I have this efli live dongle left over from my previous 2015 silverado tuning. I had custom data log tuning done then uninstalled the tuning prior to selling truck. If I remember right one could buy additional tuning for the same device but be sure you verify with Blackbear Performace. Figure someone can use hopefully. I used 2016+ radio/HMI on my 2015.5 to add Android Auto/Carplay. There is a huge thread on how to do it, parts required, and companies that can do the programming. I believe that thread is on the K2 1500 forum.

I originally considered lowering the rear of mine but ultimately lifted the front roughly 1.5" (7 turns of T-bar bolt) because I was concerned how airbag might react being compressed more from the get go. I also did the diff drop as well.

I sold my io6 2.0 on eBay for nearly what I paid for my io6 2.5.

Yep, do the 2.5 HMI/radio module upgrade for android auto / car play. I did that on my 2015 and very worth it. I do still have factory nav but used AA about 90% of the time.

I sold my 2.0 IO6 hmi on eBay for about what I paid for my 2.5 IO6 hmi on eBay. Seems like around $200 of my memory serves me.

Just finished up the 2.5 HMI/radio/usb upgrade in my 2015 to add Android Auto, Car Play, and the in motion unlocks through @GTPprix at WAMS. The process was straight forward and easy and the results are awesome. Highly recommend doing. I did run into a hiccup on the factory nav calibration afterward but all ended up ok and WAMS was very, very fast to respond and help out. Now to start sourcing an instrument cluster to finish the upgrade completely.

Ah, true, forgot it was just the clockspring to airbag. I remember that now when I was looking I was finding way more deals on wheels on ebay for 1500 trucks than 2500 and thought the same thing but held out and finally found a good deal on a 2500 wheel so didn't mess with that. When all said and done after buying a new wheel and clockspring and selling my old ones I was out of pocket under $100 for the heated wheel upgrade. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade

I believe the airbag wiring is different between the 1500 vs 2500/3500 as well. Seems one has 1 plug vs other has 2.

How do you turn on the reverse camera then? Just install a switch that sends power to the camera and it will take over the screen even if not in reverse?

Does the instument cluster cluster need to be from a 1500 vs 2500 (as long as gas version 2500 in my case for the correct tach display) and as long as it is 2016+ or are there better year/models to try to find?

Curious on the cruise control if that was or could be fixed via tuning? Kinda doubt it with vacuum controlled. My old 2nd gen dodge diesel with vacuum cruise hated bigger injectors and such and would surge rendering it basically useless as well.

Do you off programming or were these just take outs? IO5 or IO6?

When using Google Maps navigation, does the screen in the instrument cluster display turn info, etc like it does with factory IO6 nav? Does it show call info, etc also for Android Auto? The volume paddle issue is a bummer for me, waiting to see what work around there might be.

Have no input but in for updates. MAybe post on performancetrucks as you might get more tuner oriented folks there too.

I have seen places that sell the spacers and bolts as a kit but shouldn't be to hard to make it yourself from spacers at the hardware store. Looks like the kits are typically 3/4".

I've seen where guys space the bumper out like 3/4" off the frame mount for a little extra clearance.

2015 gasser

My 2015 2500 LT has the offroad page on my DIC. Just had to turn it on in the settings section.

Apparently the 1500 trucks have 2 plugs for the airbag and the 2500/3500s have just 1 plug and are different clock springs. I see looking up part numbers there is a different part number for the steering wheel for the 1500 vs 2500/3500 for the same color/options (Silverado black w/heat w/o crash 1500= 84222909 / 2500= 84222916). Would that be because of different airbag? Would think the wheel itself would be same and just different bag and clock spring but want to make sure I get the correct one for my 2500 when looking on ebay for used wheels if the 1500 would work or not. Maybe the 1500 wheel has the space provisions for the 2 plugs?
