  1. Another update on my 2015 Sierra CC z71. Still at the dealer on its 4th attempt, the 18th will be a month they've had it this time. They were advised by the field service engineer to put new tires on the truck, balance, test drive then rebalance the tires. This did help but the vibrations are still in the steering wheel and in the pedals from 65+. The dealership is real shotty on the trucks they offer in a buyback. I'm looking at their new offers this weekend, if not satisfied, I will be continuing forward with counsel. Save yourself the trouble and have a consultation with a lemon law attorney. You'll have a feeling of relief once you are done. It's nice to know that resolve is available beyond the control of GM, the BBB and dealerships.
  2. Mine has been in the shop 4 times, out of service for 60+ days and they didn't offer a loaner the first time when I was without for 17 days. All of those constitute a lemon law. Get a lawyer because they are screwing you! I've had three loaners and two of them shook like they were having a seizure.
  3. A little update with my truck...2015 Sierra z71 cc 5.3L bought brand new and have had nothing but problems. Since 7/20 my truck has been at the dealer 62 days. The dealership offered a trade assist on two lesser trucks that were not of my choosing. In addition to that MSRP for MSRP trade has been refused. I've since talked with my GM Senior Advisor and informed him he has one of three options to satisfy me; 1) MSRP for MSRP without me paying for mileage. 2) 100% purchase price refund with no penalty for mileage....or 3) Start my claim with BBB. I was informed that I would be hearing from the DM within 1-4 business days. However, at this point I'm tired of dealing with these sorry @$$ mother#_@+×#'s and have now traded in my patience and willingness to work with them for a Lemon Law lawyer. I'd recommend doing this so no one has to deal with this crap any longer. I'll be posting results soon.
  4. That may be the case but there is no reason a 50k dollar truck should vibrate...ever! I was given the same line about the vibrations from the Service Manager. Do not accept that garbage. There is an issue with these trucks and it needs to be fixed ASAP. Tires are not the issue. That may be the case but there is no reason a 50k dollar truck should vibrate...ever! 5. It's not a wheel or tire issue. They replaced my factory 20's with a base issued set of 18's and the vibrations were still there and it added a lot of cab noise as well. These trucks have a serious issue.
  6. There is a new vibration scope that GM engineers are using. If you were turned away with them saying the truck is within spec with the PICO scope, take it back and demand the other scope to be put on your truck.
  7. I am about to start my BBB claim in efforts to get money back. I'm buying a Tundra.
  8. IF YOUR DEALER SAID THE VIBRATIONS ARE WITHIN SPEC TAKE YOUR TRUCK BACK ASAP! With that being said I'll give you a quick back story. My 2015 z71 Sierra CC has been at the dealership for 60 out of 150 days this far. They've replaced front tires x 2, a set of rear tires, set of shocks, driveshaft, pulled ring and pinion to check specs and checked specs on every corner of the truck. POS still vibrates, even after being told that the truck was within specs after the PICO scope tests. Finally, as of yesterday, the GM Field Service EEngineer came and drove my truck with their new scope and it vibrated off the charts. The new scope checks vertical vibes, lateral vibes as well as forward and aft vibes. The GM limit is 10mg but they try to get the trucks to somewhere near 5-7mg. My truck with the new scope read 50MG!!!!!!!! TAKE YOUR TRUCK BACK AND DEMAND IT BE TESTED WITH THE NEW SCOPE!!!! Just as i thought, there was and is still a bad vibration in the truck at anything over 65. Now comes the kicker, the FSE said they are going o replace the tires again, RF balance them then run the truck for 30 miles to get the tires hot. Once the tires are hot they are going to bring the truck back in and re-RF balance them. He said that should cure the vibes. Sounds like a huge crock of shit to me. Balanced is balanced is balanced, regardless if the tires are hot or cold!
  9. Well guys can't say my experience has been near as pleasant as everyone else's. So my truck has been at the dealership since last Friday, which collectively is near 40 days in total. They are saying my truck does not vibrate and the pico tests say the truck is well below spec. Unfortunately the truck still vibrates! If the truck no longer vibrated they would have released the truck to me already. They took off my 20" wheels and replaced them with 18" wheels and tires. The vibrations were less with the bigger sidewall tire but the truck picked up a dull resonating noise in the cab. With all that being said they are having a GM Field Service Engineer come out and look at the truck. Still find it odd that the truck is supposedly vibration free but they are having the FSE to come look at it. Oh forgot to mention, the Operations Manager accused me of mentally imagining the vibration. Beware all, they know of the issue but are doing their best to push you out the door.
  10. Checked in on my truck today, as it's been in service since last Friday. I was informed they are trying a different set of wheels and tires now. The SM told me last time that he is out of ideas...they're pretty much reaching for anything at this point before they either have to do a buyback or I lemon law the truck. More to come in the next few days.
  11. That's definitely one way of narrowing down the issue.....helluva idea
  12. The vibration is in the seats, steering wheel, console, back seats and in the dash. It's pretty bad, almost as bad as my actual truck.
  13. Well guys my truck is back in the shop for the fourth and final time before I am forced to make this an even bigger mess. Nonetheless they gave me a 2015 GMC CC 2wd SLE as a loaner .....surprise to no one I'm sure....this POS shakes like hell on anything over 65. Just wanted to pass the word. I'll be taking my loaner in on Monday to inform the SM of the issue with this truck as well.
  14. Abominable z71- funny thing is the SM I'm dealing with doesn't think it's in the front end either. That's the only end of the truck they haven't had apart yet. I'm thinking either the front driveshaft, cva, or upper and lower a-arms are bent. Tomorrow is visit number four, and number three within the last 2 weeks. Hopefully the dealership and GM does me right.
  15. It's a Texas Edition z71 crew cab 4x4. 20" wheel package with Goodyear SRA's.
  16. Well my truck has been at the dealership for a total of 32 out of 113 days owned with vibration issues. So far I've had a set of rear tires replaced, two full sets of front tires (1 set with 150 miles and another with 350 miles put on them), replaced rear shocks (supposed 10mm dead space in one shock), balanced and rotors, checked specs on ring/pinion, replaced rear driveshaft......AND....to no one's surprise it still shakes. Howwever, the shake has changed and gotten worse. From 0-60 truck is great. 60-68 smooth but vibration starts coming in. 68-75 very noticeable vibration in steering wheel, seat, door panel and now the pedals. 75-90 you better hold on its gonna get rough. So to really see how bad the issue was after I test drove it, after it was supposedly fixed from the dealer and passed on the pico, I took my foot off the gas and naturally let the truck decelerate from 90 to 60. Wow is really all I have to say. The truck now seems to have a deceleration vibration that is even worse. As of now it shakes while accelerating from 60 to 90 and shakes just as bad coasting from 90 down to 60. The Service Manager is at a loss for a solution and shocked. Supposedly the regional GM rep will be looking at my truck this coming week. I can only hope I have the end result as some of you other guys with an MSRP truck exchange program. I'll keep everyone posted. I'm hoping they make it right so I don't have to go through the BBB. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Hey guys I'm new to the forum but not to the vibration issues. I have read a good bit of the thread but 382+ pages makes it hard to sort through. Has anyone had any luck getting a gm buyback or just getting out of their truck? I have a 2015 Z71 Sierra Texas Edition that is shaking me to pieces. I've had the truck in three times (currently at the shop now for the 9th day in this visit ) for tire replacement, shock replacement and probe testing. The SM seems to be lost as far as a solution goes. Today is my 29th day the truck has been in service. I know lemonade starts at 30 days. Any advice on what and how to approach this? I'm at wits end. Thanks. MB
