Got it back and within 600 miles it got worse. Had 3-4 inches of play. Took it back and they fixed it. Said they did a long list of items plus recal of sensors. The paperwork states...remove steering box and perform adjustment procedure per bulletin #pit5501c. reset btoe in. relearn steering angle sensor & p/s pressure sensor learn.
Easy steering going slow, much tighter at high speeds plus no slop. We will see......
2 days in the shop.....might be a good sign that they actually are doing something. But to be fair I have the "loose" steering and the Digital Steering Assist System not working as advertised.
Mine goes in today for a Tues appt. Had it in once earlier in the year but of course I got the, "its normal" diagnosis. Its like you need to be armed with a TSB before you even think about going to the dealer.
I too had an issue I thought. Not as bad as what you are describing. My 2015 1500 had very tight steering however the Dealership said it was normal for a 2500HD.
I smell oil and I have a hissing noise. The hissing noise, everyone has checked my setup and everything is as it should be. I'm also told that the hissing can be normal and don't worry about it if I have no codes. The oil smell, no one has addressed that. I have a "good " RX and I'm sorry, hissing and oil smell is not normal. Re-ran my lines with heavier hose and it did lower the hissing.
