  1. Never had water blowing and never had the windshield replaced.
  2. I replaced my cabin air filter a few days ago. It was making a noise and so I went in again to remove the leaf sitting on the blower. When I took my new filter out, I noticed it has blue stains all over it. The only thing I can think of is that I went through the car wash and it might be the soap they use (rainbow color). But I'm not sure how soap would find its way into that area. Or is this something leaking??
  3. Just did this as well as the cargo w/ reverse lights. A tip for the foglights with high beams... Not sure if Chevy and GMC are different, or 2014 and 2015 trucks are different, but be aware that the wires may not be the same color as the guide says. Mine weren't. I went off just the color of the wires alone, and whenever I tried my high beams, the horn went off! LOL. Go by the hole number (10/18 or 10/22) and hole number ONLY.
  4. I installed mine without the separator. After further thinking, it makes sense. The catch can traps oil and water in the can, the separator will do the same thing. Except it will dump it right back in to the motor, and water going through your motor isn't good. If the clean side was a catch can set up, then I would have installed it. Also, it seems the consensus is the catch can does 99% of the work, clean side is just there for the WOT situations. If you think about the hundreds of thousands of these trucks that are out there being used, WITHOUT a catch can, and not having any problems, I think we're safe with the catch can on without the separator. There are so many people who don't even know what a catch can is and are driving everyday, so I wouldn't be too worried. Anyway, I have it sitting in storage if I want to install it in the future!
  5. Figured out my original question. However, I have another. I've read that the Elite Engineering clean side separator that goes into the stock oil filler location, is not a good idea if you live in cold climates. Where I live, we see the extremes of both heat and cold. Can anyone comment on this?
  6. Shit... that makes me nervous. I have 5k miles on mine and all is fine... I thought I was in the clear. I do agree that Ram has the nicest interior of the big 3. I just don't like how they've looked the same since '09 and the immature culture that goes with Ram trucks. Just promise us you won't put a big "HEMI" sticker on your windshield and flip your tow mirrors up when you're not towing.. Hahaha. And I mean hey.. pretty sure you'd be shunned if you bought a Ford!
  7. Whaaaaaat? I didn't know your truck was a vibrator. That's really shitty man.. especially for the top of the line model. What made you want to switch to the Ram? I would LOVE to do a retrofit, but it's completely out of my league in terms of mechanical aptitude/handiness. I'd pay someone to do it but am not aware of any local shops, and don't feel like shipping my headlights away for half a month and being truckless haha.
  8. I am wanting to put HIDs for my lows and highs, and LED bulbs to match for my fogs. We both have the projector lights, and I'm just wondering if you ever got your lights hooked up? There's so many options out there it's making my head spin. Nice truck btw
  9. Just downshift... use your engine to brake rather than your brakes! the higher RPMs literally slow your truck down enough that you don't need to use your brakes at all, unless you need to come to a complete stop. Tow/haul mode works, but not as good. You will know it's active as a message pops up in the DIC that says "Grade Assist". Hill descent control is more so for off-roading in very slow speeds.
  10. LMAO... I feel your pain brother.
  11. How far did it push your front wheels out, and is it compatible with the stock rims?
  12. Anyone running the 5" RCX knuckle lift...?
  13. I've never put more thought into anything in my life until now! I am still considering the Zone 4.5 and BDS 4, but found this recently: http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-2234c.html 5" Rough Country lift. Is that the one that uses the knuckles, so it would also push my front track width out? Anyone know by how much, and if this is a quality lift? Rough Country has gotten a lot of bad rep. I know the Zone and BDS both push the front out by 1.5", so I would buy 1.5" wheel spacers for the rear.
  14. Yeah I'm really considering BDS. I'll probably add the 1.25" RCX body lift to clear 35s with lots of room. Something I don't get at all, however, is that BDS and Zone both claim you can run 35s on their lifts, yet with RCX's 5" lift which is higher than both of them, says you can only run 33s... wtf?
  15. Sweet thanks. How's the handling/ride like? One reason I want to go with BDS is because they give new struts instead of just a spacer.
  16. Anyone with Zone 4.5" or BDS 4", how is it holding up and could you post a picture of your angles? Thanks
  17. Yeah you're right, you can see the rub marks on his sway bar on the driver's side and UCA on passenger side.
  18. Wha? My buddy has stock 20" with 305/55R20 tires on only a 2.5" RCX level.
  19. Borla ATAK sounds effing incredible!!! WOW!!! I am so happy with how it turned out, this truck sounds like a beast. I'm going to start a build thread soon and will post sound clips in there. Also had the Airaid Jr. Kit installed. Filled up my du-ha with lots of tools such as emerg. equipment, fire extinguisher, tow straps, ratchet straps, bungee cords, etc. etc. My truck has already been put to work and has towed out not 1, but 2 dodges... friggen' things can't get out of their own way. Ordered the upper cargo tie downs from the dealership and have an appt. to get them installed next week. Still trying to decide on a lift... too many options. Get so many looks on my truck. I really believe these are the best looking trucks on the road, GM has outdone themselves here. Bowtie til I die.
  20. Washed the outside, pressured washed the shit out of the under carriage in prep for undercoating, and detailed the inside. Then I installed my Husky front & rear floorliners and the du-ha storage, and loaded it up with tools and equipment. Tomorrow = getting Borla ATAK installed and the Airaid Jr. Kit. Next up... trying to find a lift kit and tires that fit on my stock rims AND stick out far enough to look good with bushwackers.
  21. I'm about to order the Elite Engineering can. I only need the single exit port, right? Also, no need for check valves.. right? Is the clean-air oil separator worth the money? From what I understand it only applies during WOT, but I do like to floor it frequently enough. Last question. How do you drain this can? Do you just unscrew the bottom, dump it, and re-screw it back on? If so, wouldn't oil leak through the threading where it screws together? Keep in mind I live in a climate that has both extremes of weather. Can be as cold as -40C in winter and as hot as +40C in summer. Thanks
  22. I have the exact same truck, color, and wheels as you (my truck has Z71 though)... Also wanting to do either the 4.5" Zone, 4" BDS, or RC 2.5" and Zone 1.5" body combo. I also want to run 33s on my stock 20s but it seems everyone gives me a different answer.
  23. Thanks for the help guys. Crawled under my truck to find out what the factory rims' offset are... +27. I want to keep the stock 20" rims. I love them and can't really afford to buy new rims. So... I'll most likely be running a 33x12.50 tire, fender flares, and either the 2.5" level kit with 1.5" body lift, the 4" BDS, or the 4.5" Zone. I want the tires to not look goofy with the fender flares, they need to be flush to look good. Would backspacing solve my issue, since the factory rims have such a high offset? (High offset is good and bad of course, good because you can run bigger tires without rubbing, bad because the tires sit in so far) And... what is backspacing? Lol. Is it just wheel spacers? Thanks guys.
