  1. I had the tail lights on the drive side go out... no fuse anywhere the stealer finally told me wire goes directly to the BCM that might need to be reset or replaced. Luckily I had the extended warranty and they had the truck four 4 days. The problem they told me they found was a corroded wire under the dash.
  2. I did google it and found this....... https://ecclesautoservice.ca/do-electronic-rust-protectors-work/
  3. The dealer said rubberized and gave me the name Cal-Tex. On line it says it is " A paraffin-based material, our Rust Inhibitor keeps moisture from corroding inner body panels from the inside out. Not only does Rust Inhibitor help reduce rust and corrosion, but it also helps protect against salt and humidity. "
  4. That is what my dealer used...... it lasted 3 years and it is now peeling off...... They told me it was a one time treatment covered.... and now offered to use a rubberized undercoating no charge. Any opinions ?
  5. GMC = RUST Both bumpers had rust through ( from the inside out ) within a year of ownership.... dealer replaced both and told me I should have waxed it. Had the frame wax recall treatment.... it lasted two years. found out it is a one time deal...... even if put on incorrectly. You can see where the pads from the lift contacted the frame before it had set up..... in a hurry ????
  6. Are there fuses on a 2014 GMC Sierra for the left rear turn/stop light ? Thank You
  7. I have thought about one also but not until they work out all the bugs...... In the mean time maybe an XD-E in .45acp
  8. Anyone carry an XD-E in .45acp ? pros- cons ?
  9. Can't wait to hear about it.. and how you connect them OTRATT offers a 2 switch and 3 switch panel. The 3switch panel is about 3" and would JUST rn past the edges of the trim on the stock trim plate. The 2 siwtch plate is about 2.5" wide iirc and will cover the stock hole nicely and any hole I dremel to fit it in. This is a lot easier than sourcing the reaper/black widow switch pod or trying to engineer something to go into the cubby. I will post updates when all my parts come in. The OTRATT stuff is coming from CA to GA usps and I have a custom etching on one of them so.. it may take a week or 2 before I see it.
  10. New headlight buckets and the dark spots are gone... Also got the first dent out of the way thanks to the dealer.....
  11. Just thought less problems
  12. Finally got my dealer to perform the upgrade. Made a big improvement, but.... Now the headlight buckets need replacing and the mechanic left a trim removal tool under the hood. Went back to have new headlights installed... this time they did not snap in the piece that goes under the lights correctly, no big deal it just needed to be pushed in. The big thing is they put a small dent along with to small scratches in the passenger fender. Big enough to see but not big enough to fix. I know this was no there before because I would have seen it when I washed it and waxed it.. So much for getting the first dent out of the way NOT And to top it off it took all day for them to do this and the service manager told me he had one of his best guys do this and not an " oil change guy". guess this tells me what to expect for warranty work in the future... Also they offer a free car wash with every service.. NOT DONE " I thought it was done" He was looking at another Truck 3475 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park, NY 14127 - (716) 667-2000
  13. Just had the new lamps installed along with the BCM flash. Lights are brighter, even the hi beams are good. Downside I now have dark spots in the light beam. Looked at the headlights and can see where there might have been condensation that has since dried and left residue on the inside. Back to the dealer tommorow Other than replacement any way to clean these ?
  14. i called them after I talked to service and they kept telling me they never heard of the fix and said they will check daily for recalls for my truck. I privided the tsb number, pictures of the tsb, pictures of the bulbs and got no response.... not even a let me look that up. So my next step was GM which after talking to them was a mistake, but at the time I thought it was a good idea.
  15. I am having a terrible time getting my dealer to even look up the number. I keep telling them it is a TSB they tell me they have my VIN number and will check every day for any recalls. I keep telling them it is a t\TSB with no luck. Friday, 06 March 2015 3475 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park, NY 14127 - (716) 667-2000
