  1. Not sure what it actually is, was already on the truck when I bought it. Not looking to cover it, going to replace it, edge to edge. Actually looking for same stuff, or something like it.
  2. I'm looking to replace the film on the driver's side mirror, and install some on the passenger side mirror. Would like to completely cover both side mirrors, edge to edge. Was getting blinded by the passenger side mirror, the edges of the driver's side mirror, and the "blind spot bubble," on my way home from working "graveyard shift." I may just tint them with regular window tint.
  3. When I originally read your comment, I thought "It's painted, it won't rust." Gassed up today, on the way to work, GUESS WHAT?!! Bolt head has a little bit of rust on it. Got a new "idea" that I'm going to execute in the next couple days.
  4. Post a (closeup) picture of what you have, and some of us will try to get you going in the right direction. May be as simple as tapping into the wrong/adjacent pins.
  5. Loaded up our $$ recycles (cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, & glass), trying to get to the recycling center before they closed today. Should have woken up sooner. Oh well, ready for Monday. Bed is full, front to tailgate, wall to wall, floor to tonneau cover, just about every cubic inch. Looking to be about $80.
  6. Have any of you heard about "light bulb grease"? I saw it at AutoZone, the other day, and have NEVER heard of it before. It's "non-conductive." Suppose to keep things like what happened to CrazyKid38 & Skeeter from happening. I may start using it with each bulb change, from now on.
  7. Cargo on with reverse lights, or reverse lights on with cargo? If you stumble across my diode photo, mine is set cargo on with reverse. For reverse on with cargo, turn the diode around.
  8. You're welcome. I am still looking at doing mine, but with LEDs. Bunch of the guys said they were tired of trying to find a way to splice them into the cargo lights, so it was suggested to connect at the j-box under the bed, then someone found/made a connector for the j-box. I know that I have a lot of reading ahead of me, when I finally go for this project.
  9. The part number(s) that you are looking for are listed in one of these, think it was in the LONG one, "LED Under Rail Bed Lighting."
  10. Sorry, I don't. Mine vanished before Sunday, damaged picture was taken a week or two prior. I had the bolt/nut sitting in my truck, for just such an occasion, and since it was MIA, I replaced it that day.
  11. From the album: Ravenkeeper's 2015 Silverado LTZ Z71 (Black) w/ Off-Road Package

If you look at the "left" side, you'll see that the "tip" is broken off, compared to the "right" side. This allowed the weight of the fuel nozzle to push the fill tube away from the bed.
  12. Nowhere did I mention "capless." There is at least one other thread for that, in the modifications forum. The fill tube housing is held in place, at the bed, by a flimsy plastic "fastener." You can see the bolt that I installed, just inside the fuel door. One of the expansion parts of the fastener broke, back in September, on my way back from San Diego, and I've been just reinserting it until yesterday.
  13. Today, my son and I gassed it up, fixed my fill tube, and drove up to Tehachapi to return a few things, that I no longer needed. Unfortunately, I'll have to go up there AGAIN, later this week, Radio Shack was closed. Next time I'm at ACE, I'll get the specs for the bolt/nut. When I picked them up, I almost bought "chrome" ones, but then caught a glimpse of these a couple sections over. My son ran the nut down, in this case up, the bolt from under the bed. We then switched places, so I could make sure that the nut was on there good and tight. Survived our 80+ mile trip to Tehachapi, from Edwards AFB, and back to the house. A few weeks ago, I was filling up and noticed that another Silverado owner, from Florida, had the same issue. He was reinstalling his broken plastic fastener, when he was done filling up, just like I was repeatedly doing, until today.

Incorrect configuration/installation. Insulator was under the mount and NOT under the spring. Tuning the antenna, in this configuration, included tuning in the bed too.
  16. From the album: Ravenkeeper's 2015 Silverado LTZ Z71 (Black) w/ Off-Road Package

Went from Heavy Duty Spring to Super Duty Spring, since my antenna was laying back 45º, at the spring, at 45MPH.

CB is slightly raised because the 90º adapter for the antenna cable fell apart and I connected the cable directly to the radio.
  18. That brake pad looks like the ones I got from NAPA in June of '13, and replaced them again in September of '13, on our '10 Mustang. Will NEVER buy from NAPA again.
  19. Friday, on my way to work, I swung by ACE, and picked up a nut, washers and bolt for my fill port, and another set for my phone holder. Was going to put them in on Saturday, but the constant rain changed that plan. Had too much going on on Sunday. Might go and take care of it tonight during my lunch break or tomorrow after I wake up.
