  1. Oh that's awesome. I've got 285/70/17 now and wondered if 315/70/17 would fit. Im at 39.5" with these tires. I swapped in a 3" block in back to keep most of my rake. I've actually not measured it again since installing. Should probably do that now that I have some miles on it.
  2. I added the 2.5's earlier this summer. Sitting at same 2.75" higher than stock height. What size wheel and tires are you running?
  3. Did some upgrades this summer. Fox 2.5's and Cognito UCA's up front and Fox 2.0's with a 3" block in the back. Ended up 2.75" higher in the front and 2" higher in the back (still have some rake which I like). Relaced my chunky chrome nurf bars with Rough County wheel to wheel nurf steps. Added a Borla S-Type dual exhaust. Had a Diablew tune done. Now I just need to replace my 285/70R17's tires (and maybe wheels, have not decided yet) with something a little bigger.
  4. Yeah nice looking truck! I should probably get a good pick or two of mine and post it. Also recently added new steps, exhaust, and a small lift. Haven't done the wheels/tires yet, still deciding on those.
  5. Drove my truck for the second time today after installing a DiabLew tune the other day. Very pleased with the outcome and we don't even have the WOT logs done yet. I am amazed at how well this truck shifts now.
  6. I bet once the machinery on that job site gets moving your truck is all dusty in mear minutes.
  7. How easy was it to adjust? Mines off on the driver's side slightly and I've always wanted to see if I could fix that.
  8. I'd be curious to hear from someone with the ATAK and how it sounds at 70+ mph speeds as the S-Type on mine seems to get louder at those speeds. Maybe that's what you guys refer to as drone? I think the noise would get to me on longer trips if it were any louder at those speeds.
  9. You certainly got me in height though!
  10. Also appreciate this info. I've had the 87 tune on for years and have liked it but never real happy with the shifts. Was chatting with Lew last week and will be pulling the trigger on his tune as soon I can run my tank of 87 out and put in premium.
  11. Installed a Borla S-Type with the duals out the back. Removing that rusty bolt on the flange clamp at the cat was by far the most difficult part. Really liking the look and sound.
  12. Same year and motor and same result tuning out v4 I see a 1mpg drop. I guess I didnt really pay attention if the trans acted differently. I only get the clunk on real hard accelerations and I currently have v4 on. I may have to try it off again. What exhaust are you thinking of going with?
  13. There are a few options, probably the easiest do it yourself option would be a Diablosport intune2 which costs about $360. That'll allow you to add a little HP and turn off the AFM. This is what I use on my 2014 and have been very happy with it, it did improve my shifting too. They also sell a AFM only device but I think its kinda pricey at about $220 for what it does. Range also sells an AFM only device for I think about $180. Take a look at Diablosports site at the intune2. You may be able to find it a little cheaper from other websites or I do see them come up for sale on here sometimes. BlackBear is also really good but does cost more. Good luck.
  14. I don't have the Blackbear tune but Diablosport and I've done similar to you on many fillups. That 30%-40% ethanol range seems to be the best of both worlds, you get the increased power feel and your fuel economy does not suffer as much. I'm using their 91+ octane tune and always just mix in regular 87 with E85 to try and equal about 91 octane. With E85 said to be about equal to 100 octane and you using 70% 93 octane aren't you then sitting at about 95 octane? I know the ethanol percentage fluctuates in E85 throughout the year to as low as ~70% ethanol so the math gets a little fuzzier in the winter. Did Justin recommend still using the higher 93 octane when you mix or do you just prefer doing that?
  15. I don't understand why Diablosport would say it doesn't change shift pattern at all. Isn't that exactly what the TCM portion of the tune is supposed to do? Why else would we be picking between the firm or hard shift options. And why else would it be holding the gear longer? And I can say that my shifting is better than stock when choosing one of these options. That comment from them just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe someone else can explain.
  16. Yes, my 2014 is flex fuel.
  17. I dont see many on the roads anymore but you cant go wrong with the look of a RCSB. Welcome.
  18. I have had the intune (non i2) for about 2yrs now. My initial thought when I read your post was I dont think mine does that. But sure enough on my drive home today I purposely drove the slower steady speeds and paid attention and mine acted the same way. From about 25 to 35 it starts at about 1200 and climbs RPM up to about 1700 then shifts, does the same thing again from 35 to 45 before shifting, and again will do it from 45 to 55. It seemed to really want to hold the gear and the higher RPM if you kept the speed steady like you said. I usually dont drive the slower speeds, most always 55mph roads or 70mph freeway but I have not noticed any drop in mpg with the tune installed. And this is with testing the different tune combinations pretty well over the past 2 yrs. I've tested having AFM off for one month and I lost 1mpg so I keep it on. AFM seems to work flawless in my truck. I've settled on mostly using the diablo tune with firm shift and using E85. I agree with dirtymacus's post, the tune is probably made to hold the higher rpm for better power and throttle response. I've been pretty happy with it for a canned tune. These trucks can really get up and go!
  19. I just got mine in the mail yesterday. Was the install pretty straightforward? Does the valence need to be temporarily removed to get the front plate in place? No additional bolts, etc needed?
  20. That is surprising. I just looked online amd my Toyo's are 11.5" wide and 32.8" tall and the Goodyear's are 11.5" wide and 33" tall. Mine is a 14 extended cab, z71. What is your 15?
  21. Here are some more pics of mine at full lock. They do not come anywhere close to the front sway bar or any other suspension parts or frame (first 2 pics). And at the back rear side of the tire they do come close to the carpet wheel well liner but does not ever rub (3rd pic). I can slide my fingers between the gap. On the front side of the wheel well there is even more room (4th pic). I see no signs of rubbing or scuffs anywhere and with the closet spots just being the wheel well carpet material I dont see any big risk. And I've had these on for almost 37k miles. I had this exact same tire on my 2005 Silverado and it did rub slightly on the suspension at full lock but not on my 2014.
  22. Truck is a little dirty right now but here are a few. Still decent clearance and they do not really stick outside the fenders if you dont like that kind of look.
  23. I have Toyo Open Country AT II LT285/70R17's on my 2014. No lift or level, no trimming and I have had no issues or rubbing. Put them on when I bought it new, 37k miles on them now. I love this size tire on my truck.
  24. I just had my fuel pump go out on my 14. Around 32k miles on it. I use the Diablosport tune. I just returned to stock prior. No issues at dealer, replaced it under warranty.
  25. Wow that is quite a difference. I would not have guessed that. How much does the grill guard weigh? I have similar tires to you and the 19-20 mpg is what I see too on regular 87 gas.
