You may be looking at PNK27. All of the connectors on the BCM are numbered the same. PNK26 has a brown wire in it. Black has 26. Brown has 26. Pink has 27. With #27 empty. Grey has 26.

I had the same problem. Yanked the diode, cooled off for a couple days, and tried again. Make sure that the stripe end is toward PNK26, and a good amount of lead is stuffed down in the hole. I used a fine tip jewelers screwdriver to help make room for the leads.

I took one of my smaller phillips jewelers screwdrivers to make a path for the diodes, or even one of the small common-tip jewelers to help manipulate the diode's way into place. My diode mods, from picture above. 1N4004 diode mods (strip toward second pin/wire): GRY1 to GRY8 - Puddle lights on with all interior lights BRN26 to PNK26 - Cargo lights on with Reverse (reverse the diode for R lights on with Cargo) BRN18 to BRN22 - Fogs on with High Beams (Silverado's Lows stay on with Highs) There are others for Park/Low on all the time, Fogs on with Lows, Fogs always on, etc. Believe the entire list is in "$50 and under modifications" thread, could also be in this thread somewhere.

iPhone7+! To knowledge, iPhones to not have wireless charging capability. Besides, my iPhone will not fit in that spot. I've been plugging it into one of the center box USBs and laying it in the "pen/pencil trays" in the front of the center console. Drove to/from work last night, this morning, and it actually stayed in place fairly well. Slide/Swung back/forth going through the serpentines, heading off base. Although, not as bad as the Steelie that I had on my left-center vent. May have to alter the base piece a little more, to get it to sit better, and in the forward-most part of the pocket.

Cut the base to fit with a cooping saw, and cut the suction cup "stem" between the arms to remove the suction cup and lever. Cut a pair of slots to fit the tabs inside the pocket. Oversized the hole from the suction cup/lever to fit the cord, with 3/8" drill bit. Ran the cord from one of the three on the front of the center console, cord was too short to go where I wanted it too, to/through the holder. Now, to get the stupid thing to quit falling out of the pocket while driving. Waymon, any suggetions?

For the back, it's for an older truck. BUT, for the front, there have been other that have installed it on their '14 and up.

If anyone is looking, I stumbled across another Reese 37042 for $40, in Alhambra, CA (Los Angeles), on CraigsList. This is one of the makes/models that guys have been using for a front tow hitch, only downside, will have to removed the front plate holder and cut a hole. Most of the guys are using 30" & 32" light bars. Not sure if the 40" will fit.

You can jumper that too with the same diode.

All you will need is a 1N4004 diode ($0.98 @ Radio Shack, if there's one near you), needlenose pliers (maybe), and (I used) a small common jeweler's screwdriver. Also, you are going to need a diagram of your Yukon's BCM (not sure if Yukon is the same as Silverado/Sierra), so you know which pins to jumper.

Pretty easy, only took me about 5 minutes, once I had the diode and confirmed which pins I was connecting to. Now, my wife's CR-V and daughter's Cruze, they aren't going to be so easy.

Like what you did there. My cupholder is in the forward most position. Currently, my phone lays in the "pen slots," in front of the cupholder, and my power/data cord runs under the cupholder and into the center console USBs. When I modify a phoneholder that I am working on, it will mount in the cubby on the front right dash (above the light knob), and the cord will run under the dash, under the center console and back into the center console box. Hopefully, before this weekend.

Grab a chunk of dry-ice, a very hot/sunny day, and pop it out, IF it is not creased. If it is creased, you run the risk of cracking the paint. Can do the same trick with hail dents. Was taught to let the vehicle set out in the sun for a hour or two, to get the body good and hot, take a chuck of dry-ice, swirl it to the center of the dent, stop for about a second, and pull straight out from the surface.

What did I do with my truck today (well, yesterday)? I rolled past 38K and went down to buy my daughter a Chevy Cruze Eco. As soon as I got home with it, she was telling me what mods, that I have done to my Silverado, that she wants done to it. 1) All forward-facing white lights on with HI-beams 2) LEDs all the way around (inside/outside) (I haven't finished this one yet with my truck) 3) Phone holder (current/primary project for me) I may throw in (when I do mine): 1) Lights under the hood 2) LED strip lights underneath (when I throw on my nerf bar lights) 3) Better trunk lighting 4) Footwell lighting(?)

OUCH!!! $600??? Surely, you exaggerate, or you got robbed. Mine was $530, almost a year ago, expected to be very close to or just under $500 this year. Be glad that you didn't bring it in from out of state. Friend was charged almost $1,000 to register his '13 Ram from Utah, reg fee BS + "SALES TAX," because sales tax in UT is lower than CA. A bunch of the "out of state" types need to band together and SUE CA for charging sales tax on something that was bought OUT OF STATE!!!! Trucks are charged more for registration, because "they can go commercial anytime." I so want to go back to AZ or NM. NM charged strictly by the weight of the vehicle, 5,350 lbs = $53.50/yr, or so it seemed, and they didn't charge me sales tax when I brought my '91 Nissan King Cab into NM from CA.
