Washed my wife's CR-V and my truck this morning, before it got too hot. Was 68ºF at 0545 when I started and 92ºF at 0900 when I finished. Her CR-V really needed it, looked like it hadn't been washed since we bought it. My truck hadn't been washed since about a month ago, when I got the oil changed in it.

Some has, there is a write up in this thread or one of the "What have you done...today" threads.

Some of the guys have put a second battery there, others have put a relay panel there for their LED lights/bars. I'm looking at putting a compressor and/or tank there for my train horn, with the horns on the bottom of the truck somewhere, eventually.

Got home from work this morning, as I was backing into my driveway, I glanced my left mirror, right as one of my sprinkler valves exploded. So, I've been running back/forth to ACE for parts, that I thought I had, but couldn't find, then for primer/cement, because what I had, had been sitting in my garage for about 8 years. On my way home from, what was hopefully, my last trip for parts, I watched what was my 2010 Ridgeline, make a turn in front of me.

bc-chris & silveradosaver, I didn't think it should, I may have bought a bad can. I bought it the day before I started to use it. My dad taught me to always hold the rattle cans upside-down for a short spray to "keep the line clear," when I was little. After the first partial coat, I cleaned the sprayer, since it was building up. Did a purge, shook the hell out of it (some more), and finished the first coat, was still clumpy, but not as bad. Gamboa, I'm wanting to do the puddle-dome light mod. Is that pins 1 & 8? Stripe toward 8?

I have read the first 623 pages of this thread, added a couple of your mods to my list from the <$50 Mod thread, and have a few questions. No links/quotes, have lost my cheatsheets during the last week or so that I have been reading this thread, in my spare time. 1) Having never messed with PlastiDip before, so I used it on my "cargo management system," from page 614-615, figured I'd use it on something that is kept more out of sight/mind, in case I screw it up. As I was coating the board that I used for it, the PlastiDip seemed to come out more clump that spray, rattle-can. Is that normal? 2) Gamboa, puddle light mod, grey wire in #1 to #8? Which wire? 3) Cupholder lighting, I may add that one to my list, but need a parts list. What wire did you tie into? Anyone know the wire location to tie it into the "night light" in the overhead, under the dash? Looking at wiring in some floor lighting, low intensity, with "night light," and bright floor lighting with the dome light. Was going to PlastiDip my bowties, but my wife had bought me some black inserts. The instructions with them said that I need to drill the gold one out. Thoughts?

Looking at pairing up with someone in the local area (SoCal) to do 1-for-1 swaps for door handles, mirror caps, and door trim. I want to go from chrome to black. If I have no takers by the end of the summer, I may end up PlastiDipping them all, over the winter.

Yesterday, I perfected a mod on a *NEW* Bully Hitch Cover Tail/Brake Light, that I had done on my original one, that I had since 2006 (or so). This mod will only work on the CR-007A model light!!! I took the tail light part of out and made it so that both the tail and the brake elements in the light bulb would shine when the brakes are applied, NO MORE TAIL LIGHT. Inside the hitch cover, I cut the brown wire even with the opening on the back, where it slides into the receiver, and at the plug. Took blue splice, slid yellow wire in the assembly into the pass-through (open side) part of the splice, slid the brown wire up into the splice (“hinge side”), made sure that the yellow and brown wires were even from the splice to the light bulb housing, crimped the splice, and closed it. Saw a red Silverado, this last week, out of FL, here in the AV. I think he may be part of this forum, he paced me for about a mile, before continuing on his way, into Mojave. It looked pretty good with the stubby antenna, but I still like the "clean look" better. I often feel like one of Dr Seuss's "star-less sneeches," when other Silverados & Sierras pull up along side me and notice that I don't have an antenna.

Cool idea, I'm thinking about adding this to my list of mods done/to-be-done. My house keys are both vehicle keys are all separated out. I only take the vehicle key with me that I need and the ring of house keys, which gets tossed into the driver's door pocket, right under the armrest.

This morning, my son and I cleared the tree trunk sage brush from the front lawn with the use of my truck.

CHP does that too, the western most overpass on CA-58, watching the flow of traffic during "rush hours." Up in the San Joaquin Valley, they would have one clocking on one on-ramp, and several others on the next one down the road. "Hunter/Killers."

Having driven around VA before, that is great!!! Now, imagine what the speed limit will yield. Mine usually shows about 22MPG (on most tanks of gas, "Trip A"), speed limit & cruise control, religiously, my overall average (according to the computer, "Trip B") is 19.2. It's relatively flat out here, and most of my driving is highway, home to/from work. I'll drive up to Tehachapi, my MPGs drop to 17-18 , BUT on the way back down, my MPGs will climb to higher than when I left to go up there .

I had to try multiple corners on each slot, before it would finally slip in.

Had my oil changed and all Tuesday (yesterday), they didn't say anything to me about the diodes.

My son and I washed my truck on Thursday, for a parade on Saturday. Tried to post pictures from the parade on Saturday, afterwards, but all of my pictures were "too big." Edwards AFB Community Queen Court (Miss Edwards AFB, Teen Miss Edwards AFB, Junior Miss Edwards AFB, Young Miss Edwards AFB, & Tiny Miss Edwards AFB) had requested the use of my truck for the Cherry Blossom Parade, in Leona Valley, CA, on 3 June. LATER THIS MORNING, I will be getting my oil changed and any other 33,000 miles PMs.

Radio Shack has them on sale, $0.78/ea. Bought mine, 2-pack for $4, had to drive 45 miles to nearest one, but was worth it. RS website is showing the 2, 3 and 4 packs for $0.78 as well.

I've pulled a U-Haul 6x12 with my '91 Nissan King Cab (Tow Cap: 3000lbs on the bumper), loaded trailer weight was double its empty weight, from Clovis, NM to Edwards AFB, CA. Pulled it no problem, seemed to tow nicely. I've pulled every enclosed (5x8 & larger) U-Haul trailer with my Silverado, and the 6x12 does feel like a boulder sized brick. The smaller ones were loaded to capacity and rolled nice. I recently borrowed a friend's 8x20, loaded it up, and man, wouldn't you know it, it pulled/rolled nicer than U-Haul's 6x12s, lately.
