  1. I got the same response when I asked about the part number. I was concerned there for a little bit. I haven't installed them. I got new mounts, covers, bump stops etc. for them so I can get them assembled and switch them out myself. Most likely it will be next Friday so I can get an alignment Saturday.
  2. After I saw you're post I check my part number and I have the same number as you, 24-242509. Did you confirm this is the correct part number?
  3. I haven't had time to get them installed and most likely it won't be until next weekend. The anticipation is killing me!
  4. Top setting with another 1/2 top spacer. I currently have 2.5" leveling kit and need the clearance with 305/55R20's. Now just trying to figure out if I want upper control arms or not.
  5. Got my 6112's today...ordered them 6/28 of last year. Excited to get them on but it will have to wait until next week. They are huge! Doing 5100 in the rear.
  6. Not yet...MRT said they didn't get the delivery from Bilstein yet and therefore obviously have shipped them out. Getting a little frustrated but I'm sure (hoping) that MRT pulls through and gets this figured out quickly as I'm needing new tires soon.
  7. I've read this whole post and went back a few time but still have a few questions. I'm going to be putting on some Bilstein 6112 shocks on the top level with a .5" upper spacer for about 2.25" lift. I really want to go with 275/65R20 BFG KO2's. I'm also looking at some Fuel Maverick 20x9 wheels and not sure if I can get away with the +1 offset or if I should go with +20. I want the wheels/tires to stick out just a little past the fender but also don't want any rubbing. With that all said, do you think can I do the +1 with the 275/65's? Or should I go with the +20 offset with 275/65's? Or are the 275/65 to much and I should go with 275/60's? Appreciate your input...just want to do this once! Truck info in signature.
  8. Not yet..I was on the pre-release email/list but I guess that didn't happen. They said they are getting more in Friday and should ship them out that day. I hope to have them early next week.
  9. I'm excited to test them out but sounds like it might be a little bit before I get them. I'll let you know what I think. Ordered them MRT Motor Sports (link below) for $590 shipped. Only place I found them listed...but haven't looked a ton. I was ready to do something so when I saw they were out I ordered. http://mrtmotorsports.net/bilstein-shock-sets/bilstein-6112/47238xxx/i-7474057.aspx
  10. Just ordered the 6112. Look forward to getting them and testing them out. I was going to get .5" spacer for a little more lift. Is it better to get the top or bottom spacer? I'll looking into UCA later. Will the 6112 have more travel? I wanted to get some 275/65R20 KO2's...should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.
  11. I just found this...thoughts? Are they really out? http://mrtmotorsports.net/bilstein-shock-sets/bilstein-6112/47238xxx/i-7474057.aspx
  12. Forgot to post these when I installed the can but here is my dual exit catch can installation. GDI, thanks for your help and input on these catch cans!
  13. Since you were talking about check valves has anybody or is there any reason to put a check valve on the exit hose (from the crankcase)? That way stuff doesn't run back into the crankcase when you shut down? Thoughts?
  14. mjj - I would think the E2X would be easier to empty since it has a ball valve and could run a hose from it to a place you can have some thing to drain it into easily. If you're filling an 8oz can in 3 days math would say you'd fill a 12 oz in 4-5 days. I have the E2X but it's not as cold here so can't say how quickly it will fill up. Again I think the ball valve would make it easier/quicker. One thought I had was run the hose to a milk or gallon jug secured somewhere and you could just open the hood, turn the valve to let it drain, turn the valve and be done until the jug fills up. Regarding the BG service; They (GDI Tech) say the E2X has been tested to catch 95-98% of the blow by. With that little amount I plan to spend $15 on CRC Valve cleaner every 10k miles (before an oil change) just to clean the valves up a little. I feel that the E2X will keep enough off the valves that no large deposits will build up and concern me when I use the cleaner (scratching the cylinder walls). What happened to your Acadia? I just manually cleaned my wife's Acadia's valves at 30k and put an E2X can on. Hope to have both vehicles for a long time since we don't put many miles on them. I would recommend manually cleaning the valves if you have 25-30k mile on your truck without a catch can and not do the BG service (can after manual cleaning but what's the point if they are clean) because those deposits have to go somewhere and I feel it will do some type of damage. Like I said my plan is to use a quality catch can and use CRC (cheap) just to clean them up once a year or so. Doing the cleaning every 10-15k miles with a quality catch can I don't feel that enough buildup will be one the valves to do any damage. I'm no expert but after reading a lot on the topic that's my plan. Good luck.
  15. Just thought I'd post some pictures of the valves in my wife's Acadia at 30k miles. I manually cleaned the valves yesterday before adding an Elite E2-X catch can. After seeing this I'm glad I manually cleaned them (not a spray cleaner - CRC or Seafoam) and installed a catch can. I can tell a difference in acceleration after cleaning the valves. We'll see about any mileage improvements in a few weeks/months between cleaning the valves and the catch can. I've had the standard Elite can on my truck since about 800 miles and upgraded to the E2-X can today (performers better with GDI engines - so I'm told/read). I guess I can check them in another 3 years/30k miles and see if the catch can helped any! I think it was a good investment. Anybody want my standard catch can its for sale - pm me.
  16. The kit includes the clean air separator. The dual outlet can (which I read earlier is what you want for constant negative pressure) is $358 (rounded up to $360). Just not sure if the dual outlet can is what I should get or the single. If single outlet I think check valves are included in the kit as well.
  17. I'm thinking of replacing my Elite basic can with the new E2-X can and clean side separator. I've read all the post but not 100% sure on all of this. Is the clean side worth it? Should I get the two outlet can (one line going to the intake)? I want this truck to last so I want whatever will be the best in the long run. Still $360 is a lot to drop on this but if it's for the best I might as well now then later. I have 5.3 if that matters any. Thanks for your advise and help.
  18. I've had good luck with mine. I've adjusted it a couple different levels and they all saved just fine. Mine is basically off now when I start it so I don't blast it to load with my son in the back.
