  1. Set up my lights out in the SUN (62F, feeling like 85). Fogs on with HI's, and cargo on with reverse. Thanks for the photos Spurshot & PGamboa (respectively). Took me about 30 minutes on the headlights/fogs, ended up having to remove the brown plug, disconnecting my remote start connections, and my second diode. And about 10 minutes and two attempts/operational checks to get my reverse/cargo lights connected, with the first headlight diode (was salvageable). LO's before mod HI's before mod ALL FWD WHITES w/ HI's ON, after mod REVERSE/Cargo mod
  2. From the album: Ravenkeeper's 2015 Silverado LTZ Z71 (Black) w/ Off-Road Package

Did a bunch of running around, gathering things for inexpensive truck mods. Was obviously a Friday, I had my red sweatshirt on.

  3. So Friday I picked up a couple 1N4004 diodes for some light mods ($2), a 2"x12"x8' for bed divider ($11), two rattle cans of PlastiDip for the 2"x12", my front/back bowties & front "Z," 12ga cable terminal ends to relocate my AM/FM antenna under the hood ($5). Some of these were originally not listed in my list about a month ago. Should be completing these in the next few days and will post pictures soon.
  4. I know that feeling ALL TOO WELL, some of the trucks at work have pintle hooks, met a couple of them while working graveyard shift. Don't think that if they were red that the "meetings" would have been any different.
  5. HA, I haven't washed mine since October. Dealership washes it for free each time I get my oil changed (Nov & last week), they do a decent job. Grabbing new headlight bulbs later this morning, watched one die about halfway to work tonight, and some LED exteriors. Slow day at work? I may repaint all three of mine (2", 2-5/16" & Pintle). Why did you choose red?
  6. I can measure it. My lower corners seem to be rounded in the bed, I may have to sand them some to get them to fit.
  7. What process did you use to install yours? I'm looking at doing two of these, definitely one, at 2x12.
  8. I'm looking at PlastiDipping my bowties, and still debating on doing my rims. Will I only need to clean the surfaces that I want to "dip" or do I need to rough it up? Waymon, where did you get your phone holder? How did you get it to stay in the pocket?
  9. With mine, if I put the nozzle all the way in, it would shutoff every $1.50-$2.00, on most pumps. I have been dealing with it, just have to remember to put it all the way in and pull it back out about 1/2".
  10. I've similar ones on Amazon for cheap/decent prices.
  11. I've noticed that all 6 RSs around here seem to be closed anymore. The only one that I know of for sure that is still open is one back home, 200 miles from here. Just did a search on RS's website, 50 miles to their nearest store. Still, $1.50 is still a great deal for this mod.
  12. I'll take two if anyone has any, after TNS gets his.
  13. Does this allow you to turn on your reverse lights when you turn on your cargo lights? The point of using the diode for 26/26 jump is to have the cargo lights on in addition to your reverse lights, when you're in reverse. If you are able to control your reverse lights with the cargo light switch, I would like to find a way to override the cargo light non-op while in gear feature, to blind the morons behind me with their brights on.
  14. Keep us posted. Post an update in about a month or so.
  15. I've read somewhere that Home Depot has them too, but I only found mine at Lowe's. As a "rule of thumb" for height, nothing lower than 8' for my truck itself, nothing less than 11' with my CB antenna up.
  16. I'm having a very similar problem on my 15 Silverado, but I have noticed that using the same pumps, cause the same problem. I'm not having this problem at all pumps, but I have found this problem at various levels, not only below 1/4 tank. When I start experiencing this problem, I pull the nozzle out, reinsert it and try again. Usually, with success within 1-3 tries.
  17. I like the right switch, need to install one for the right seat and all 3 rear seats positions.
  18. I got mine from Lowe's, Hillman 3/4" Nylon Hole Plugs - Black ($1.39 for 2-pack, at that time). I'm looking at modifying mine from the following link for 2 hidden antennas (forward and aft). As of now, my whip is removed and the hole is plugged, NO NEED TO CUT THE POST OFF. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/171652-how-to-relocate-your-amfm-antenna-under-hood/ http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/93298-antenna-delete/
  19. I'm currently using one of these to hold my cell. Only problem I have with it, whenever I make a turn or a hard curve, my phone swings to the outside, turn left & phone/vent swing right, and vice verse.
  20. I didn't relocate mine, I took the whip off and plugged the hole. I don't listen to AM/FM anyways, mostly MP3s and CDs, OR XM (when they are broadcasting for FREE.
  21. For about $50 and/or less, I have completed or am going to K.O. in next few weeks..... 1) Removed my AM/FM antenna whip and will be installing "hidden antennas," when they come in. Cleaner look and I don't really listen to AM or FM, but will need them for my scanner. 2) Front Tow Hitch - found a hitch for $50 and will be installing it, hopefully, in the near future. 3) Mounted my CB antenna on the front right stake hole (about $40 invested in parts for my previous truck & $80 for the handheld router, that was not needed). 4) Tow hitch brake light - modified it to only light up when the brakes are applied. $20 for the light assy & couple of hours of research to cut the correct wire. 5) Bed lighting (#7) - Spent about $30 so far, including S/H, and looking to spend another $5 for j-box connector today/tomorrow. Should have all parts by next weekend. 6) Magnetic Phone holder (#5) - completed this one before Thanksgiving, $20. Other mods for less than $50-ish that I'm looking at doing.... 1) Window tint across top 4-5" of windshield, down even with the lane departure camera housing. Should cost less than $30. 2) #1 front/back 3) #3 4) #10&11 5) MAYBE #15
