years. They’ve spent 3 days working on the truck for $1400. 22. Fresh detail on the truck and trailer. Did a 300+ mile trip yesterday with a 7k foot elevation gain. There’s a 10 mile stretch where 3k of that happens on a 6% grade. Truck stayed at 2k RPMs and 60 MPH (I didn’t notice any gear changing with the 10 speed). Transmission fluid only heated up a few degrees even with AC on. Night and day difference over my 1500. Trailer is just over 8k lbs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Have any of you pulled a travel trailer with the B&W 2.5”? How’s trailer sway? I use the equalizer weight distribution and sway control hitch. Made a huge difference in my 1500. Not sure how much of a difference it makes with my 2020 2500 Duramax. My trailer is nearly 35’ and 8500lbs... easy hauling for the truck so far. I have a 700 mile trip coming up where there is typically a fair amount of wind and a 12 mile stretch up a 6% grade. Will get a good test in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hope to see something like this for those of us who use sway control and weight distribution hitches for travel trailers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
